very nice home in garden district
This historic house is very nice and has plenty of room for family and friends. Christian was very welcoming. The special treats were a nice touch. The bedrooms were well appointed. The living room area is nicely decorated. The kitchen is dated but I think he is still renovating the house. The bathrooms were all recently redone especially in the blue room.
We had booked this house, well in advance of the date we stayed. My caution to you would be to read the rental agreement well. You cannot under any circumstances get your deposit back if you don't end up staying there even if it is more than 60 days before you are scheduled to book. You would essentially loose your deposit to this expensive house. If you end up staying, it is a nice stay. It is easily accessible to other parts of town that are more like party areas. The are is quiet. It has a fence and good security. Also unless you are family, you are not encouraged to entertain in the house. We were 6 friends in the house and it was very roomy.
Unbelievable Experience!
Christian, thank you so much for giving us the history of your place and the neighborhood. Your passion comes across in the interior design of your property. It was truly an amazing opportunity to stay there. The location is prime. It's on the edge of the district so it was close to shopping, and restaurants while also being close to other Garden District sights. The continued updates are stunning. I look forward to seeing what you do with the place when I come back to NOLA next as I will be looking to book with you again. One word of advice: additionally, speak to and walk your guest around the outdoor space. It is a very nice point of interest that you didn't highlight.
Beautiful and comfortable
We had a great trip! This home was in a wonderful location in the Garden District. It was spacious, warm and inviting. The sunlight that comes through the front room is gorgeous! Christian was a wonderful host and we enjoyed our trip very much!
Great visit to NOLA!
Christian and his team were friendly and welcoming; questions via text were responded to promptly and he was accommodating to our requests.
Amazing Mansion! Great location in Garden District.
Had a group of 8 of us staying together in New Orleans and this place was great. The Mansion was so cool, tons of room, perfect location, etc. St. Charles and Magazine street are so close (which are both worth exploring, lots of cool shops and good eats/drinks).
50th Wedding Anniversary
We gathered our children and grandchildren together to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary. It was lovely to all be together in the same house instead of spread about in separate hotel rooms! We ate our way through New Orleans and found this house to be perfect. It is a great location, a beautiful old home with a fascinating history, and Christian has made it very comfortable for his guests. Both the house and the yard show his great care for detail - beautiful flowers and trees in the yard - and lovely furniture - many antiques - in the house. Just great!
