The lake is beautiful. We went kayaking, swimming, played board games and went in the sauna. It was an excellent weekend.

Secluded and peaceful place to spend time at. Appreciated the clean modern house. Comfortable bed and linens. Enjoyed the use of kayaks, swimming and sauna. Close enough to neighbouring Bridgewater and Mahone Bay. Was witness to loons and otters and my daily visit from a lone hummingbird. Would recommend this to anyone seeking peace and quiet. Thanks Sid for your support and communications throughout our stay.

Spacious home on a beautiful lake! Very quiet and relaxing. GPS navigation for the given address is off by about a half mile so pay attention to the lot numbers as you drive in.

The house looked exactly like the pictures. However, there were several issues that made our stay less pleasant than expected. The check-in information was not sent a day before our arrival as previously indicated. I had to follow up a couple of times and only received the information quite late. There was also no indication in the listing or communication that reaching the house involved driving on a gravel road. Given the remote location, I think this would have been helpful to know in advance. The biggest issue for us was cleanliness. The house felt quite dusty, and the area underneath the sofa was particularly dirty. One of my kids dropped something under the sofa, and it was unpleasant to see how much dirt had accumulated there. There were also no trash bags provided in the kitchen. Given the remote location, I would have expected basic household and hygiene supplies to be available.Another unsettling experience was a machine in the storage room that started running around midnight and made various noises. We had no information about what it was or that we should expect it. Being in a fairly remote location, hearing unexplained mechanical noises in the middle of the night was uncomfortable.Overall, while the house itself looked as advertised, better cleanliness, more timely communication, and clearer information about the property and location would have made the stay significantly better.

It was a lovely location how ever the house it self had a lot of issues. The screen door next to the dining room doesnt open and close proper its very bent out of shape, only half the toaster works, lights dont work in 2 of three bedrooms, sauna entry room is completly unfinishedand and omitted from ad picturea, the corners on one of the beds were broken, 2 chairs were already broken in the laundry room and a 3rd broke under my child the first morning, the only extra fitted sheet had a stain, there was expired coffee in the cupboard and opened food left in the freezer, someone else's tubaware was in the dishwasher, The only dish soap was dawn liquid and the dishwasher barely cleaned, the dryer didnt dry our cloths and there wasnt dryer sheets, there is no oven mits to use the stove, the BBQ spatuala was sitting out side uncleaned, there is cobwebs all over and trying to lay on the couch you get to stare at a huge pile of dead bugs in the light fixture and beside you on the window sill, the showers looked like someone didnt want to bother bending to finish cleaning them. You also say your putting on the finishing touches yet all signs point that it has been there a very long time, long enough that the toilet handle has lost its paint from so much use. Lasty a security camera only for where your guest spend time on the deck is creepy. if it was there for security one would face the dock one would face the entry. You just have the deck watched.
