If you are looking for a peaceful, fun getaway, look no farther. With Lake Greeson right at hand and a Diamond Mine and waterpark right in town, your enjoyment is sure to never end. There is also a mini golf and antique stores to explore!
The home is peaceful and so relaxing but you still have the convenience of a full kitchen and satellite if you want. You can sit on the porch and watch the lightening bugs and hear the crickets chirp and if you're lucky, you may even see a deer cross the property! There are many squirrels and rabbits that play on the property also!
This was perfect for my husband & I to stay! Nice place! Clean and bed was comfortable to sleep on! Pretty and peaceful surroundings if you love the outdoors feel. We saw some wildlife near. Just 15 minutes from the Diamond park and right down the road from lake greeson where you can fish and rent a boat. We are already planning to go back with family so we can mine for diamonds again. Plenty of room for several to stay. Plus the owner was super nice and very accommodating!!!!!! We loved it!
We were looking for a cabin to stay in the area after digging for diamonds at The Crater of Diamonds. This is only about 15 minutes away, very close to Lake Greeson and the Little Missour river. We were able to be in both places to fish in about 5-10 min. Beautiful surroundings. My boys (7 and 9) loved exploring around the cabin. The inside is updated, modern kitchen appliances, well stocked utensils/dishes/cookware, with plenty of towels for the bathroom. The beds were super comfy. It was very clean and inviting. We would have loved to build a fire outside (bring your own lawn chairs) but it was just too windy.
The owners were very easy to work with, easy to reach via text. They also answered all my questions quickly. We'd definitely like to come back!
I booked this cabin for a small family get together for five adults to do some trout fishing and to try our luck at the crater of the diamonds. As we drove up the driveway to the cabin, I thought we were in the wrong place. The pictures don't do it justice. I thought we were at the wrong cabin! We all loved it! The back of the cabin is on a bit of a slop on the hillside so as you drive up you'll see the front deck that's bigger than it looks in the picture with a covered walkway on both sides leading to the back deck. So many beautiful trees all around that you felt like you were in the middle of nowhere. It is truly a hillside hideaway. As you walk in it was decorated very nicely and had a warm welcoming feel. Spotless. The living room is bigger that the photo makes it look. As we walked out onto the back deck it was pretty big and you felt as if you were in a tree house. The back deck had a charcoal barbecue and a table with seating four four with a couple extra chairs. As we settle in we decided that we were going to have a bon fire each night so we moved the barbecuer in front of the the porch, set up our fold up chairs on the deck. We pretty much hung out there in the evenings to watch the bon fire, catch up on each others lives and make plans for our outings for the next day. Not far from the cabin, on the way up to the cabin from Murfreesboro, you'll see a sign for Swaha Marina. It's huge. There's a swimming area there and you can pick up tackle and such, beautiful. If you're going up for gems and stones, take a drive to Mount Ida. The display there is awesome and we came back with some great souvenirs. You can dig there as well but we missed the last group which was at 2 PM. For a quick bit we visited Em's Cafe in Murfreesboro, great food and friendly service. If you go trout fishing downstream from the dam, they let out water at 3 PM and it rises fast so use caution. We hated to leave and ended up booking an extra night. We have some new memories to add. A big thanks to Chuck and his wife for being so accommodating. We will definitely stay there the next time we all meet up.
Fisherman's Cove is located about 9 miles out of Murfreesboro on highway 27 and is a steak and seafood restaurant with a wide variety on their menu. With a warming environment and excellent service, you'll be sure to enjoy your visit.
