Exclusive, sunny, brand-new vacation apartment with the charm of an old barn

Welcome to our newly built, sunny holiday rental in the Ostallgäu—converted from a former barn.

You’ll find a light-filled, modern holiday rental with upscale amenities in a wonderful, quiet location with mountain views.

Spread across just under 150 square metres, you’ll find two bedrooms, each with a double bed (1.8 m), as well as another bedroom with a double bed (1.8 m) and an additional single bed that can be pulled out, offering space for up to two people.

The holiday rental has two bathrooms. The spacious lower bathroom features a very generous, walk-in rain shower.
The highlight of the upstairs bathroom is a bathtub installed beneath the sloped ceiling and skylight, creating a cosy swimming experience.

The living room offers a great view of the mountains and feels particularly cosy thanks to the exposed beams and the loft area. The large sofa provides enough space for all guests. The wingback chair, placed separately from the sofa, offers additional seating and is the perfect spot to read a book or magazine in peace.

Cooking is a real pleasure in the open, spacious kitchen with a kitchen island and modern, high-quality appliances (such as the induction cooktop). Right next to it is the large cedar dining table with 8 comfortable chairs. On cold winter days, you can watch the fire in the wood-burning stove from both the kitchen and the dining table.

The apartment features one east-facing and one west-facing balcony. This means you can enjoy the sun on one of the two balconies throughout the day. The balconies are equipped with seating and lounge chairs. The balconies are not wide enough to accommodate a dining table. Barbecuing is also not permitted due to the fire hazard.

Last but not least, there is a storage room with a washing machine, which can be used free of charge.

The apartment is equipped with a capsule coffee machine (for Nespresso and all other capsules compatible with this system).
You’ll receive a few free capsules to get you started—compatible capsules are now available at almost every supermarket (including the village store).
There’s also a standard drip coffee maker.

If needed, my parents’ apartment can also be rented. This provides an additional double bed, a single bed, and a bathroom. The apartment and the house are located in the same building.

Since the apartment was converted from a former barn, it unfortunately wasn’t possible to install effective soundproofing inside the unit. As a result, the apartment is somewhat prone to noise. However, this only applies inside the apartment itself and not to the adjacent unit.

There are plenty of activities to enjoy in the surrounding area.
Depending on your mood, you can take solitary walks and hikes through the diverse natural landscape of the beautiful Ostallgäu region or go swimming in one of the numerous lakes. In the immediate vicinity of Görisried, for example, you’ll find the Schwarzenberger Weiher, the Schwaltenweiher, or the natural outdoor pool in Görisried.
If you’re looking for something less secluded, the town of Füssen—with its royal castles and charming old town—the Tannheimer Valley, or Oberstdorf are all just a short drive away.
Even Lindau (about an hour) or Munich (about 1.5 hours) are within easy reach for a day trip—depending on your preference, by car or by train from the stations in Kempten, Marktoberdorf, or Kaufbeuren.
Ski resorts catering to a wide range of preferences are also within easy reach (10–45 minutes).
