lovely owner, but not the best for tall people!
Very friendly greeting by the owner, who made us feel at home. First the positives: Nice big comfortable bed, in a quiet area, convenient for supermarket and close to other amenities and the beach. Nice little garden which belonged to the whole property. Private fridge for the 2 rented rooms to share.The things to be aware of:The rooms are under the VERY slanted roof and not suitable for tall people. We could only stand upright in the very centre of the room (and even then my partner didnt fit!)- and had to watch out for the light and smoke alarm on the ceiling! There is no wardrobe, but there is a thing to hang clothes on. The chest-of-drawers was VERY low and flat and again if you were to use it, you would have to be careful not to hit your head on the ceiling. The bathroom is downstairs and shared with the other rented room (and I think the landlady and her son too)- all very clean, but you need to walk through their kitchen to use the bathroom. There is an area where the guests of the 2 rooms can eat/prepare breakfast (toaster,kettle,coffee machine)but this would is very small if both rooms were eating breakfast at the same time- we chose not to use it. There is also a bathroom in a small building in the garden just a few metres from the back door of the house.So, good location, friendly landlady, clean and quiet,but if youre tall or looking for more privacy then the above points should be taken into account.
