2 Bedroom Sleeps 4 Wonderful Eclectic Home on One Acre Lot W/Hot Tub and Tipis
Rent a house in the Heart of the Rocky Mountains. This Cozy Gallatin Gateway House is centrally located between The Big Sky Ski Resort and Bridger Bowl Ski Resort. (45 min drive either way). Take a short easy 15 minute drive to Beautiful Bozeman.
The Historic and Legendary Steak House and Cowboy bar, "The Old Faithful Inn" , aka-"Stacy's" is less than a block away, where you will delight in the best burger and steak in the west.
There are three other restaurant/bars within 5 to 10 min. I can supply more info later if you wish.
The house has two upstairs bedrooms which have very comfortable queen beds with down comforters. The bedroom to the west, features french doors that open to the deck, which leads to the hot tub. There is a third bedroom downstairs, where the washer and dryer are located, but be aware, there is only one bathroom, and I prefer not using that room, If however, it will be needed please let me know ahead of time.
The Kitchen is fully stocked with everything you could possibly want.
The art deco bathroom is small yet a pleasure to tub or shower in.
The house is cozy, warm & comfortable, with large couch for lounging and watching a large screen TV, (Netflix, &, WiFi)
Large dinning table, sitting room, Bar. And of course the hot tub.
I love to share this property but this property is not a party venue!!

About Gwen Allen
I grew up in Bozeman Mt. Kindergarten through collage, I have also lived in Kallispell Mt., birthplace of my oldest daughter. I spent 4 glorious years in Paradise Valley Mt. and also resided in Castle Rock Colorado where my other two children were born. I have been in the antique business for the last 15 years and have now had the opportunity to head south for the winter. I have family nearby who will be taking care of my property.
Gwen Allen purchased this House in 2006
Why Gwen Allen chose Gallatin Gateway
I moved to Gallatin Gateway because I just wanted to live a less hectic life, and living just out side of the Bozeman donut has provided me with a quiet country living yet close to city life. The property is located on an acre of land so I have plenty of space. I bought the house in 2006 and did an almost complete remodel, I was able to incorporate my sense of style and design, and many elements of antiques. The stove is true vintage 1950, and works great.
What makes this House unique
I love the space and freedom this area allows. I have a tipi in the yard, horses next door and the night time sky and soaking in the hot tub is wonderful entertainment. You can even hear the Gallatin River from my house which is just yards away. A short walk will take you to the river, to great food and entertainment, yet the property nestled in and quite private.

Quaint and comfortable...
Fun, eclectic art and collectibles are throughout this charming home. The kitchen has ecerything you need, including endless spices. There is a wonderful table to dine at, as well 3 barstools at the counter. There are several wonderful seating areas including the backyard to relax and read. We had a wonderful stay, very comfortable.
A funky little place close to tons of fun
Really enjoyed this weekend getaway! Styling and interior decor on this place is eclectic with a hippy dippy kind of feel. Hot tub and grill were perfect for post skiing recovery and the kitchen and dinning room are more than ample with everything you could possibly need.
Thank you for the nice review, I agree that the house is eclectic, not sure about the hippy dippy???
Breath taking Oasis
This place is amazing! As soon as you walk in the door, you are immediately stunned by the incredible collection of antiques and art work. Gwen has set this property up to be the perfect oasis after a long day hiking mountains and living Big Sky adventures. There is a peace about every room, and every day I saw something new and interesting in the house. The location is absolutely perfect for all the great local hikes, as well as bouncing over to Bozeman or sliding down to Big Sky. My family fell in love, we are DEFINITELY booking this place again and again. I can't say enough good things. Beautiful, peaceful, and incredible!
Thank you so much, it was wonderful meeting you and your family! Till next time!
Very cute, cozy house in a great little community.
Loved the house and all the work Gwen has put into it. She was very accommodating and set up a bed in the tipi for us. Perfect place for a family but not for two couples due to a lack of privacy. There are two doorways leading into one of the two bedrooms (I wouldn't count the bed downstairs as a sleeping space because it's in an unfinished basement) and one doorway has a porch door with a screen that you can see through. The other doorway has no door, so it's impossible to have any privacy in that room. The other bedroom and the rest of the house, along with the hot tub, is excellent.
Thank you for the kind words! And yes it is true that only one bedroom has a door. If couples want to get really randy, the house might not be your best Choice .....I also do not advertise the bedroom in the basement, however people have used that space along with the tipi. The house is unique with options...Thank you!!
We loved staying at this house. It had tons of room and charm! The hot tub was fabulous and the town was great. Close to Big Sky and Bridger Bowl. Stacy's Old Faithful was a great place to eat!
Beautiful, funky place to stay
Cool house in a cool location. Lot's of room to spread out and relax. We'd like to come back in the summer to enjoy more of the outside. The nice deck made it easy to shovel a path in the snow to the hot tub. Some doors on the bedroom would be an improvement. Thanks!
Gallatin Gateway is a quick 20 min. drive from the airport. 15 min drive from Bozeman. The small town of Salesville is just off of HWY 191 was renamed Gallatin Gateway simply because it was the Milwaukee Railroad's last stop before the Yellowstone National Parks West Entrance. (now 1 1/2 hour drive). Gallatin Gateway is a small, quaint town and home to Stacys, Old Faithful Inn, a famous old west, Bar/restaurant, established in the 1930s, and just one block away. Stacys has a band every weekend, and the food is wonderful, best burger I have ever had, and I have tried many. The property you will be staying at is nestled between two amazing ski resorts, Big Sky Resort, & Bridger Bowl, each a 45 min drive. Both areas have snow shoeing, sledding, cross country skiing, ice skating, snowmobiling, all the wonderful winter activity's one comes to the mountains for. Just down the road 15 min. is Bozeman which hosts all Mountain living amenities. Bozeman is home to the Museum of the Rockies, movie theaters, occasional live theater, fitness facilities, shopping, antiquing...and so much more. Many a fisherman flock to this area because the Fly Fishing, is epic here, with the Gallatin River, Madison, Jefferson, Missouri, Yellowstone, Big Hole Rivers within close proximity. This is a wonderful spot just off the beaten path, but one you will be very comfortable at.
