WISH I COULD'VE STAYED THE WHOLE TIME!

  • 5 of 5

THE CABIN WAS EVERYTHING ANYONE COULD'VE EVER WANTED. UNFORTUNATELY I COULD ONLY STAY ONE NIGHT INSTEAD OF 4 NIGHTS I PAID FOR BECAUSE WE HAD A FAMILY CRISIS.

Better than expected

  • 5 of 5

Very relaxing, scenic cottage. Even better than pictured. Clean, new kitchen and bath. Sitting on the lakefront for the afternoon watching the sunset was amazing. Staff was friendly and helpful.

great setting!

  • 4 of 5

A basic cottage, which was what we expected given the low cost. Clean and well-maintained.

The best part far and away was the view of Green Bay....waves literally only 30 feet away. We spend our evenings sitting in the chairs by the fire pit, looking at the sunsets. Planning to stay again.

Great, cozy cottage

  • 5 of 5

We truly enjoyed our stay at the Starboard Cottage! The location was wonderful-during our daughter's nap time, my husband and I could spend time in the warm waters of the bay (though it did take some driving each day to get to our activities since we were further south on the peninsula). There was enough shoreline that we could put in our kayak, which was awesome! The views at sunset were amazing. Felt great to end each night with a fire right on the water, watching the sun set and moon come up! It was breezy most days we were there so lots of waves to watch, and that also limited the bugs! The beach/water was rocked at first, but out by the pier it turned to sand and was shallower. Lots of seaweed right along the sore washed in (again, the breeze/waves) but once you got out a bit, it was fine.

The cottage is small but all that we needed. Two bedrooms, each with a window AC unit, which was nice, and a full size bed. The dining table inside is small, but we ate outside pretty much for every meal, so that wasn't an issue.

Easy check in. Grill was ready to use. Plenty of outdoor seating options. Pretty quiet setting. We had very limited cell reception-maybe just our carrier. BUT, that actually was really nice-we were truly disconnected! Overall, we would definitely go back!

One Year Anniversary!

  • 4 of 5

We had a great time for our anniversary with the fireplace, lapping waves, and fresh air. The cabin was cozy, had plenty of room, and the amenities you need. We would definitely go again. It was a wonderful space.

This cottage was perfect for our week stay in Door County. It was small but whose really spending time inside when you visit, not me!! The beds were comfy, the kitchen was stocked enough to fix a meal, and there were plenty of great smelling towels in the bathroom!! The view was spectacular everyday. We were home with a fire built, a cocktail in hand every evening to watch the GOURGEOUS sunsets!!

We chose to stay here because of its location. We wanted to cruise all of Door County, take a ferry to Washington Island, and ride down to Milwaukee (2 1/2 hrs ) and Green Bay ( 1hr) It was perfect for that.

There is a lot to and see and do! One must get a fresh baked cherry pie, do some wine tastings, and eat some (or a lot of) cheese curds!! The best curds were at Shipwrecked in Egg Harbor! There are plenty of shops and art all over. Don't forget to check out the goats on the roof in Sister Bay!! If you have never taken a ferry, DO IT! It goes from Gills Rock to Washington Island. The trip is about 20 minutes and the island is beautiful!! Have lunch at Karley's when you arrive!

There is so much to do and see, a week wasn't enough! However after a day doing what you want, come back to this cottage, build a fire, grab a beverage of choice and watch the most beautiful sunsets ever!!

IT WAS A GREAT TIME!! THANKS
