The unspoiled Bodden beach is right outside your door, so nothing stands in the way of sunny days at the beach. The proximity to Lauterbach is ideal; here you’ll find a wide variety of attractions, such as the Lauterbach marina, the “Rasender Roland” narrow-gauge train station, or the theater in Putbus. In Lauterbach, you can enjoy the idyllic tranquility right by the water and treat yourself to a fish sandwich on the smoking boat. There are also various shopping options in the immediate vicinity. In Putbus, the former princely residence, you can enjoy not only the theater and the beautiful buildings from the princely era but, above all, walks through the sprawling palace gardens. In addition to the beautiful lakes and streams, you can also see fallow deer and red deer here, which now call a large enclosure in the palace gardens home.
A special experience is an expertly guided excursion to the nature reserve island of Vilm, located about 3 km southeast of Lauterbach, approximately 20 km from the mainland.
