About this property
Gîte Le Nain Rouge – 18th-Century Alsatian House in Kaysersberg
Welcome to Gîte Le Nain Rouge, located on the ground floor of an authentic 18th-century Alsatian house, listed as a historical monument. Just steps from the heart of Kaysersberg—ranked among the Most Beautiful Villages of France—you are perfectly situated to explore the Alsace Wine Route, visit local vineyards, and soak in the medieval charm of the region.
The spacious, carefully arranged accommodation hosts up to 4 guests in a warm, typically Alsatian setting. Everything you need for a comfortable and relaxing stay is provided.
A private parking space is reserved for you in the courtyard, accessible via the gate. Parking requires a bit of maneuvering at the back of the courtyard—not always easy, but entirely manageable for a skilled driver. This way, you avoid paid parking and park right next to the gîte. Bicycles or two motorcycles can also be safely stored there.
Enjoy a peaceful terrace by the water, perfect for relaxing after a day of exploration.
Each of the two separate bedrooms includes:
- Bedroom 1, facing the lane: one 160 cm bed
- Bedroom 2, facing the courtyard: two 90 cm beds (can be joined)
Bed linen is provided. Towels are not provided.
Pets are welcome (maximum size: medium Australian Shepherd). You must take them with you whenever you leave the gîte. On the terrace and in the courtyard, leashes are required, as the house cat often passes through.
Kaysersberg is 10 minutes from Colmar and 1 hour from Strasbourg.
Note: Communication with the host is exclusively in French (English possible but limited). Non-French-speaking guests should consider this before booking.
- Pet allowed payment 10,00 € per pet per night
Our prices include all fees. No hidden fees.
