It is located on the top floor (2nd floor)—accessible by elevator—in the newly built "Glowe" beach house on Rügen, in a prime location right on the Baltic Sea beach.
Enjoy the unique view of the open sea that is otherwise only available at exclusive 4-star hotels.
From the living room couch, you can look out over Glowe’s new marina and see the famous chalk cliffs of the island of Rügen, as well as Cape Arkona, Germany’s northernmost point.
You’ll spot the three world-famous towers (the lighthouse, the Schinkel Tower, and the old navigation tower), which are considered the landmarks of Cape Arkona, and watch the ship traffic on the sea lanes—including merchant and fishing fleets as well as international ferries from the Baltic Sea states.
Our “Hafenblick” vacation apartment features two balconies where you can watch the sunrise—perhaps while enjoying breakfast—or the breathtaking sunset over the sea with a glass of wine.
Right outside the front door begins the approximately 12-kilometer-long, fine-grained, and most beautiful sandy beach on the island of Rügen: the Schaabe. This is a narrow spit of land that separates the open sea from the large Jasmund Bodden. In just a few minutes’ walk, you can go from the sandy beach to the large Jasmund Bodden, a nature reserve with its diverse flora and fauna.
The shoreline along the Baltic Sea beach at Glowe/Rügen is mostly very shallow and therefore particularly suitable for small children.
Beach chairs are available for rent right outside the front door; the nudist section is just a few minutes’ walk away, and there are surfing and sailing schools nearby, as well as various ice cream parlors.
Across from the “Glowe” beach house is a small bakery, and about 100 meters further on is a grocery store.
The vacation rental includes a parking space, a bike storage room in the “Glowe” beach house, and the option to use a separate storage room there.
