Also available for rent are our adjacent Studio Beach Cottage (VRBO listing #393286) and our Octopus Hole Beach Cabin (VRBO listing #163757), located on the far side of the studio. All 3 cabins are located right next to each other, right on the beach. This cabin has its own hot tub and sauna and listing #163757 has its own hot tub.
Rent two or all three cabins for a large group. They are ideal for family reunions…plenty of room to celebrate together while each family also has their own space.
The interior has retained its charm with restored original combed cedar paneling and vaulted ceiling, fir floors and claw foot tub.
Amenities include sauna, hot tub, wood stove, flat-screen, DirecTV, DVD/BluRay, fully-appointed kitchen with vintage Wolf range including side griddle and commercial size oven, linens, bedding, gas BBQ with side burner, washer/dryer, outside shared fire pit, deck furniture and dinghy.
Property is on a cove with 315' of no bank beach frontage (we own the tidelands). The location is friendly and private. The cove makes it very easy to launch kayaks so be sure to bring them. Or, you can rent kayaks (and kayak crab pots) from Kayak Brinnon ... they will deliver and pick up for just a small fee.
A boat launch is less than 10 minutes away and a sheltered mooring buoy is available right in front of the cabin. Trailer parking is also available.

I am a Pacific Northwest Native who enjoys fishing, hiking, camping, and generally everything the Olympic Peninsula has to offer. I have owned the Hood Canal cabins since 2001 and hope you love the cabins and Hood Canal as much as I do!
Suzanne purchased this Cabin in 2001
Why Suzanne chose Hoodsport
The West side of Hood Canal offers both salt-water fun and hiking opportunities in the Olympic Peninsula. We can scuba dive, snowshoe, hike the Staircase, fish, and mountain climb, all within minutes of the cabin. Very few places in the world offer such diversity. Oh, and did I mention the oysters right outside the front door?
What makes this Cabin unique
It's very relaxing. Not just the view of the water , fun on the beach, a soak in the hot tub or storm-watching in the winter, the cabins are warm and inviting. We're less than 2 hours from Seattle, but you really feel like you've gotten away from it all.

The Big Grey Cabin is lovely. The setting is picturesque and the cabin had everything we needed for a great weekend on the Hood Canal. And to top it off, Suzanne is a gracious host. Would love to return!
Great cabin on Hood Canal
Wonderful waterfront cabin! We enjoyed the oysters and the hot tub and sauna were great after a day of hiking. Beautiful cabin and surroundings!
View Cabin Getaway
This cabin is stocked with anything you may need to cook, adventure or relax. Beautiful views, sauna is a true bonus! Close enough to Hoodsport downtown area.
The house comes fully equipped with everything you could need. Was a great experience!
Peaceful & Relaxing
This was our fifth or sixth visit to your house and - once again - we left relaxed and refreshed. The hot tub and sauna are great features, the quiet waterfront provides a peaceful environment and every time we visit it seems additional improvements have been made. Suzanne is a pleasure to deal with and is very responsive. Our only suggestions would be to update the living room furniture....and that's a nit. I would recommend this escape to anyone.
This was a return visit, and it looks like this might be an annual pilgrimage. Really perfect any time of the year--we've stayed when the weather was gorgeous and took advantage of the lovely beach (lots of oysters!), and when it was rainy and cold and relaxed with a book by the wood burning stove. And no matter the weather, the secluded hot tub is always inviting. Large windows throughout the cabin with gorgeous views of the canal, nearby Hama Hama Saloon has incredible food, and a great kitchen for those that like to cook (old school Wolf range is fantastic). Perfectly clean, just an ideal spot for a relaxing weekend. I honestly cannot say enough good things about this cabin; you will not be disappointed.
