We have a 50 inch flat screen TV in the living area.
There's a nice round oak table with 4 chairs and a full sized sofa sleeper (if you have more than 4 people in your party). Awesome concrete stain floors, easy to clean, in case you bring some sand in with you.
The bathroom is a good-sized and is loaded with bath and beach towels.
Access to washer and dryer in back house if needed. Keyless entry. Guests will have wireless internet. Boogie boards and snorkels are around to borrow. I teach tennis and you are welcome to borrow tennis rackets and balls as well.
Our street is 1/2 way between the beach and the mountains. About 400 yards from Hukilau Beach and on the way to many hiking trails such as Laie Falls. The Polynesian Cultural Center is close as well as BYU Hawaii and the LDS Laie Hawaii Temple.
The Bus is on Kamehameha Hwy right in front of Hukilau Beach. Walking distance to the beach and Laie Shopping Center.
I came to Hawaii to go to school and play tennis for BYU Hawaii. I got married and had 6 kids and we just finished a new house. We put a 2 bedroom apartment on the side of it to be able to pay our huge Hawaii mortgage.
Martha purchased this apartment in 2014
We bought this property because the lot was big and we wanted to build a house. After 3 years of hard work, we finally did it!!
It's on a park and between the mountains and the beach. My husband and I work at BYU Hawaii and it's 3/4 a mile away. We love Laie and this area.
This place was fantastic! It was a brand new 2 bedroom, and right in the heart of Laie. The family was so helpful and welcoming. The rental is on the main level of a family home, and it was as nice, if not nicer, than a hotel stay. They had everything we needed in a home away from home, laundry included (a huge perk to the constant beach goer!). Also- if you've never stayed on the east/north shore, this place is perfect, its a perfect distance to every exciting and beautiful thing to do on the north shore, while being close to the grocery store, as well as places to eat. We now consider this family to be our friends, and will most definitely be renting this place out again the next time we come to the island!
The house is conveniently located in a friendly neighborhood close to beaches, cultural centers, grocery stores, restaurants, and golf courses. The host is kind and helpful. The rooms are clean and well-equipped. We are glad that we have chosen it here.
This one level bungalow was perfect for my family's short stay during my daughter's graduation from BYUH. The only thing I would recommend to the owner would be to add bright numbers, or illumination, to make it easier to find the property after dark. The property next door also has a trampoline, it took us a while.
Great place to stay. It was so very close, walking distance to beach, park, temple, PCC, Byu Hawaii.
Plenty of hiking trials close by (if you know a local.)
So many good things to say about the bungalow. We liked the on site parking, AC, no stairs and plenty of swim equipment.
If you stay please take the time to drive down the road and buy the BEST Mango O'Tai you will ever have in your life.
Also, super close to a grocery store, McDonald's and really really really good food trucks.
Thanks Martha! For sharing your island with us.
This was our 1st time using VRBO and we will definitely do it again. The property was clean, had lots of extras and was in a great location. We met Martha and she was awesome and more than willing to answer all my questions about her trees! Highly Recommend!
The property is very closed to the culture center, the valley, the ranch, and the shore. Although it is not in a prime neighborhood, the location is very convenient. The apartment has all necessary stuff, except that the kitchen is a little under-equipped. But that is fine since we don't cook a lot. The owner is nice and helpful. The A/C in the living room is definitely a plus!
