About George Moore

Father of Five

George Moore purchased this house in 2014

Why George Moore chose Seneca

We looked at several lakefront homes and went with the one with by far the best view. We have five children and wanted a good family home. So many of the houses on Lake Keowee are so pretentious you wouldnt want your kids in them as to the damage they would cause

Its just a great family house with an incredible view.

What makes this house unique

We use the lake house about every other week or weekend so its always stock with the little items you need and we keep the maintenance up too.

Guestbook comments from the owner

Nice house, great view, beautiful lake, perfect week. Owner was great to work with and easy to communicate with. House was tidy clean and neat and has an unbelievable lake view. We had a great summer vacation week. Our kids loved the paddle boars and kayaks and spent almost everyday on the beach on the nearby island. Lake water is so clean and very uncrowded and very few boats. In fact most days we only saw one or two boats and even on Saturday there arent many boats out. Weather was awesome and a great time. Highly recomend

Nice mini vacation

  • 4 of 5

The owner was very responsive, flexible and nice.

The number of places in the house to hang out were plentiful. The bedrooms were a nice size and in good shape. L p awwThe view and the lake were very nice. The house was in a traditional neighborhood; not really a lake house feel to the neighborhood (not good or bad, just a fact).

The missing 5th star was all about the kitchen... Small, dark, and in need of serious updating (some cabinets are kind of taped up).

Wonderful stay! Great views of Lake Keowee!!

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful long weekend stay! We were there for the Clemson game, and this house is just a short ride in. Beautiful unobstructed lake views right from the living room and back deck. Nice outdoor areas and dock out back. Ping pong and air hockey was good entertainment for the kids. Great communication with owner. Will stay again!

Perfect Lake House

  • 5 of 5

This is a perfect lake house. It has everything you need, lots of space, nice deck space, short walk to the water with landscaping along the way, a fire pit area, a little beach right on the water's edge, and dock with a seating area, and a second story to jump off of if you're feeling adventurous. Kayaks to paddle over to the nearby island, a paddle board and plenty of outdoor chairs, and the cove the house is situated on is perfect for swimming--cool deep waters with boats and jetskis only occasionally coming by. This is a family's house that is obviously used and loved regularly--not a vacation rental exclusively. We liked that because it meant there were things like cloth napkins and laundry detergent and plenty of dishes. We went as a group of 6 friends (from Athens, GA) had tons of space to spread out and sleep comfortably, including on the living room couch which is super plush and comfy. Beautiful views from the house and all the surrounding houses are so pretty to look at, including a beautiful house right next door that was fun to see from the lake. This place is beautiful too, in its kind of quirky 70s charm, but mostly in its outdoor space and love and attention paid to the outdoor space. Definitely recommend. Lake Keowee is fast becoming my favorite lake destination, can't wait to go back to this spot with my extended family--even looked into booking it the very next weekend, but it was booked. Thanks for opening this home to folks like me and my friends! We had such a great time there.

Perfect Holiday Weekend - Perfect for Clemson Games too

  • 5 of 5

Beautiful Lakefront house with a spectalur lake view. We have stayed several times at Lake Keowee and this is by far the best view of the lake we have ever had. We spent the Thanksgiving Weekend on the Lake and it was perfect our family of 8. The three teenage girls took over the basement, our parents were in the second bedroom and the little kids had a room to themselves too. Weather was very nice and warm and we loved using the kayaks. Clemson crushed SC and the game was only 25 minutes away - easy drive.

Highly recommend and the house was very clean and tidy plus the owner sent us some great info on where to hike and eat and is a very nice man to deal wirh. 5 stars for sure

Great Family Vacation

  • 5 of 5

My family and I were thoroughly pleased with our stay at the Lake Keowee House. The scenic views, specious hous with excellent amenities, and attention to detail by the homeowner made us feel as if we were in the comfort of our own home. I've already recommended stay at the cabin to several of my friends and colleagues, as it provides a tranquil getaway to relieve the stresses of everyday life. House was very clean and tide and the lake view was spectalure. The Lake is very clean and refreshing. We loved using the paddleboards and kayaks and the firepit is the perfect end to eveyr day there. Owner is great to deal with and easy. We have already booked our week for next summer.
