Located off of Scenic Route 30-A in Santa Rosa Beach.
In 2017, Cracker Jack will undergo a face lift, including brand new upgraded kitchen, guest rooms, appliances and flooring! Stay tuned for updated pictures! Our beach house will be ready to rent for Spring/Summer 2017.
Scenic 30-A is considered by many to be the Monterrey of the east. The road is a spectacular 18-mile journey of beautiful beaches, sidewalks, architecture, restaurants, fishing, kayaking, biking, walking and shopping.
What makes Cracker Jack Special?
We think it begins with a lot of attention, care and love. The owners, Jamie & Susan worked to incorporate the things you expect and don’t expect while vacationing at the beach. The walls are finished with a Ralph Lauren palette of Caribbean colors that soothe your senses; furniture is simple and comfortable; towels and bedding are provided; and “Club Cracker” in the tower is a magnet for kids (big and small). Hooks are everywhere to just hang your stuff with ease. The goal was to make you feel comfortable like home, but with a true beach experience.
Where on Scenic 30-A is Cracker Jack?
Cracker Jack is located in Old Florida Village within the city of Santa Rosa Beach (within walking distance of Gulf Place). The village is made up of 75 distinctive, architecturally rich homes with a planned Retail/Loft entrance that will be similar to the nearby Watercolor Community. The Village has two community pools. The streets are made of pavers, special pavement and stone. Green space is throughout the community. There is only one road into the neighborhood which creates a nice private feeling for adults and children.
Tell me more about the Cracker…
The natural beauty of Old Florida Village is very evident in the backyard. Hidden Lake fills up your back view and creates wonderful breezes. The morning sun rises above the lake and breakfast or morning coffee/tea on the deck seems to taste better.
The front of Cracker Jack can create a challenge! Which deck to sit on to watch the lazy day go bye? One of the pools is less than 50 yards away. A wireless Internet system works throughout the entire house. You can even surf the web at the pool.
There are three levels to enjoy at Cracker Jack. On the first level is a guest room with a balcony facing the pool and beautiful Village architecture. This room was designed with one queen bed. There is a full bathroom directly adjoining.
The (NEWLY RENNOVATED) kitchen is efficient and functional. The kitchen is outfitted with all the tools you will need - from making morning coffee/tea to a seafood feast (Across the street from OFV is a fresh seafood market). Our family loves cooking and you will find a selection of cookbooks in the kitchen for inspiration. The Florida Room has a green sectional couch that is soft and comfortable for those inside days. A television with cable is ready for clicking.
However, you will notice a well-stocked bookcase filled with the best from Grisham, Collins, etc – take one of the books off the shelf and start reading. Better yet, take the book outside to read on the deck. You are welcome to borrow/take a book but we ask that you add another book for others to enjoy.
Travel up the stairs and you will find a mini-master suite that has a queen size bed with full private bathroom and balcony. The mini-master is decorated with soothing caribbean color. The hallway is lined with hooks and Palm Tree art.
There is a washer and dryer on this level to handle all the crews needs. Walk into the Master, close the door and create your own mini-spa. The view of the lake is perfect from the Master. The chaise lounge on the deck invites you to read a book, watch the birds in the lake or take a nap on the deck & feel like you are really on vacation.
The bathroom has a full tub and separate shower. The king size bed has an extra padding to ensure a comfortable nights rest. In the morning, the sun rises beautifully over the lake.
On the second floor hallway you will notice a sign pointing upwards to Club Cracker. Club Cracker is loaded with fun for kids of all ages.
Two sets of bunk beds with large drawers below to store all the kids gear, new plasma television, bean bags for sitting or for playing your favorite game.
One wall is decorated in red with three skim boards. Views of the pool and lake… This is truly a separate environment for kids, which allows a quieter environment for adults on the first level. Remember to bring your favorite DVD’s, CD’s, X-Box or Game Cube…
Where is the Beach?
The beach is a short stroll away (takes about 5 minutes to walk). If walking is not your style, you can ride your bike or load up the car and park at the beach. There is a clean restroom located at the beach entrance along with outdoor shower, picnic tables and grills, and is complete with Lifeguards & Flag system for your added peace of mind.
Did we mention Restaurants?
One of the charming elements of 30-A is that there are no national food chains allowed. When you go to the beach you want to experience something different from your hometown. Well, you are in for a treat…Within walking distance there are a handful of different restaurants of diverse flavors and budgets and a wonderful fresh seafood market. We are here to help you plan your vacation, so please ask us about our favorite places to eat!
Entertainment and Shops!
Gulf Place is 4/10’s of a mile from Old Florida Village. From April to September there is a free concert every Sunday night. Take a walk along the beach to Gulf Place and enjoy and evening of music. Cracker Jack is also a walk away from a Nail Spa, Drug Store, Coffee Shop, Bike Rentals, Retail shops.....There is so much more. You have to come down here to enjoy and explore…

Why Santa Rosa Beach, FL, USA:
Our house is perfect for families. It is a short 5 minute walk to the beach and is located in a private and safe neighborhood with pools which is a close walk to shops, restaurants, and more. Our favorite part about walking to the beach is passing the fresh seafood market and picking up fresh steamed shrimp to enjoy on our back porch after a long day of sun and fun or back down at the beach for sunset! Cracker Jack is located on Hidden Lake Way and has viewing balconies off the back and bedrooms. It is across the street from the pool. We love biking along the beach trail, heading over to Seaside for ice cream or walking the wharf in Baytown. There is so much to love about Santa Rosa- so much to do, or not to do. This is the one place we can truly relax and live each day as it comes.....
The Unique Benefits at this House:
One of our favorite rituals is stopping at GoatFeathers seafood market (across the road) and buying fresh fish to grill or steamed shrimp to take to the beach for sunset... We have so many favorite activities we would love to share with you but probably the best is heading back to the house at the end of a fun beach day and chilling on our back deck overlooking the lake....
