Very relaxing getaway

  • 5 of 5

We were looking for a quiet retreat and found it! Deck is very relaxing with a nice view of the surroundings. The stars are magnificent to watch from the deck...great for telescopes, or just plain gazing. Very comfortable and clean, centrally located but well off the main road. Nice option for 1-4 people. Very good restaurants and other amenities within 10-20 min. The firepit and picnic table were very nice, too.

Beyond Impressed! We will return to this property

  • 5 of 5

My nephew and I stayed for a week, but we wish we could have stayed longer. The property was a perfect, secluded base camp for our annual fly fishing trip. It had everything we needed; all the comforts of home in a peaceful mountain setting.

Great location for hiking!

  • 5 of 5

The house was in a great location for all the activities in the area. It was close to the trailheads for Whiteface and other peaks, and was also close to Lake Placid. The house was clean and comfortable and included all the amenities needed. It was very nice to be able to bring our dog along for the trip. The owners of the house were very easy to work with. We had a wonderful stay!

Great location. Great house

  • 5 of 5

we stayed here for the location as it was very close to Whiteface mountain. The house was a bonus. Everything we needed was there. Very quiet area, there were other houses around but you would not know this.

There are places nearby in Wilmington and Lake Placid to buy food. The ski resort is about 10 mins drive away depending on the road conditions.

I would stay here again if we ever travel back to Whiteface.
