While many of the settlements on Uckeritz debuted as vacation resorts a 100 or so years ago, you won't be seeing urban high-rise hotels and rowdy seaside clubs 'round here. Think forests, dunes, sandy beaches, and picturesque little villages. Nature lovers will want to check out the wetlands of the Wockninsee preserve, where you'll find rare wildflowers and a walking trail.
Transportation options to and around Ueckeritz
The nearest airport is in Heringsdorf (HDF), located 10 mi (16 km) from the city center. If you can't find a flight that's convenient for your trip, you might consider flying into Peenemuende (PEF), which is 14.6 mi (23.5 km) away.
If you prefer to travel by train, Ückeritz Station, Neu Pudagla/Forstamt Station and Schmollensee Station are the main stations that serve the city.
