Overview

About the property

New 5 Bed/3 Bath Lodge With Awesome Lakefront Deck & Dock

The Lakeshore Lodge is a stunning, 5-bedroom retreat on the shores of beautiful Lake Pend O'Reille. Located at the end of a tranquil, traffic-free lane, Lakeshore Lodge offers blissful seclusion yet is only 3 minutes from the Dover Bay community and 7 minutes from Sandpoint, Idaho - voted America's 'Most Beautiful Small Town' by USA Today and Rand McNally.

Lakeshore Lodge is all North Idaho - big beams, big trees, big views - but step inside and you'll discover a retreat that is more chic than rustic: the wood and stainless steel kitchen; the ridiculously comfortable leather sofa set; the elegant tiled bathrooms; the spacious bedrooms (all but one facing the lake); the ample second-floor deck; the jacuzzi etc.

Just a few steps from the front door brings you to our private deck and L-shaped dock. You'll enjoy this special spot all year round: swimming, boating, paddling or just admiring the glorious views across the lake with a glass of wine in hand.

The expansive backyard is big enough for a family soccer match and includes a large jungle gym for the little ones. The back deck is perfect for barbecuing and has a large jacuzzi for relaxing tired muscles after a long day skiing at Schweitzer or hiking the area's numerous trails.

The Lakeshore Lodge has five bedrooms: two on the ground floor and three (including the master) on the second floor. The standard bed set up is three queens, one twin and a double set of bunk beds (big enough for adults.) We've also got a high-quality queen blow-up bed for bigger groups. Two big families? Three couples? No problem.

It has three bathrooms: one downstairs (2 sinks, 1 shower, 1 toilet) and two upstairs (master en suite with 2 sinks + shared bathroom for the other two bedrooms.)

Other appliances / amenities of note: LCD TV with cable, DVD player, wine fridge (I can stock with bottles from my collection if you're interested), gas fireplace with hearth.

Another plus: my property manager is your next door neighbor, and my relatives are all over town. There will always be somebody who can help if you have any issues or need local guidance on where to go and what to see!

About Owner / Property Manager

Daddy Brixen grew up in Sandpoint and always dreamed of having a place on the lake. Mommy Brixen was born in Bangkok, moved to the USA with her family and later met Daddy at a Mexican restaurant in Hong Kong. Now Daddy and Mommy have got four boys (Tai, Logan, Drake & Kiva) who absolutely love the Lakeshore Lodge.

Owner / Property Manager purchased this lodge in 2012

Why Owner / Property Manager chose Sandpoint

The first time you walk out on that dock, you'll understand. It is very, very difficult to find such a private, quiet spot on the lake that is located so close to town. I know, because I spent the first half of my life exploring Lake Pend O'Reille and the mountains surrounding it.

What makes this lodge unique

The Lakeshore Lodge will be my legacy to my four sons and their families. And I hope it can become a part of your treasured family memories as well.

A Little Piece of Heaven

  • 5 of 5

We have stayed in this wonderful home before. It is absolutely beautiful - well maintained - peaceful - and a breath-taking view of the lake/river. We thoroughly enjoy every time we stay there. I would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a play to enjoy peace, calm, beauty, and a little time away from the rush of everyday life.

There is every activity there you would want - water skiing, biking, just going out near or on the lake, great restaurants and QUIET!

I can't say enough good about this location!!

Thanks

Paul Woodland

Peaceful, beautiful, close to Sandpoint, a gem!!

  • 5 of 5

We had a great eight night stay! We did a lot of cooking and the kitchen was perfect and stocked just right. Wine fridge was key! We had little ones ages 4-8 that loved swimming at the dock then running back to the hot tub. The bunk room was perfect for them and the back yard has plenty of space for them to run around but be contained. The setting is quite but not too and the proximity to downtown Sandpoint was ideal for shopping and the like. Thanks for a great stay Scott, Bridgett and John!

Beautiful house with excellent lake front area

  • 5 of 5

The house exceeded our expectations! It was large enough to fit our multi family group and was very well outfitted. This seems like a small thing but I particularly enjoyed the fact that the kitchen knives were razor sharp and of good quality. We had some hesitation in renting the property given that it said the lake access was across a street and the property manager lived next door. Both concerns were allayed when we arrived, the property manager was not all over us, on the contrary she was pleasant but only reached out when needed. As far as being across the street from the lake access, technically this is true but what we found was the "street" was a very tiny dead end road that no one drove on so cars were never an issue. The dock was fantastic, the water very warm, the yard enormous, the interior beautiful and the sitting areas were abundant and had plenty of comfortable seating. We had nothing negative to say it was a completely positive experience and we plan to come back! Also the owner sent us a beautiful bouquet of flowers mid way through our stay, such a thoughtful gesture!

Owner's Response: Thanks so much for your kind review! Out of honesty, I wanted everybody to know that Lakeshore Lodge is not, technically, true waterfront. But as you experienced, the reality is that the little road has no impact on your enjoyment of the lake, deck and dock. So happy that your family was able to enjoy LL to the fullest. I would love to host your family again. Scott Owner, Lakeshore Lodge

Great time at the lake and BEAUTIFUL home

  • 5 of 5

Brief summary: 13 people, 6 days

Pros: House is beautiful, well-maintained, good comfortable mattresses, new appliances/amenities, the hot tub is great, VERY attentive manager lives close by and was EXCELLENT! The backyard was huge and the dead-end cul-de-sac makes for perfect bike riding and baseball throwing and just hanging out with kids and adults alike. Couldn't have had a better stay.

Cons: It was only a short stay.

You won't regret it if you choose this home and the lake setting is perfect, the dock was great and easy access to the lake. Renting a boat would be a great idea too if you like water sports, the lake isn't too cold and the side you're on isn't very busy.

Owner's Response: Thanks so much for your kind review. It honestly makes me feel so happy to know that you and your family loved staying at Lakeshore Lodge. Having grown up around the lake, I know how special that "Old Dover" area is. And you're absolutely right about Bridgett - how lucky am I to have my property manager live next door?! Sincerely, Scott Brixen Owner

Awesome property

  • 5 of 5

This property is clean, quite, beautiful view, well equipped and very good access to many places around region. Would stay again and recommend to all to stay with your family or just your spouse. A suggestion would be for

privacy shades downstairs (especially for night time). Had a great time.

Thank you
