Having lived my whole life in Illinois I found Door County Wisconsin to be the best place to get away to within reasonable driving distance. I hate airports and much prefer the serenity of making a car trip through Milwaukee and up to Egg Harbor. It's much less stressful than taxis, shuttle busses, car rentals, TSA and flight delays. I purchased my first Wisconsin waterfront property in 2003. After spending a year fixing up the house it was transformed into a wonderful vacation destination. My wife and I ran the house rental business for the past 3 years and really enjoyed it. We rented to 78 different families and surprisingly never had a problem. One observation we made over the years is that renters always want to fit more people into the house than it's designed for. I turned down many rentals because the 4 BR house would be too crowded. In 2012 I went in with a few partners and bought the Mariner Resort, a run-down lakefront hotel/cottage compound with a magnificent shoreline. We tore everything down and started fresh with two fantastic homes designed for the vacation rental business. In late August of 2014 we'll have a second house completed that is nearly identical in terms of space and luxury. It's on the adjacent lot and will be available for rent in September. I've worked in the fast-paced television broadcasting industry for the past 30 years and have found the resort rental business to be relaxing.

Total privacy from the main road yet still on the public sewer system and high speed cable. No airplanes flying over, tons of stars at night yet only minutes from the great resort town of Egg Harbor. It's also only 15 miles to Sturgeon Bay, another great town where Titanic sized ships are manufactured and big box stores are open 24 hours. 7501 Mariner is a real gem. Beautiful home and perfect for a couple of families. The weather kept us inside the entire time and we were comfortable and relaxed using the fireplace and all the spaces. This is a gorgeous and well equipped home and the owners are responsive and helpful.

We love Door County! The location was near to many of our favorite spots.
My brother came home from Australia for the holidays and brought a dear friend who was looking forward to experiencing her first winter and white Christmas! The house was beautifully laid out for us (my 4 siblings). The kitchen was well equipped and user friendly. Loved the Kerig machine. Appreciated the overflow supplies (coffee filters, seasonings). All the light switches being labeled made the house easy to use. The wood fireplace was a cozy treat on blustery nights. What a wonderful winter getaway location for us! We loved the property and would look forward to staying again in the future!

Beautiful, enchanting property
This home is absolutely lovely. It was in perfect condition when we arrived, and had many amenities that we all enjoyed.
Stunningly beautiful, well maintained property.
We rented this lovely home for a family visit to Door County. My mother resides in Fish Creek and we wanted to get our gang together for a week to spend some time with her.
The home is spacious, well organized and close to just about everything in Door County. All the bedrooms have their own bathrooms and there is an adjacent mother-in-law quarters above the garage. There is internet and plenty of entertainment, including a foosball table on the third floor. We cooked meals on the barbeque, did puzzles around the large kitchen table, made a fire in the fire pit out by the dock and baked a cherry pie. Couldn't have enjoyed ourselves more!
Perfect place for family and friends
We had a wedding in Door County and all our family was able to stay together in the two houses. It made for a perfect weekend.
We had a wedding party stay in both of the houses and everything worked out great. Great location in that it is close to Egg Harbor, beautiful view, quality house that was very clean with all of the amenities. Highly recommend.

MAXIMUM OCCUPANCY- The maximum number of guests in our home is limited to eighteen (18) persons. An additional charge of $20.00 per person/per night for guests in addition to fourteen (14) will be added to the rental rate. CHECK IN/CHECK OUT - Check-in is 4 P.M. central time and check-out is 10 A.M. central time. No early check-in or late check-out is permitted without written approval at least 60 days in advance. Exceeding the reported number of guests or the maximum allowed will result in automatic forfeiture of the damage deposit.
