Golf Home 150 is a cozy 4 bed/2 bath cabin located just off the 15th tee box on the Big Meadow Golf Course. An updated remodel was completed in 2010 which included new cabinets, carpet, paint and appliances. The large deck and great room enjoy the surroundings of an adjacent Aspen grove and green fairway.
The bedrooms include 2 king beds, one upstairs and one on the ground floor; a queen bed downstairs and a bunk room with 4 twin beds for the children to share and enjoy. The house has a unique spiral staircase that kids and those adults young at heart will love!! The plus to this is the house can sleep 8 without having anyone in the living area!
The towels and linens are all provided for your stay. A full size washer and dryer are in a separate laundry room. Doing your laundry is a breeze and nothing beats unpacking clean clothes on your return home!!
The galley kitchen is fully stocked with a good selection of spices and appliances. An open dining area seats 7. The back deck is the star feature of this home providing a wonderful spot for family gatherings, dining, games, reading and relaxing or simply watching wildlife stroll by. Available is a gas barbecue and plenty of patio furniture for outdoor dining. Don't forget to ty out the hammock just off the corner of the deck.
For the sports fans in the group, there's a flat screen TV with cable. A DVD player is also connected in the great room. WiFi is likewise provided.
The location is simply one of the best on the Ranch. Nearby, there is quick access to bike paths and great walking/running loops. The house is within walking distance of the Paulina Pool (beach towels are provided). Located in a very quiet and reserved section of the ranch, it's sheltered from the hustle and bustle of the summer crowds and has very limited traffic. It is a small oasis within the fabulous Black Butte Ranch community.

Barb Proctor purchased this house in 1991
The owners discovered Black Butte Ranch in the mid 1970's. As a young family, they vacationed with good friends each Summer at the Ranch. In 1991 they made the decision to buy Golf Home 150 and have never looked back. After 24 years of recreating and golfing, the children are grown, and it's time to start traveling. The house is too nice to sit unoccupied for most of the year. Hopefully, renters will enjoy their home as much as they enjoyed the homes of others when they first fell in love with Black Butte.
This home is located adjacent to a large Aspen grove to the left of the 15th tee of Big Meadow Golf Course. These same Aspens are the backdrop for the spectacular view downward to the number 14 signature hole. Reclining on the large deck is the ultimate in relaxation. The leaves serve as natural wind chimes in this peaceful setting. The house has truly one of the best locations on the Ranch. It's within walking distance to Paulina Springs and Paulina Pool and just one block from the bike path. An added bonus is the back yard hammock which is positioned to check out the tee shots of golfers passing by.
My family and I had a wonderful week at your lovely BBR home. We loved the deck overlooking the 15th tee! So relaxing to sit in the sunshine, hearing the wind blow through the Aspen trees. We saw a little family of deer every morning walking past the house, which was delightful! The house itself was very nice. We all slept very well! The beds were very comfortable. The kitchen was small, but was very well stocked. We weren't fans of the spiral staircase, but we took it slow when we were going up and down. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay! It was a really fun week! 👍❤️☀️ Thank you!
We rented this home for a few days around New Year's Eve. Even though it is not a home that is usually rented during the winter, the owners opened it up as there was nothing else available. there were 5 adults and 2 kids (7 & 10) and the house was very comfortable for us. A bonus was it was very close to the sledding hill on the 15th hole. One thing is that the two upstairs bedrooms are accessed by a pretty steep spiral staircase, so those with little kids or mobility issues should be aware. Both bathrooms are downstairs. The galley-style kitchen is snug, but we cooked big dinners for ourselves and friends with no problem. The house is very well equipped. A special shout out to Barb Proctor, the manager: she was incredibly helpful in working with the owners to open up the house and making sure the cable/internet and heat were ready for our stay.
Had a great time with the family, and really enjoyed the location on the golf course! Plenty of room for 8-10 people. Deck and BBQ are awesome at night when the sun is going down. Also, beverage cart will make you a drink if you can catch him/her going by while you are out there. No garage to store bikes, but they were always there in the morning for us after just leaving them out front. Kitchen a tad small for prepping meals.
The new lodge pool complex is also a great addition to the resort!
This BBR home has all of the basic necessities for an enjoyable vacation. The living area is large and comfortable. The best feature is the large deck on the back of the home that looks out on the 15th tee allowing you to watch golfers tee off and react to their drives! There are 4 decent sized rooms but two of them are difficult to access for pets, small children or older adults because of a steep spiral staircase. It is also easy to bump your head on the corners of the staircase as you enter the bathrooms. The bathrooms are newly remodeled but extremely small with little to no counter space. The kitchen is also very small, although it is updated and well stocked with necessary items. It is nice to have 2 king beds and 1 queen in addition to the 4 singles in the bunk room. Not having a bathroom upstairs is also unfortunate. Overall the house is comfortable, clean, and well-appointed, but a bit small in critical areas that take away from the livability. But a nice, private home for the price.
Pretty nice place! Clean and well taken care of. The big windows in the living room give you a great view of the course and the aspen trees. They have nice deck furniture too. I took a nap there a couple of times under the rustling of the aspens. They have a hammock and I thought I'd use it, but I didn't because the deck chairs were really comfy.
The only downside: The bathrooms are tiny and the kitchen is small too. But that makes way for a big living room / dining room area which is very spacious. The golf course can, at times, be noisy when the mowers come through or when a golfing party is particularly loud, but I didn't mind it.
Pets are allowed here, and our little pup enjoyed the house and the outdoors too!
We are big fans of Black Butte, and really enjoyed our stay here.
I rent at BBR quite often and this house is a fantastic value for the area (Golf Home) with 4 bedrooms and that will accomodate well-behaved pets. Our family had a fantastic time at the house, it has a great open cabin feel, and while it sits back in grove of Aspen trees the sunlight in the mornings every day before noon is more than enough and indirect light the rest of the day which keeps the house cool (no AC). The proximity to the 15th tee box is stunning and provides a wonderful view (and even conversation!) with willing golfers passing by. The house is very clean, neat and while the galley kitchen is small, it is tidy, updated and totally fine for family of 4. The open feel of the lower level and easily accessible giant deck makes up for the small kitchen! The best part of this house is the massive deck. Walking to Paulina pool will provide a beautiful view. Only cautions: anyone bringing a pet that cannot go up (or be carried) up spiral stairs should be mindful as that is the only way to get to the two up bedrooms (one with bunks and one king). Our pup slept in one of the lower BR's on his bed and was happy. Also, we hung bright t-shirts around the corners of the spiral steps near head-level as they are in the middle of the front of house on lower level and it is very easy to bump one's head when passing under them to access the bathrooms. Also, the house could be challenging accommodation for folks with pre-elementary or wee ones/toddlers (I still checked the box for families with kids), but I did see where netting is provided for smaller kids (to put across upstairs galley railing). Overall great house and recommended!
