Amazing home and an amazing host family

We loved staying at the home. Lot of history around this home. Even the host family was very kind and loving. The location is also very peaceful, away from the city hustle. Highly recommend staying here

We missed a connection causing us to be 4 hours later than anticipated. Teresa was in constant contact with us as we drove through the darkness. She was waiting for us with a beautiful loaf of bread! When she found out we had no food, she brought us some food and drink to get us through breakfast in the morning! When we awoke in the morning the beauty was overwhelming!! Beds were comfy, house was cute, but the grounds and the scenery were amazing! The pic nic area down by the river was pure joy!

A magical get away in the Swiss Alps

This remote chalet is outside of a tiny little town called Isenthal, but really is about 30 minutes from anything that could be considered a town. The road here is VERY narrow and twisty, so you need to be OK with mountain driving, but once you are here you will find yourself in the most magical valleys I have ever been anywhere in the world. Plan an extra day to just to hangout in the valley, take the tram up to the next village, and spend an evening cooking dinner by the river. I will be coming back in the future and staying longer, there is no higher praise for a VRBO

One of the most beautiful places on Earth

The home was well equipped with comfortable beds and hospitable touches. The hosts went above and beyond to help us with a car charger issue we were having. The ceilings are low, and so some of us had to duck through doorways. We also had a maintenance issue that the hosts promptly responded to. There were 2 large beds, and we had our 3 teens stay in the living room, 1 on the futon, 1 in the little nook, and 1 on the trundle so my mom could have a bedroom to herself. We had drizzly cold weather, but were still able to enjoy the spacious grounds- particularly down the hill between the rushing creek and gentler stream where we started a fire and roasted Swiss sausages while enjoying the view of the waterfall, hills, and distant snow covered mountains. If you're brave enough to drive up the side of the mountain and don't mind not seeing the lake from your window, here is an opportunity to visit a rural and idyllic Swiss village near the lovely Lake Lucerne.

Charming Chalet; beautiful place!

It is worth the drive to be nestled into the mountains at the most beautiful place in the world! The chalet was the perfect size for our family of 5. The owners are the sweetest, making us bread, leaving notes, writing our name on a chalk heart that hangs outside and telling us all the good places to visit. I’m you can tell they really care about the people staying at their place and make you feel so welcome. There is a cable car ride up a mountain not far from the chalet with amazing hikes. There is a river that runs through the property. It’s so peaceful, healing and gorgeous! We all enjoyed a moment to unwind. There is a nice tv, kitchen table and outdoor seating. We are in the patio and just took in the view. The kitchen is stocked with dishes and pans. The bedding was so warm and the beds so comfortable, we didn’t even want to leave the chalet. There is a small grocery store in town. We had actually stopped in Lucerne to buy groceries, but we were pleasantly surprised by the local grocery. It is not open on Sundays. We drove around the lake past sisikon, there is another big town that’s fun to visit. There is a Lidl in between. I cannot say enough good things about this place! It’s amazing!! We loved it all!

Gemütliche ruhige Berghütte. Sehr nette Gastgeber. Zufahrt nach Isenthal über steilen schmalen Bergpass - nur eine Autobreite Platz. Macht aber Spaß.

Wunderschöne, idyllisch gelegene Ferienwohnung mitten im Grünen. Ein Ort zum runterkommen und relaxen aber auch ein guter Ausgangspunkt zum Wandern. Den Platz am Bach mit Liegen und Grillmöglichkeit fanden wir besonders schön. Wenn das Wetter wärmer gewesen wäre, hätten wir hier öfters verweilt. Der Bus fährt quasi vor der Haustür stündlich und gleich um die Ecke befindet sich eine Seilbahn um auf den Berg zu kommen. Da kann man das Auto auch mal ein paar Tage stehen lassen. Unsere nette Gastgeberin hat uns als Willkommensgeschenk einen Hefezopf gebacken und zum Abschied gab es noch ein Gläschen leckeren Honig. Vielen lieben Dank! Leider war die Zeit hier viel zu kurz, deshalb kommen wir bestimmt bald wieder.

Herrliche Ferienwohnung

Wir hatten eine wundervolle Woche in der Erdgeschoss - Ferienwohung in Schweigmatt. Das Haus liegt traumhaft in ruhiger Alleinlage am Berghang. Einrichtung und Ausstattung der Wohnung sind top, es ist alles vorhanden und das in sehr guter Qualität. Die Gastgeber sind sehr freundlich und unkompliziert. Die Unterkunft ist sehr zu empfehlen !

Großartige Ferienwohnung in traumhafter Umgebung

Die Ferienwohnung im EG ist wirklich toll, sehr gut aufgeteilt und es fehlt an nichts! Die Lage in den Bergen und die ruhige, wunderschöne Umgebung lassen einen wirklich zur Ruhe kommen und der Platz am Bach ist für Groß und Klein wirklich schön, wir haben dort fast jeden Abend mit Lagerfeuer verbracht. Das Vermieterpaar ist sehr freundlich und bei der Ankunft stand ein frischgebackener Hefezopf auf dem Tisch. Man kann direkt vom Haus aus loswandern oder verschiedene Ausflüge nach Altdorf oder an den Urner See machen. Absolut empfehlenswert!

Hier passt alles!

Bereits vor der Anreise gab es von der Vermieterin sehr genaue Informationen und hilfreiche Tipps zum Aufenthalt in Isenthal. Die Ferienwohnung ist perfekt ausgestattet, es fehlt wirklich nichts. Sehr saubere, mit Liebe zum Detail eingerichtete Wohnung. Die Umgebung ist märchenhaft schön und perfekt zum Entspannen und Wandern. Wir kommen ganz bestimmt wieder.

Très beau chalet en pleine nature

Séjour dans un chalet confortable, très bien équipé, et fonctionnel. Ce chalet a beaucoup de cachet. Le joli fond de vallée dans lequel il se situe permet de se promener directement sans prendre la voiture. A savoir : la route pour monter à Isenthal est très étroite.

Tolle ruhige Lage, besonders der Platz am Bach ist idyllisch. Alles vorhanden, was man in einer Fewo braucht. Netter Vermieter. Man kann direkt von der Wohnung loswandern.

Gateaway in the mountains

We enjoyed a four night stay in this breathtaking environment. The apartment was nice and clean and the owners are very friendly. It should though be mentioned in the description that you have to leave your car about 300 m from the house during winter time. However, the owners are very helpful and transport your luggage back and forth so this is it not a problem, but is good to know in advance.

Tolles Ambiente

Uns hat es sehr gut gefallen, die FeWo hat ein tolles Ambiente, ist sehr gut ausgestattet, lädt zum Wohlfühlen ein. Alles passt wunderbar. Großzügigkeit ist angesagt. Nur die Schafe und Kühe sind zu hören, alles sehr friedlich und besonders die schöne Landschaft lädt zum erholen ein.

Gemütliche Ferienwohnung

Wir durften zusammen mit unseren 3 Kindern (4-9 Jahre alt) einige erholsame Tage in der sehr gemütlich eingerichteten Ferienwohnung verbringen. Der Kontakt mit den Vermietern war hervorragend. Es fehlte uns wirklich an nichts. Alles war sehr sauber und in bestem Zustand. Kann man nur weiter empfehlen! Wir kommen bestimmt wieder.
