About the property

4 Bedroom With Game Room, Fenced / Gated 1 Acre Yard, Pet Friendly

This 3,200 square foot Sunriver vacation home sits on an acre of land just three miles from Sunriver Resort in Oregon's high desert.

From here, you can be at Mt. Bachelor for a day of skiing or snowboarding in about 18 minutes, and just three blocks away, you'll also have access to a private boat ramp on the Deschutes River. There are also over eight freshwater lakes within 30 minutes of driving which offer great fishing, swimming, paddle boarding and sailing.

The house is on a huge lot that is fenced in, so don’t leave your dog at home, bring him/her and allow them to enjoy the acre of open area. If you would like to bring a separate RV or boat…no problem! We don’t have any parking limitations in our area as long as you are on our property. The acre of yard also allows space for your toys, your pets and your little ones to play and be safe.

This home has recently been renovated and completely redecorated. Take advantage of Persian rugs throughout the home, a game room with bar, entertainment center, gaming center, a separate TV Room and four bedrooms.

On the main level, you will find a cozy living room, dining room, 3 bedrooms, game room and a full kitchen. Relax near the fire on the leather couch while the kids play in the game room or the TV room upstairs…ah yes…room to enjoy an adult conversation! We are parents and designed this home so it is kid and adult friendly. We focused our emphasis on having fun…which is why we added the game room. It is fully equipped with a poker table, foosball table, air hockey, a 56-inch flat screen TV with a Wii and Xbox, and Netflix. We also added a TV room which is upstairs.

For formal meals, a large wooden table seats up to six, with more spots available nearby at the breakfast bar. When you do want to prepare a meal, the large, gourmet kitchen is sure to inspire the chef in your group. There are stainless steel appliances, a beautiful tile floor, ample counter space and extras like a coffee grinder, slow cooker, blender, and mixer, so you can let your culinary aspirations take over!

Upstairs you will find the TV Room with a 46 inch TV and a large bedroom that has its own deck. The TV room also has a pull out couch and a futon, so it can be used as a bedroom if you prefer.

At night, the four bedrooms provide a comfortable spot for up to 13 guests (with a maximum occupancy of 14). There's a king bed, three queens, three twin beds, a double bed,a futon, and a sofa bed. The bedrooms all feature designer wall colors, comfortable bedding, and lovely accessories. The kids' room even has stuffed animals, toys, and games! There are also two full bathrooms here, one with a relaxing jetted tub. Other amenities include a stereo, CD player, and a washer and dryer - so you don't have to worry about staying clean while out exploring.

This Central Oregon vacation rental is close to a number of activities - boating on the Deschutes River, a day spent hiking or biking along the Deschutes National Forest trail, or you can borrow the two adult and three kids bikes and ride around the neighborhood.

In winter, spend the day skiing and snowboarding at Mt. Bachelor, or enjoy cross county skiing or snow shoeing at the nearby snow park fifteen minute away.

Year-round, Bend is an easy day trip at just 20 miles away. Spend the day brewery hopping, browsing galleries, or shopping at the Old Mill District. For the more adventurous, make the drive an hour southeast for a day exploring the beautiful desert landscape at Fort Rock State Natural Area.

No matter how you spend your time at this Sunriver vacation rental, one thing is sure - you'll never run out of things to do! From its elegant design, great entertainment amenities, and ideal high desert location, home is an ideal home base for a memorable central Oregon group getaway!

(Please note that this property is not in Sunriver Resort and does not have access to any Sunriver amenities.)

About Chris Palle

We are a very activity orientated family that enjoys skiing, surfing, fishing, hiking, snorkeling, biking, tennis, running in our area. We are from the Northwest and moved to Sunriver in 2011.

Chris Palle purchased this house in 2011

Why Chris Palle chose Central Oregon

This house had the location we wanted. We have a rule in our family that we have to live within 20 minutes of a ski hill. That is hard to find in Sunriver and Bend, but we did it! We also wanted to be close to the national forest and the river. We are avid fishermen and enjoy the Fall river which is 20 minutes away along with Sunriver Resort and the Cascade Lakes. Finally, the large yard and 6 foot fence allow our young children to play outside and our chocolate lab to enjoy the sun.

What makes this house unique

We loved the idea of having three main living areas, the living room, the game room and TV room. That way everyone has enough room to do what they would like. Our families lived far away and so we wanted to have enough space so that we could all spend time together and not feel cooped up in a small home.

Guestbook comments from the owner

Amazing house/Awesome setting!

  • 5 of 5

This was a great vacation from moment one! Chris was a super host, had everything set up and ready, including SNOW!!! The home is beautifully decorated. Very up to date. Room for everyone to relax or play. The hot tub was the best after a day out skiing. Good set up in the kitchen with plenty of seats and dish ware. Comfy beds too. We had family from England here for the holidays and they were in awe! We will be back.

Great place to spread out!

  • 4 of 5

This house was really nice for our recent family reunion. We enjoyed the huge front fenced yard with lots of room for kids to run. Loved the big fire pit and want one like that for my yard at home. Loved the big table on the front deck - ate all our meals outside. Inside, the home was well furnished, beds comfortable. Kitchen, well stocked to cook and prepare food. The upstairs floors were dusty - this being the only issue I saw that could improve. Would give it a 9 of 10!!

Great gathering space

  • 4 of 5

Pros: lots of space, very kid friendly, great owners, quiet neighborhood just outside touristy Sun River, So great access to the activities but able to get away. good supply of necessities in kitchen. Spent most of our time on front porch and around firepit in the cool evenings.

Cons: hot tub loud and right outside master bedroom. We didn't use it but listened to it hum, which eventually became show noise but couldn't sleep with slider open. No AC, but unless it's really hot out not an issue. House stayed cool for us by opening Windows at night and running coming fans Day time temps were mid 80s. Minor issue that garbage should have been picked up day before our arrival but wasn't so was 3/4 full, but luckily we didn't crate too much and it all just fit but was very full so not sure what next renters experienced as we were out 3 days before next pick up day.

Owner's Response: Hi Sharon, I took the items that your group left behind to the post office in Bend and sent them off for you today. Thanks for your comments about our home. I agree that it is a great place for famalies to gather. Im sorry to hear about the cons you have listed. I would like to address them here if possible. Garbage pick up is on Wednesday mornings so when your group arrived the garbage can was 3/4 full but the remaining 3 overflow garbage cans in the garage were empty for your use when your group arrived. The overflow garbage cans in the garage are emptied before each groups arrival and does not depend on the regular Wednesday garbage pick up schedule. We do offer in the welcome letter how to maintain cool temperatures inside the home during the summertime days. Central Oregon nights generally cool down to about 38 - 45 degrees. Open up the windows at night and let that fresh cool air in then close them in the morning. This traps the cool air in and keeps the home temperatures cool during the day. Opening the windows and either blowing outside air in or pulling inside air out will warm up the house during the daytime. Thanks for joining us.

Wonderful stay in Sun River

  • 5 of 5

Thank you for letting us enjoy your home. There were more than enough beds for our group and plenty of separation of space when needed. The kitchen was very well stocked with pots, pans and whatever we needed to cook with. The new outside barbeque was perfect us cooking our dinner every night. The fire pit was enjoyed by all and was a wonderful place to relax after days filled with hiking and exploring. The card table was a big hit. This home was a very comfortable place to stay and centrally located to the things we wanted to do. I would recommend this rental to a large family or several couples wanting to get away and enjoy the Sun RiverBend area.
