Tempio Pausania is a small town located in the historical region of Gallura, in the north of Sardinia. It is known for its granite architecture, characteristic of the area, and for its charming historic centre with cobbled streets and ancient stone buildings. Tempio is surrounded by mountainous landscapes and lush forests, with Mount Limbara as a natural backdrop. The town is also renowned for the Tempio Carnival, one of the island's oldest and liveliest celebrations, and for its wine-growing tradition, especially in the production of Vermentino. The locality of San Pasquale has grocery shops, bars and newsagents. The nearest restaurants are in Porto Pozzo, a 7-minute drive (4.8 km) away, where there are bars and a pharmacy. The beautiful beach of Porto Liscia is only 6.7 km away and there is convenient free parking.
