Host was very responsive. The name is a little deceptive as it is not actually on a golf course. We enjoyed relaxing in the screened in porch bug free. Location just a few minutes from Egg Harbor was great! Very nice affordable house in the woods in Door County.

Yes, the location of our cabin is close to everything restaurants bars, etc. we are on a golf course. There is just nine holes available at this time there used to be 36. And the beach is two minutes away by car and very quaint. There’s all different water sport activities. You can also rent at the beach. We hope to have you back again next year thanks kevin

Great communication with host. Easy check in and check out. Great cabin for a family getaway to door county. Close to town and theaters. Comfy couch to rest on between outings. Screen porch was excellent for morning coffee and playing board games. We did a mystery box on the screen porch during a rainstorm! Out dog is 50 pounds. Had a great time. Quiet dead end street for talking dog on cozy walk in the woods along the paved street.

We are so happy you had a fabulous time at our quaint cabin in the woods. You could hear a pin drop at night. You could also drive five minutes away to supper clubs and bars downtown Egg Harbor, or a two minute drive to take a dip in the beach lol. Hope to see you again next year thanks kevin

Location was wonderful. It was only two minutes from Egg Harbor and Highway 42. There was ample room in the home to accommodate seven adults and two dogs. Kitchen was fully supplied with everything you need. Living room and dining room were very spacious able to accommodate a large group. Very nice outdoor fire pit with chairs. We had trouble with the Wi-Fi, but the host was very responsive and address the problem. It should be noted that this is an older home and it’s in need of some repair /maintenance especially in the bathrooms. Overall we had a wonderful time.

Cozy and comfortable space for our family vacation. Especially appreciated the kids/bunk bed room which included some toys that our kids really enjoyed. The porch setup with grill was perfect for our dinners. The bathrooms are a little rough but worked fine for our needs. Plenty of clean towels for the whole family.This house sits adjacent to what was a golf course - but it is not in operation, unfortunately, and is not currently being maintained as of summer 2026. I heard that the future of the golf course is in dispute, so here's hoping it gets sorted out in a timely manner.

Great place to stay in Egg Harbor! Loved having our dogs with us and watching the deer. The shops and dining experiences were awesome too! But enjoying family time at the cottage was priceless! The kitchen is well stocked with dishes and utensils for meals with family. The screened porch was great too. (Didn’t get to use this as much as expected due to air quality in the state. But would love to on another visit.)Communication with the host was very efficient and immediate! Loved that! Kevin answered any questions and offered suggestions of nearby places, if needed.

We have rented homes for the last 20 years. This has been the worst one ever. The house has a moisture issue. Awful damp/musty smell, the couches & beds feel wet. The house was not properly cleaned... clothes left in drawers, coffee in the coffee pot, cobwebs & bugs everywhere, q tips in couch cushions, food & stuff under the couches. Siding under a couch cushion??? Black mold in the bathroom, tiles loose or missing. I understand well water but this was so bad I didn't even let my dog drink it. These issues have been brought up before & they stated they addressed said issues... they did not. The photos are not updated. They are on an old golf course that is full of weeds. No hitting gold balls on the 5th hole. It is in a great location and if they did a complete remodel this place would be amazing.

The location of the cottage is great, but the property is clearly not taken care of and the description on VRBO is outdated. Our main reason for staying there was for the golf course they said was in the back of the property, but the course has been out of commission for a while and was completely overgrown. When walking inside, you are hit with a wall of musk and moisture but no dehumidifier or air filters were provided. When moving a bed, we found mold on the walls that was touching the bedding and the smell was so unbearable we had to get tents to stay outside. There were dirty bandages on the ground in one of the bedrooms and you could tell it hadn’t been vacuumed in a while. The mold in the bathroom was so bad as well and was covered to try and hide it, but again the smell gave it away. There is also a terrible infestation of daddy long legs. 10/10 would NOT recommend

We’re sorry this stay did not meet your expectations. Door County summers are humid, and when the AC is not left running between guests a small amount of mildew can appear in a few spots. We addressed those areas the same day we learned of them. Our cleaner arrived the morning and found guests still sleeping inside the house; there were no tents outside. We do not leave dirty bandages or debris after cleaning. The golf course behind the property currently has 9 holes open, as noted in our listing. We take cleanliness seriously and have reinforced our cleaning and dehumidifying routine. We appreciate feedback that helps us keep the cottage in good condition for future guests.

Very nice stay

The place was very nice and perfect for our weekend stay. The rooms were clean and the whole area was quite beautiful. The owner was also very responsive and helpful throughout our entire stay. A perfect place for a weekend getaway.

We loved this house! Especially the privacy in the backyard where the fire pit is located and the screen porch which was very large and had lights strung up that made it look charming. Big TV on the porch was also a plus. Kevin the owner answered a question we had immediately.

The location is perfect. The home is on a dead end road and felt like you were in the woods. Very quiet and peaceful. The home itself was nice. Some cleaning spots missed but the owner took care of it right away. The house seemed to have all we needed. The owner was easy to get a hold of, very helpful, and generous.

Awesome location

This was a comfortable and beautiful location to stay during our recent trip to Door County. The owner was great to work with and assisted us when needed. Another great getaway to beautiful Door County.

A cozy stay

We had a very comfortable stay in Egg Harbor. Kevin was a great communicator and gracious host. We loved the quiet location and cozy feel of the house and especially enjoyed spending time on the screened porch. We would be happy to stay here again!

Thank's our cabin is close to everything............It can be quiet place where you can hear a pin drop.....Or you can drive 2 miles down the street and hear a pint slide across the bar. When you are in Egg Harbor there is plenty of things to do......from supper clubs to microbreweries to Wineries.......and endless outside activities.The beach (1.5 miles)........and of course in our own yard a 36 hole golf course (20steps from the cabin)...and where to start The 5Th Hole...............lol...

Door County Getaway

Property was very clean and well suited for our needs, which included traveling with dogs. Property does need some upkeep, but overall provided for a good rental experience.

Great stay with fall colors

We had a great stay at this property. Close to all of the fun fall events we had planned. I even snuck onto the fifth hole with clubs the owner had available. I definitely recommend this property.

Great Location in Door County

The property description is very accurate. The three bedrooms / 2 baths made it very comfortable for 2 couples to vacation. The host Kevin is very responsive and easy to work with.

My name is Kevin I love to travel and would like other people to enjoy my place when I'm not there. I live in Chicago and due to work etc.. I can not go up there as much as I use to and decided to rent it out when available.

My house is nested in the woods on a 9 hole golf course , you could just chill or drive to beach 1.5 miles away. There is lot's of things to do 2 miles away in town from bars & supper clubs, live music at the park. If you have a dog you could walk to public access points to the shores of Green Bay for a quick swim for your dog or for the kids endless rocks to throw into the water. We also have Egg Harbor Yacht club you could leave your boat or watch the sunset .....
