About Michael and Lee Eady
I grew up in Albany, GA as a young girl but fell in love with Highlands, NC through traveling to this home when it was owned by my grandmother, Minnie Lee. As a young girl we traveled to Highlands several times a year to vacation. Since those days, the house has been passed through my mother and now on to me and my brothers and sisters. The house has been in our family for nearly 50 years. I now reside in Birmingham, AL and teach high school drama.
Michael and Lee Eady purchased this House in 1940
Why Michael and Lee Eady chose Highlands
This house is very special to me since it was originally purchased by my grandmother, Minnie Lee. After my grandmother passed, the house was left to my mother, Elizabeth Loosier. My mother passed away a few years ago and now the house is owned by me and my siblings. It is a very dear place to us and we look forward to sharing the beauty of this home with visitors for years to come.
What makes this House unique
The house is a short 5 minute drive to downtown Highlands. It is conveniently located to waterfalls, shopping, and many other area attractions.

Perfect for our needs
Great location with a beautiful view. Our family had a great time at Minnie Blessings. It was big enough to accommodate all 5 of us comfortably.
Kristina, we loved having your family at our home! Thanks so much for visiting and we hope you will visit again in the future!
I loved staying at Minnie Blessings. Everything you need to enjoy your stay at the house is provide
The location is fantastic, the view is beautiful and you have everything you need provided at the beautiful home.
Great location near downtown Highlands while still being in a quiet location with great views. Convenient to lots of hiking and waterfalls. I recommend the Glen Falls and Whiteside Mountain trails. The downstairs area was perfect for our tween and teen kids. There is a TV and living area for them to hang out and two bedrooms with their own baths. Also a bunk bed in the living area for more sleeping area. You can tell the house is a little older, but they have done updates which are very nice. The sun room with the hanging bed is very cute! We were there in the winter so couldn't enjoy it, but it would be a great place to hang out in the summer. The beds were comfortable and we had plenty of kitchen tools to make cookies for Santa!
We loved having you guys! Glad you enjoyed staying at our home. We hope you come back and see us soon!
Beautiful view. Accommodating home for three couples. Nicely furnished. Updated baths are excellent. The one lane drive up Dog Mountain was rather daunting in a dense fog, but we made all our trips with no problem. Very convenient to downtown Highlands for fun Christmas shopping.
We loved having you guys! Please come visit again soon!
Electrical outlets were not all working. Some linens and towels were dingy with holes. The beds downstairs were very creaky and not comfortable. The kitchen had some items that were not clean and not well organized or easy to find.
We were able to address some of the outlet problem by finding the breaker box. One bathroom downstairs had a towel bar that had fallen off the wall.
We did have a good time with our group of relatives and the size of the house and the floor plan was comfortable. The location of the house was convenient and easy to find.
Sorry to hear you had issues with electrical outlets. This is the first we've ever heard of anyone having trouble with electrical outlets, problems with towels and kitchen items. The towel bar had supposedly been fixed but apparently it wasn't fixed well. We will look into these issues and make sure they don't come up again. We would never want our guests to have issues like this and apologize for the inconvenience.
We arrived amidst a driving summer rain storm that cooled the August day off nicely. The home was perfect for two older parents who enjoyed the main level master bedroom. Downstairs were two large bedrooms with private baths. The kitchen is well stocked as is the garage!!
We watched TV to keep up with Hurricane Irma and enjoyed a natural fire as the temperature dipped into the upper 40's at night. Would love to return!!
Rodney, we loved having you and we're happy to hear you had a great time. The weather in Highlands is hard to beat. Thanks again for choosing to stay at Minnie Blessings!
