We had visited Nirth Andros two years ago and stayed inland a bit. We happened upon the Davis Creek area and looked here first when our two grown daughters and their husbands and two grandchildren decided to return to Andros. It was a perfect spot for all, 5 months to 71! We rented the Emersld and the Sapphire, side by side where we could put the grandkids to bed and still enjoy the evening together. So much to do here for a family from Montana who loves all things outdoors.Trevor was so responsive to all our additional requests and Mario greeted us at the house and got us settled in. Trevor lined up a fishing guide for us , we visited several blue holes, kayaked, snorkeled and enjoyed meals together in a very well equipped kitchen. A great family setting and great accommodations. We will be back!

The house boat is really a house on Fresh Creek. It's not floating but is solidly on poured concrete pillars. Great accommodations. We caught multiple fish species right off the deck. We took out the kayaks and tooled around, and even caught some bonefish in the nearby flats. We swam in the creek and watched the stunning sunsets from the back deck. Andros is a gem of an island, undisturbed by the normal commercialization of the Bahamas, and this houseboat is a gem of place to stay when you're ready to relax and really get away from it all. I'd like to give a huge thank you to Gabrielle for her help making our stay great. She was readily available to help out with the small things we needed (like getting the internet hooked up or a water jug refill) at literally a moments notice.

Great week at big bamboo. Pictures don’t do house justice it’s even better. Couldn’t have asked for a better spring break week with my family. 100% would come back. My 8 yo asked me to move to big bamboo. Thanks for a great week!

The title sums it up but let me say this is a great property. I have stayed with properties all over the Bahamas/World and I enjoyed this one the best. Great house, property location, dock access all combined with the tranquil “old Bahamas” charm that only Andros can offer. If you and the family or friends want aa incredible watermen getaway the Coakley House will be great. Awesome fishing, diving or any other ocean activity can be had here. Lastly I cannot say enough about the properties caretaker!! We stayed here for a working trip so I’m sure my needs were far more demanding then the regular guest. Everything was handled with unbelievable efficiency and charm. This also included checking in with us the day after we left to confirm our safe arrival as the seas were building the day we left. I don’t think it’s possible to find a better property with better service anywhere in the Bahamas. Additionally I have not had better service at any VRBO property anywhere in the world. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Our villa/duplex opened right onto the beach. The amenities were great (it's nice to pop your towels in the dryer) and everything was clean. You can't beat the view. If you're not much for cooking yourself, Brigadier's is at the end of the block and has excellent food (and drinks!). Mario was very helpful and always available if needed. The island and its people are very relaxed and slow paced. No one is in a hurry. Everyone is friendly. I was a bit nervous about driving on the left for the first time, but you see so few other cars that it's pretty easy. I joked with Mario that I just had to drive like a local, which means down the middle of the road and if you see someone coming, dodge to the left. Fortunately, the Queens Highway has been recently repaved. A couple things to consider if you're thinking of coming to Andros is provisions and power. The grocery stores are more akin to a large convenience store. We preferred Gaiter's, but Mabel's was more convenient. Also, in our 6 days/5 nights we only went one 24 hour period with uninterrupted electricity. The outages lasted anywhere from 20 minutes to an hour or so. Some locals we talked to said it's not uncommon but seemed to be happening more often lately. Perhaps they're working on the grid like they are working on the roads. Andros is a wonderful, beautiful island, and it's hard to beat The Treasures for a place to stay.

The cottage fit our needs perfectly. Waterfront location was scenic and nicely swimmable! Cottage had everything you need… food shopping was a bit of a challenge… bring your own coffee/tea! The restaurant was close by and the food was great which was lucky cause other places were hard to find. We’re seniors so the only addition we suggest would be installing a safety bar in the shower, otherwise, we had a great time!
