No air, no view, unannounced visits from owner.
The apartment is large and close to the beach. However, the A/C did not work, and it took the owners about half our visit to get it repaired. Since this occurred during an intense heat wave, the owner’s failure to fix the A/C problem in a timely manner essentially ruined our vacation. In addition, there are several other problems with this apartment: (1) The photos of the beach view in the listing are misleading. They were taken from the roof of the house. In reality there is absolutely no beach view. Unfortunately, there is only parking lot view from the balcony. (2) The owner took the liberty to enter the unit unannounced and without coordinating several times during our stay. He always had a good excuse. However, in the world of vacation rentals this is an absolute no-no, which could have caused quite an embarrassment for us and for him. (3) The shower was clogged, causing repeated major floods. (4) In the listing the owner states that he speaks English. This is not correct.
