About Roger & Anneli Beaumont
We are a family with two children and have owned our holiday home for nearly 10 years now. I am English and my wife Anneli is Swedish and we live permanently in Oxfordshire, UK.
Roger & Anneli Beaumont purchased this House in 2004
Why Roger & Anneli Beaumont chose Islantilla
We love the area which is very beautiful and relatively unspoilt. We spend two or three weeks a year at the villa and the children adore it, especially the swimming pool and tennis court!
What makes this House unique
Very safe, quiet and peaceful with stunning views yet very close to the sea and main amenities. The swimming pools/tropical gardens and roof terraces mean you do not have to go anywhere if you do not wish to. It all makes for a very relaxing summer holiday!

Wonderful holiday base
We had a wonderful time in Islantilla, using the villa as our base. We flew into Seville as the flights seemed to be a little cheaper than Faro. On arrival the house was wonderfully clean and we were greeted with some basics such as bread, milk, sugar and coffee - which was very welcome after our journey. The pools are within meters of the villa and the car park is gated. The kitchen is extremely well equipped and it's a godsend having the washing machine (particularly with little ones).
The great thing about this area is that it isn't subjected to the hoards of British and Northern European tourists. You will be expected to try your hand at Spanish, and how worth it'll be. We found the locals of the area extremely friendly, warm and accommodating.
The villa is split over 3 floors, all of which overlook the back. The top floors give great views of the pretty golf course and we admit to spending some time chuckling at the golfers fluffing shots or sneaking a cheat. We had a lovely BBQ with fish from the very friendly ladies at the local market and lots of Al-fresco dining in the little garden.
We found eating out extremely good value in this area. We took our mother in law so with 3 adults, 2 children and wine we could eat a good evening meal for £30-40. The local tapas was to die for!
Good day trips - Tavira, Olhao, Sitges, Seville (you will fall in love with this city and want to return), and Limite Zero (zip wire from Spain to Portugal), Ayamonte and Islantilla beaches are also good.
It was a fabulous holiday! I would recommend this as a great base.
My family (5 adult and 4 children) had a wonderful week of holidays in Islantilla. The house was spacious enough, was properly clean, well-maintainded and full equiped. The renting process was rapid and and a easy one. I had no problems at all. I strongly recommend this property for a beach holidays.
Adorámos. Casa espaçosa, ótimos espaços exteriores.
A limpeza deveria ser mais cuidada e faz muita falta o ar condicionado.
We had a great stay, I highly recommend. The cleaning was not great but after talking to the owner and cleaner, I believe it will improve. Good swimming pool, padel court. 15 min walking to the beach. Supermarket close by. Because our checkin was late, Roger sent me some weeks in advance the key with instrutions. I thought it was weird, but all was good! There are beds for 8/9 guests, and then there is a matress on the floor and sofas. Will try to return.
Enjoyed nice family holiday near the beach
We've spent our family holiday with 6 adults and 2 kids in that beautiful house end of August - beginning of September.
We loved how the house was very well equipped - especially the kitchen. Other than in other rentals we have been, we didn't miss a single thing :-)
The beds were very comfortable, even my mom who has serious back issues could really enjoy good nights of sleep. Big plus!
Although the double bed on the highest floor were quite short. Fortunately my husband and I are not very tall (max. 1,73m), so we were ok. But I guess for taller guests that might be a problem.
We really enjoyed the two terraces and the fact that there were enough bathrooms for us all. Also there is private parking near the front door.
Especially the kids made frequent use of the bigger pool (the upper one you see on the picture is only for very little ones), and it was nice and clean and very closeby.
Just a short note on the pools: The pools that are on picture 1 are the ones that belong to that urbanisation. The very big pool seen on picture 17-19 must be the mentioned Spa Hotel where you can buy access to. If you only see the pictures that could be misleading.
The beach is a 10-15 min walk away. Most of the route there is no official pedestrian street and is up/downhill, but we managed well without being too exhausted. We just tried to reduce our beach equipment a bit ;-) But there are also many of parking spaces near the beach. So sometimes, on a lazy day, we just took the car. We didn't stay the whole day, only a few hours, so parking prices were reasonable.
To conclude: we were very happy with our stay in the house and we would love to return soon!!
The property is situated in the beach and golf resort of Playa Islantilla which is in the central area of the stunning Costa de la Luz coastline running between the Portuguese border town of Ayamonte and the main city of the region Huelva to the east. The area is famed for its long sandy beaches fringed with sand dunes and pine forests and there are numerous national parks of this type in the area. Within a few minutes drive of the property is the main Islantilla beach resort and commercial plaza containing over 20 different types of restaurants where you can sit in comfort with direct views over the sea. The region is famed for its fresh fish and seafood. It is also full of championship golf courses. It is also relatively unspoilt and some Spanish is still needed even in cafes!
Golf: The region is famed for its many golf courses and there are in fact - in addition to the 27 hole championship standard Islantilla golf course onto which our property overlooks- another 5 comparable courses within half hour's drive. Those being Nuevo Portil, El Rompido, Isla Canela, Bellavista and Castro Marim (Portuguese Algarve).
Not much further and certainly no more than an hour's drive are some of the best golf courses in the region, including Quinta da Cima and Quinta da Ria in Portugal and the Real Club de Golf Seville - apparently one of the best and most challenging in Spain designed by Jose Maria Olazabal!
