In the "Retreat Lodge Schürmatt" in the Solothurn Jura you will live like Swiss: inside in a spacious country house. The villa is suitable for families or groups of up to 10 people; be it for relaxing, hiking, visiting cities or even for creative work with your team or with your loved ones in quiet natural surroundings.
Visit Solothurn in between (13 minutes by post bus) - the most beautiful baroque city in Switzerland. The Swiss capital Bern is not far; you are also quickly in the French-speaking part of Switzerland. The nearby mountain Balmberg (12 minutes) or the top of Weissenstein offer a fantastic view of the Swiss Alps. A paradise for hikers or mountain bikers.
The Aare river is also not far away and invites you for a river bath in summer. In winter, warm yourself by the fireplace or in the wellness area with sauna. Take your time.

Wonderful property in a lovely location!

I don't have enough good things to say about our stay here. The property was spacious enough to easily accommodate the 12 people in our party, and it's location allowed easy access to Solothurn as well as access via train to skiing in the Alps. Vinzenz was very easy to communicate with and helpful leading up to the stay, providing information on local events and attractions. Afterwards he has posted a few items we forgot back to us. 10/10 would love to stay here again!

What a good idea to have a family get-together between Christmas and New Year's Eve. The Retreat Lodge Schürmatt seems to be the perfect place for this. Tim organised everything perfectly and spent a few days here together with 11 family members and pets. Communication with Tim was excellent before, during and after the stay. The guests took great care and left the house clean. This is not a matter of course with such a large group. The house rules were adhered to perfectly. We would very much like to welcome Tim and his family back to Günsberg.

wonderful house

I stayed in the house with my husband, 2yo daughter and my parents and we had a lovely time. The house has everything you need and is organised, spacious and very comfortable. The house has a big garden. Communication with the owner of the house was excellent and check-in and out very easy. He seems very friendly and gave us recommendations of things to do in the surroundings. I would definitely come back and recommend the house.

We had an amazing time staying at Vinzenz house! The location couldn’t be better. The house is a walking distance to a number of scenic hikes and 10 minutes drive from the beautiful city of Solothurn. The villa is a huge family home with multiple seating areas outside. Majority of the rooms have beautiful views. We enjoyed eating outside overseeing gorgeous panoramic views of Swiss landscapes and Alps. The house has a lot of character and we felt at home. A special highlight was communicating with the owner, Vinzenz who provided a lot of useful information, interesting facts and timely advises that helped us tremendously. We will definitely be back. Enjoyed our 7 days stay at the villa and tour of Switzerland a lot!
