About this property
Dog-friendly home with deck & firepit, walk to 500+ acres of off-leash trails
Find the perfect place for both relaxation and adventure at this comfortable home in Happy Valley, a fantastic spot for getting outside and enjoying the great outdoors. This dog-friendly house sits among lofty evergreens on half an acre of land, with over 500 acres of off-leash hiking trails accessible one street over.
With its abundant public lands and trails, Happy Valley makes a wonderful home base in the Whitefish area. When you're not taking your dogs for long walks near home, you'll be a quick drive from artsy downtown Whitefish (six miles), downtown Kalispell (11 miles), and Whitefish Mountain Resort (12 miles). The west entrance of spectacular Glacier National Park is within a 28-mile drive as well.
Summer days here are for hiking, mountain biking, and spending the afternoons in the yard out back. Sear steaks on the gas grill, dine at sunset on the deck, and roast marshmallows and tell stories around the outdoor firepit.
Inside, the house is casual and comfortable, with cozy living rooms on each of the two floors. Prepare meals together using stainless steel kitchen appliances, stream movies (with your own accounts) after dinner each night, and leave the day's clothes to spin in the washer/dryer as you head off to bed.

Thank you for your feedback and for the kind words about the home. We're sorry to hear about the BBQ and fire pit not being usable during your stay. We’ll make sure propane is readily available moving forward so both are fully functional for future guests. We hope to host you for an improved stay in the future!
beautiful home with many amenities. stayed here with family in late september 2024. great value for the price. would definitely stay here again if travelling with family.
Great location and a nice neighborhood! The walking trails were great. We came in the summer and it was awesome but I think it also would be a great location for skiing. The house is a little worn out and the carpets are dirty but otherwise a great stay!

Awesome location
The house was amazing and the location was great! We were at State Rodeo at the Majestic Valley Arena and it was wonderful. We barbequed on the lovely patio and there was little to no traffic around the house. I would highly recommend this property!

If you have a dog, this property is perfect. There were miles of trails in the 500 acres to enjoy. The location between Kalispell and Whitefish gave easy access to both for shopping, dining and some great golf courses. Plenty of deer and turkeys wandering the neighborhood , sometimes looking in the patio door at us - that was fun. The place was exceptionally clean and met all our expectations. We would certainly reserve this property again.

Happy Vacation in Happy Valley
The entire experience from making the initial reservation to checking out was excellent. The house was as nice as advertised and included even more amenities than listed in the description. Everything we needed for a wonderful stay was provided. All we had to bring were our personal belongings. They even provided hiking/camping gear for guest use!
The house is in a quiet neighborhood of homes with large wooded lots. It is private without being isolated. We loved that we could take our golden retriever one block for hours of hiking on forest trails. It is within close proximity to both Whitefish and Kalispell where there are plenty of dining and entertainment options. We went to Whitefish every day to walk the beautiful trails along the Whitefish River and then have coffee and a sweet treat at one of the many coffee shops downtown.
It is also a longer but pretty drive to the West Entrance of Glacier National Park. Although we did not spend any time in the Park on this trip, we certainly can see how wonderful this house would be as a base for exploring the Park.
My husband and I and our 10 year old golden retriever Moose highly recommend this happy retreat in Hapoy Valley and plan to return as many times as we can!
