Vacation in Eckelhausen on Lake Bostal – Nature, Relaxation & Adventure
Eckelhausen, an idyllic district of Nohfelden, is located right next to the popular Lake Bostal and is the perfect starting point for a relaxing yet active vacation in the Saarland. Surrounded by rolling hills, forests, and vast natural landscapes, you can enjoy peace and quiet, fresh air, and a relaxed atmosphere here—far away from mass tourism.
Lake Bostal, one of the largest recreational lakes in southwestern Germany, offers numerous leisure activities: swimming, sailing, surfing, stand-up paddleboarding, or simply relaxing walks along the lakeside promenade. Modern beach areas, cafés, and restaurants invite you to linger. For families, there are playgrounds, mini-golf, and a variety of recreational activities.
Active vacationers will also find plenty to enjoy: A well-developed network of biking and hiking trails leads through the Saar-Hunsrück Nature Park, past beautiful viewpoints and regional attractions. Nordic walking, jogging, and mountain biking are also possible right on your doorstep.
Thanks to its central location, the area is perfect for day trips—for example, to Nohfelden Castle, the St. Wendel region, or Trier. At the same time, Eckelhausen offers the soothing tranquility of a small town, ideal for unwinding and enjoying yourself.
Whether you’re looking for an active vacation, family time, or relaxing days in nature—Eckelhausen on Lake Bostal is the ideal place for your getaway.
