Situated directly on Lake Como, Apartment El Lavandee is located in Fiumelatte, south of Varenna on the eastern shore of the lake. The newly renovated apartment has a beautiful lake view and a small terrace. It consists of a living room, a well-equipped kitchen, 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and can accommodate 5 people. Additional amenities include Wi-Fi (suitable for video calls), air conditioning and SAT-TV. In the child-friendly accommodation you can get a crib and a children's high chair on request.

In front of the house there is a direct access to the lake. Here you can go swimming already in the morning. From the small open terrace there is a small table and two chairs. Here you can enjoy wonderful hours with a fantastic lake view while having a hearty breakfast or a glass of wine in the evening at sunset.

In Fiumelatte there are 2 restaurants (1 km). Numerous restaurants, cafes and bars overlooking the lake can be found in Varenna, 2 km away (5 minutes by car). The castle Castello di Vezio is also worth a visit. From Varenna you can take boat trips to the opposite lakeshore to the charming town of Menaggio and drift along its alleys. The nearest public beach is a 10-minute drive from your accommodation (7 km). The nearest airport in Lugano can be reached in 90 minutes by car (41 km).

Kind and responsive host who lives in space above the rental. Nicely appointed rental with all the necessary amenities. It was nice to have a clean washer and dryer mid-vacation and a kitchen with everything you could need. The view is exceptional with large windows to enjoy the sunsets.

Spacious apartment with wonderful views

Pros: The apartment was very clean, air-conditioned and modern with unforgettable views of the lake and mountains from the large kitchen window. It had everything you could need and was very spacious. The hosts, Daniela and Marco, are very friendly and they gave us a tour of the apartment on our arrival and left some lovely treats for us. Cons: Restaurants are either a long walk or a drive away.

Gorgeous area

Such a nice place. We have stayed in many short-term rentals and this one by far was one of the best. So clean, wonderful hosts and the attention to detail on their furnishings and what they provided was fantastic. We didn’t cook much except breakfast. The road outside is a bit busy so bring earplugs, but location and the beauty made you forget.

Charming Property

We were very happy with our stay at this property. Daniela & Marco are very kind people and were very welcoming upon our arrival. They even provided us with some local treats and bottle of Prosecco! They were very responsive to our questions as well. There is a designated parking space and access to a small beach right across the street. Beds are comfortable and having two bathrooms for our family was a bonus. If you are planning to cook, I recommend stopping in Lecco on your way to the property so you don't have to backtrack. We woud definately stay here again.

Great week at El Lavandee

The apartment could not be nicer. Everything looks new and it was very clean. Great views out of the kitchen, bedroom and front porch area. Fifteen minute walk to the Fiumelatte train station. Daniella and Marco were great hosts. They answered any quesitions we had. This place was great for our visit to Lake Como.

OUR STAY IN VARENNA

Everything about the house is fantastic with great views across Lake Como. The hosts, Danielle and Marco were flgreat and greeted us upon arrival. We were very spoilt with a bottle of bubbly and delicious snacks. The house was a little further out of Varenna than we thought, but we love to walk and we think we left fitter than when we arrived. We would definitely recommend staying at El Lavandee.

Marco and Daniela are both amazing! Not only did they offer to pick us up and drop us off to the train station, they also offered to drop us to Varenna one of the days! We were welcomed with snacks and Prosecco at the apartment, which also had all of the amenities you will ever need. Could not fault this stay, and looking forward to visiting again!

Darling 2bedroom with space to spread out

The owner is so kind and met us personally to show us the property. Amenities are superb. Super clean and over the top host arranging Prosecco upon our arrival at our request. Taxis to the location were difficult to arrange; I can’t imagine during the busy season! However, the host arranged transfer from train station both ways for us! So KIND! I would suggest arranging groceries delivered if your intention is to cook. Highly recommend this family owned property since early 1900s.

Casa davanti al lago con tutti i comfort

Pros: La casa si trova davanti al lago, ideale per chi volesse andare in spiaggia senza l’utilizzo dell’auto. La proprietaria è stata carinissima: ci ha accolto con una bottiglia di spumante e ottimi biscotti. L’appartamento è arredato nei minimi dettagli e non manca di nulla. Grazie!

This property is beautiful, spacious & updated. Gorgeous lake & mountain views with easy access to beachfront. Hosts communicated very well. Only thing I would say is let people know to reserve taxis ahead of time for everything. We were stranded at train station when we got there. A friendly local gave us a ride. It would’ve been a 40 min walk with luggage without sidewalks on a busy road to get there. Also there isn’t a way to get food if you get in late. Nothing nearby, no delivery options. Luckily they had a few snacks for us. They gave us a print of Varenna to take home which was really nice.

Sehr modernes und neu eingerichtetes Apartment,mit komplett ausgestatteter Küche, Waschmaschine und Trockner, sowie 2 Bäder. Sehr sauber, kurzer Weg zum See und sehr nette und hilfsbereite Vermieter. Immer wieder gerne.
