With Minnewaska and Sam's Point State parks, and the Sundown Wild Forest all within easy reach, this modern mountain home is an ideal base for hiking, biking, and exploring nearby towns and trails. The outdoors surround this cozy home, with views of Bear Hill visible from the kitchen and living room windows, and a Shawangunk Ridge State Forest trailhead just across the road.



Guests enter the home from an oversized deck, and the top level opens into a welcoming, open-concept living room, kitchen, and eat-in dining area that feels bright, comfortable, and easy to gather in. This floor includes a guest bedroom with a queen bed and a shared bathroom with a tub-shower combo. The primary suite, also on this floor features a king bed and a spacious ensuite bath with an oversized and beautifully tiled standing shower.



Downstairs, the home is designed for relaxing and gathering with your group, with a full-size dining table and a cozy couch and TV lounge. For those that need to make a quick check-in or work remotely during their stay, this area also offers a standing desk. Getting Around:

Cragsmoor Cottage is just 2 hours from New York City and guests can travel around by car as it is a rural area with limited public transportation. The main routes to access the town are the New York State Thruway (I-87), Route 17, and the Palisades Interstate Parkway



In the winter, we recommend a car with four-wheel drive that can handle the snow and gravel roads.
