About the property

2 Bedroom, 1 Bath Cabin Along Pine Creek With Breathtaking Mountain Views

Scroll to the bottom to access a link for our Facebook page! **Please note that this cabin is not in Slate Run. Although the headline states this, the cabin is about 15-20 minutes from Slate Run. Slate Run is the closest town that is listed on VRBO, and so the cabin is listed as such.** Get away from it all at Miller Time, the premiere Pine Creek vacation spot in the Wilds of Pennsylvania, located directly on the creek. This quaint cabin includes all the amenities of home, in a serene mountain location. Bring the family, or a group of friends to relax and unwind under the blue sky--there is plenty of parking. Our two bedroom, one bathroom cabin accommodates 6 people comfortably, and is pet-friendly, so bring your furry friends along as well (dogs only). The master bedroom sleeps two, while the additional large bedroom sleeps four in single beds. Begin each day by enjoying a cup of coffee from the Keurig while rocking on the screened-in porch and spotting wildlife across the creek, including deer, bald eagles, and the occasional bear. Load up the bikes for a spin on the Rails to Trails, or take a paddle in a canoe or kayak (bring your own, or we have 6 for kayaks for rent). Hop down the stairs to the creek and take a dip in the swimming hole, float on one of our inner tubes, or try your hand at fishing or catching crayfish. Feeling less adventurous? One of our favorite past times is simply pulling up a chair and watching people cruise down the creek each day on their kayaks. When dinner time rolls around, sip a cocktail and prepare dinner in the kitchen, or grill some steaks on our gas or charcoal grill. Eat right outside at the picnic table, enjoying the priceless view. Don't feel like cooking? Try out some of the delicious local eateries, including our favorite--the Waterville Tavern--located 7 miles away. Take advantage of our 1-acre property in the evening by playing some of the many lawn games available at the cabin, including cornhole, washers, and ladder golf. When evening rolls around, it's time to get the campfire going, and pull up a chair around the fire pit. We provide the firewood, and have plenty of equipment for making smores, mountain pies, or roasting weenies. Stargazing is also a highlight, and if the sky is clear, you will be certain to spot some shooting stars. The evening is the perfect time to enjoy a beer and conversation while looking down over the creek and roasting a s'mores. After a busy day, the perfect ending is dozing off with the mountain breeze coming through the windows, and the sound of the babbling creek below. On a rainy day, take some time to check out the many interesting books and board games around the house, or journey to one of the neighboring towns to do some wine tasting (Oregon Hill Winery) or to explore the world-renowned Little League World Series Museum in South Williamsport. **Our cabin was purchased as a retreat to enjoy time with family and friends, and to slow down and unwind. As such, we do not have television on the property. No matter what activities you choose to do during your visit, we know you will have a great time. We provide the linens, towels, and even some towels for the creek..all you have to bring is yourself! This property is locally-owned, and the owners are readily available in the unlikely event that any problems would arise during your stay. **Please note that a 2.5% tax will be added to any payments made using credit/debit cards, or Paypal accounts.

About Corey & Erin Miller

The Millers grew up locally, spent several years living other places, and ultimately decided that the beauty of Central Pennsylvania could not be beat! We enjoy the outdoors immensely, and our favorite way to relax is to spend some time fishing, kayaking, hiking, and swimming with our yellow lab, Riley (and a few beers, of course). We were married along Pine Creek, and it forever holds a special place in our hearts!

Corey & Erin Miller purchased this cabin in 2014

Why Corey & Erin Miller chose Pennsylvania

We both grew up swimming in the creeks of Pennsylvania, Pine Creek being the best by far. Although we are now busy adults with our own responsibilities, we still enjoy getting away from it all. As such, when this property caught our eye, we just knew it was the one for us. We wanted a creekfront property in a location that felt like we were away from it all, but still close to all the necessities. Miller Time Cabin has the best of both worlds. We are in our own little world at Miller Time, but can walk to the bar to grab dinner in the evening, and be at the grocery store in just a few minutes. The cabin is meticulously built, and is beautiful inside and out. We both knew the minute we laid eyes on it that it would be a place we would make many memories in the years to come. We are very proud of the work we have put into the cabin, and are so excited to share it with others.

What makes this cabin unique

Our favorite aspects of the property are the creek right out front, with the beautiful mountains behind. We also love having coffee on the porch in the mornings, and looking for wildlife. Additionally, the acre lot makes us feel fairly secluded from it all, and we have plenty of room to play yard games. The fire pit was installed by us the first day we moved in, and is another highlight. We even just enjoy waving to all the kayakers going by, while we have a beer and watch them navigate the rougher parts! Of course, we enjoy taking our own kayaks out as well.

We're definitly coming back!

  • 5 of 5

Everything about Miller Time was exceptional. I truly felt I was staying at a friends house, everything you could possibly need was there. The views, the creek, the activities, the trails all were 5 star. We spent a long weekend and wished we stayed a week (and Milo agrees). Thumbs up to Corey and Erin on a perfect house and location. I never leave reviews but Miller Time was the exception, we have only been home for three hours and I had to write this. Can't wait to go back.

Perfect family rental.

  • 5 of 5

We recently stayed here for a long weekend with the dog and three young children. A+++ rating. We rent a TON of cabins and Miller Time was our favorite by far. Cabin exceptionally clean and well-maintained, inside and out. Great location: Perfect base camp for day hikes and just about any outdoor adventure you can think of! Children enjoyed the large yard and creek access. Very secluded and private. Shed and cabin well stocked with games, tubes, chairs, etc.

Great Location and Property

  • 5 of 5

The setting is beautiful and the cabin excellent. It is well equipped and clean. We had a wonderful week there with our family. We enjoyed the yard games that are there and also did some tubeing with the tubes that are supplied. Access to the bking trail was nearby and we made us of it. We celebrated our granddaugher's 2nd birthday there and made some wonderful memories. I highly recommend it.

Wonderful Place

  • 5 of 5

You will love this place! Very nice and well-maintained inside and out. Owners responsive and have stocked property with all you'll need (other than your food). Quiet location with great views of pine creek and surrounding mountains from inside the cabin and screened porch-which we used daily for morning coffee. We took advantage of the creek, biking, and hiking trails and saw lots of wildlife (bald eagles, herons, deer, turkey). This cabin would be great anytime of the year for either active vacations or quiet getaways.

A Special Property

  • 5 of 5

This creek-side cabin was absolutely wonderful! It is easily accessible from a main road yet very private and quiet (with the exception of the soothing noises of the gurgling creek, frogs and birds). It is well-maintained and stocked with all the comforts of home. It is an easy base from which to launch adventures such as biking, kayaking and hiking. But it is so pleasant, that it is easy to just stay and enjoy the scenery of the creek, state forest across the creek and all the wildlife popping up. It is also a short drive to civilization should any needs arise. It is so nice that one of my guests wants to buy the place. I hope to return soon.

PERFECT

  • 5 of 5

This was the perfect getaway ever and the best way to kick off my retirement. The cabin was beautiful in more ways than I can mention and there are lots of touches that made it so comfortable. The pictures are exactly what it looks like, inside and out, and I am assuming that this is what the outdoors looks like in the summer since we were here when it was completely snow covered and the creek was frozen over. (My only suggestion is that you include a picture of it the wait looks when it is snowy.) Even the neighbors helped us with the car. I loved having hot cocoa on the porch, the dog loved the snow, and we all loved just being there. The cabin is fully furnished, and i cannot tell you (literally) how accommodating the owners are. They certainly have the personal touch all around. The creek was beautiful, the mountain was beautiful, the snow was beautiful, and the cabin was beautiful. We wanted peace and quiet with no television, cell service, or internet. Ahhh. THIS was the perfect beginning to my retirement, and the perfect way to start my daughter's last year of college. Thank you for everything you did for us before, during, and after our visit.
