Welcome to Scout's Retreat, a luxury barn-style cabin built in 2023 and tucked away on 12.67 private wooded acres in Hocking Hills.

Enjoy 3,000 sq. ft. of space with 4 bedrooms, including 2 private king suites, a game room with pool table and arcade games, a private 6-person hot tub, fire pit, high-speed fiber Wi-Fi, and modern amenities.

Relax, reconnect, and enjoy complete privacy in the woods without leaving the comforts of home behind.

THE SPACE

Thoughtfully divided across two levels to give families and groups plenty of room to spend time together while still having space to spread out and unwind.

THE MAIN LEVEL

The main level is the heart of the cabin and features an open great room with a fully equipped kitchen, dining area, comfortable living space, and convenient laundry area.

Two private king suites are located on the main level. Each suite includes its own attached full bathroom with a spacious luxury shower, providing extra privacy and comfort for couples and guests.

A half bath is also conveniently located on the main level.

THE LOWER LEVEL

The walkout lower level features two additional bedrooms: a bunk room with two sets of bunk beds and a comfortable queen bedroom. Both bedrooms share a centrally located full bathroom.

The lower level opens directly into the game room and entertainment space, with convenient walkout access to the private hot tub and fire pit areas.

GAME ROOM & ENTERTAINMENT

Rainy day, quiet evening, or a little friendly competition—we've got you covered.

Our game room is packed with entertainment for kids and adults, including a pool table, a wall-mounted bean bag toss game, arcade games, wall-mounted Connect Four, a PlayStation 3 with a selection of games, a big-screen TV, a large lounging couch, and board games for the whole family.

Blu-ray players and a selection of movies are available throughout the cabin. The lower-level bunk room also features its own air hockey table.

PRIVATE 6-PERSON HOT TUB

Step directly outside the lower-level game room and enjoy the private 6-person hot tub surrounded by the peace and quiet of the woods.

A convenient towel bar is located next to the hot tub. We take hot tub cleanliness and water quality seriously, with regular testing and careful maintenance to provide guests with a clean and relaxing experience.

HIGH-SPEED FIBER INTERNET & STREAMING

Enjoy the peace of the woods without giving up the internet speed of home.

Scout's Retreat features a direct fiber internet connection added in 2025, providing fast Wi-Fi for streaming, gaming, and staying connected during your visit.

Whether you're streaming a movie after a day of hiking, gaming downstairs, or need to check in with work, the cabin is ready to keep up.

THOUGHTFUL AMENITIES

We want your stay to be comfortable from the moment you arrive.

Guests can enjoy a self-service coffee station featuring a variety of K-Cups along with a starter supply of drip coffee.

Shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and lotion are provided for guests, along with two quality bath towels per guest.

LAUNDRY & CLOTHING CARE

A full-size washer and dryer are available inside the cabin for guest use.

A clothing steamer, iron, and ironing board are also provided for your convenience.

PROPANE GRILL

A propane grill is available for guest use and is conveniently located just outside the front entrance of the cabin.

GUEST ACCESS

Guests have full access to the entire cabin, the exterior 6-person hot tub, the exterior fire pit area, and may walk around any cleared area of the exterior property.

CABIN EXTERIOR

Scout's Retreat is located on 12.67 private wooded acres. Guests are welcome to enjoy and explore the cleared areas surrounding the cabin.

THE DRIVEWAY

The cabin is accessed by a private 1,250-foot gravel driveway that winds through the woods to the property.

Standard passenger vehicles, SUVs, and two-wheel-drive vehicles can easily navigate the driveway without issue. Due to the gravel surface, vehicles with extremely low ground clearance, such as some low-profile sports cars, are not recommended.

PARKING, RVs & BOAT TRAILERS

Scout's Retreat offers a large private parking area with space for approximately six vehicles.

While the parking area is spacious, turning around may be difficult for large RVs, oversized travel trailers, and boat trailers. Guests planning to arrive with a large RV or trailer are encouraged to contact us before booking so we can help determine whether the vehicle is a good fit for the property.
