About Barrie

Pictured is my boy with a 'catch.'

I am a busy mom of a teenage boy and teenage triplet girls. My husband is a business owner in the next resort town over, South Haven. Since we are such a large family and are too large for one hotel room, I discoverd the comfort of staying in vacation homes. I maintain my own properties, with the help of my kids in the suummer, and make sure they are clean and well kept.

Barrie purchased this house in 2000

Why Barrie chose West Central

Saugatuck is such a beautiful area with Lake Michigan and this home sits on Lake Goshorn.

What makes this house unique

The beautiful views and the warm water of the lake! My kids actually enjoy swimming in Lake Goshorn more than Lake Michigan because Lake Goshorn is so warm in July and August. We have a firepit outdoors, a paddle boat, kayak and canoe. There is a bike trail into downtown Saugatuck is just down the road - so bring your bikes!

Guestbook comments from the owner

We had a wonderful weekend. Loved your beautiful home. It worked great for our big group. We were very blessed to have sunny, color-filled days. We hope to return next fall. Thank you!

We will be returning, book us next year!

What a wonderful vacation home! My entire family enjoyed the home, the lake and the lovely town of Saugatuck. It was like a vacation in a bottle. The home is well maintained and beautiful. We can't describe how comfortable the wonderful owners have made it. The kitchen was perfect for our large family. We enjoy cooking together and there was more than enough space. We loved the open floor plan, it allowed us to all spend more time together. We recommend adding the paddle boat to your stay, the lake is too beautiful to miss. Book us for next year!

What a wonderful weekend!

  • 5 of 5

What a wonderful weekend we had on Lake Goshorn. Barrie was wonderful to work with, helping us to get into the house earlier than planned. The house was great, everything from the large kitchen table to the boats to the pool table to the fire pit exceeded our expectations. The house was very clean and the setup worked well for all six adults and four children. We had a blast and hope to go back next year

The Best Labor Day Vacation Ever

  • 5 of 5

Outstanding! Everything from the well appointed home to the lake. All the extras, firepit, kayak, swim raft, dock, paddle boat. Clean and better than we expected! Easy check in and checkout. The weekend flew by and the kids are still talking about this vacation. Best lake to paddleboard (we brought those from home). We are checking our calendars and plan to come an entire week this coming summer. Oval beach was a quick 5 minutes away and I have to say Saugatuck has the best beach we have ever been too! Everything about this home says quality!!! The enclosed porch over looks the lake! Barrie was a joy to work with and very hospitable. Couldn't have had a better vacation!

Great Home For Family Vacation-Beautiful Lake -Great Location

  • 5 of 5

What a fun, relaxing time our family had in this wonderful vacation home! Having the beautiful lake right outside was great. The kids loved jumping right off the dock and swimming out to the swim raft.Having the canoe, kayak and paddle boat right there was an added bonus. The guys enjoyed the fishing and even the little ones caught fish.A joy to watch their excitement.

The house had plenty of room for our family of 14.Great kitchen, comfy couch and a large sunroom for relaxing with a book or taking a nap.Plenty of toys, games and books for the kids and the adults enjoyed the pool table.

Staying here we were close to everything. Beautiful Oval Beach and Saugatuck Dunes Beach were just minutes away as well as downtown Saugatuck with it's numerous shops and restaurants. With the bike trail the kids could walk or ride their bikes into town.

The owner is so nice and had helpful suggestions.Hope to stay in this home again and would certainly recommend vacationing here for a great time.
