Betty’s Creek Cabin offers 2 acres bordering the Chattahoochee and Nantahala National Forests. Made almost entirely of logs, the cabin was built with mountain relaxation in mind.
Because the owners also operate Beechwood Inn Bed and Breakfast in Clayton, Betty's Creek Cabin complies with all Georgia health and safety codes applicable to rental properties (which many vacation rentals do not). The owners also collect and pay all applicable taxes.

From the 2 large porches you may watch deer graze and the occasional bear may stop by to see what you're up to. Watch swarms of humming birds enjoy nectar from the feeders just inches away from you on the porch. Hawks regularly nest nearby. You'll definitely want to bring your camera.

At the end of Betty's Creek road a marked trail leads west to join the scenic Appalachian Trail at Betty's Creek Gap (about 1 1/2 hour hike). There is an abundance of wild flowers in this Appalachian Rain-forest from early spring until November; flowering trees, flame azaleas, mountain laurel, rhododendron, the many varieties of ferns, the clear tumbling streams; all add delight to your visit in all seasons. If you plan on day hiking, don't forget a raincoat or parka.
Wild turkeys come to the creek daily to drink. Other wildlife using our property and the adjoining wilderness include: bear, white-tailed deer, raccoon, skunk, fox, squirrels, eagles, grouse and an array of songbirds.
When you come to Betty's Creek Log Cabin, be prepared to relax, rock in our high-backed porch rockers, smell the clean mountain air, or walk to Betty's Creek and sit on huge rocks beside the creek and let your cares drift away. Perhaps you'd enjoy fly-fishing for rainbow trout at nearby Andy's Trout Farm; it's just up the creek and you don't even need a license. (You need to try grilled fresh rainbow trout; a real mountain treat.) or spend the afternoon walking the marked and maintained mountain trails through the wilderness area or along the creek.
Be sure to bring a sweater or light jacket even in the summer, since the evening temperature often drops below 55 degrees. The valley and creek are bathed with a very cool evening breeze coming down from the 5000 foot high surrounding mountain peaks.
