SUMMER WEEKS ONLY; SUNDAY TO SUNDAY. Welcome to your treehouse in the woods! Giant Living/Dining window-walls look out to full deck and pond views, stunning in every season. 2,100 s.f. modern house with central A/C, furnished with stylish yet cozy mid-century furniture and art. 3 Queen Beds and 2 children's twins provide sleeping options for up to 8 on 3 levels. Oversized pond-level studio (has no door, but good privacy) has queen bed with 6' walk-out sliding glass door, lovely view of forest and pond. Street/entry level has Master Suite with double sink bathroom and walk-in shower, fully equipped cook's kitchen (no need to bring cookware!) with full compliment of stainless appliances, including dishwasher, microwave, gas range, toaster oven. Adjacent breakfast nook for 2-3 people, separate Dining room for 8. Living room has cable plasma TV and music system, wi-fi and land-line phone. Full-size washer/dryer also on this level. Upper level has queen bedroom, paired twin bedroom, bathroom with walk-in shower under large skylight - watch the clouds pass by as you bathe. All queen bedrooms have forest/pond views; twins bedroom just forest greenery. Pond is a 'Kettle Pond' - spring-fed, and so clear and inviting; short forest path takes you to water's edge. No road or highway noise - something rare on the Cape. Walk a public path through adjacent Nickerson State Park to even larger ponds with public canoe, paddle and sail boat hourly rentals. Fishing permitted in both Owl and Park ponds. Minutes drive to half-dozen town bayside beaches - great for kids - or 10 minute drive to famous Nauset Beach, with ocean waves and the occasional seal-sighting. Route 6A is utterly charming, and historically protected against the poor development decisions that afflict the towns near Hyannis. Relax in nature, close to attractions and activities.

About Jon Andersen-Miller
We're a designer couple - one daddy an architect, the other an interior designer, with an 8-year old boy. We've spent wonderful times at the tree house, and want to share it with other families looking for a memorable Cape experience.
Jon Andersen-Miller purchased this House in 2006
Why Jon Andersen-Miller chose Brewster
What's so special about a pond framed by forest? Somehow, every time of day and every season is bewitching. Rain in the forecast? Gorgeous on the pond. Up at 5:30am? The dawn unfolds so beautifully across it you might consider becoming a 'morning person'. In the Fall, the leaves create a golden/orange palette; in Winter, the bare trees covered in snow are lovely, the pond freezing and thawing in different ways. Stand in two feet of water for a summer swim, and witness the baby fish swimming by. The pond is warmer than the ocean, so it's a refreshing alternative to the beach; shady protection from the summer sun, private to the owner's association so there are rarely others on 'your' pond. With a double-height Living/Dining room overlooking it, your connection to the pond is always present. If you've ever stayed in Brewster, you'll know that it's a pretty relaxed place. It has no real 'downtown' with traffic and congestion, although the center of Orleans is a 5-minute drive, or a bike-ride along the trail. 6A has restaurants and antique shops and the Natural History Center if you want them on a rainy day, or town beaches on the bay where low tide stretches out for miles, and locals dig for clams. The immediate neighborhood is populated with more owners than renters, and you'll see friendly dog-walkers now and then, giving a wave as they go by.
What makes this House unique
Some less obvious considerations (that may mean a lot to your vacation!): Central air conditioning in a recently insulated house means comfort; no sheets damp with humidity at bed time, no roar of window units when trying to sleep. The upstairs rooms have ceiling fans as well, for those days when a little movement is all you need. Sunny bathrooms with walk-in showers: can help the day begin on the right note. Foremost, a Home: this house wasn't purchased or furnished 'as a rental', and the sense of quality is gratifying for the discerning vacationer. Enjoy the details that come with an architect's unique vision. Central Location on Cape: right off 6A and near exit 12 off route 6, there's easy access for excursions - Chatham Center nearby, to the fun of Provincetown. Convenience of Supermarkets nearby; Shaw's and Super Stop and Shop are minutes away, as is the Orleans Farmer's Market (check times). Taking a break from cooking? A full range of restaurants, from clam shacks to fine dining are easily accessible within a few minutes drive.

Beautiful natural light, Excellent location,Well equipped kitchen, Nice linens,Comfortable beds
We had a fantastic stay at this well equipped and aesthetically pleasing home. So clean and comfortable.
The layout of the bedrooms allowed for privacy, while the open layout of the common areas was bright and airy, with tons of natural light.
Wonderful, nice place, clean
Super clean house and obviously well maintained.
We had a great stay at this beautiful home. It's clean, well equipped with any necessities and very comfortable. Close to anything needed and a short drive to the beaches yet nestled back in the woods for a cozy, private feeling. It more than likely wont be our last stay in this house, even our 3 yr old didn't want to leave.
Beautiful home in beautiful setting!
The Owl Pond tree house is truly that...a treehouse! The house itself and the location are beautiful and we were able to take advantage of the pond, the beautiful local beaches and Nickerson State Park! The house itself is well appointed and comfortable with all the conveniences you need for a relaxing vacation. The home is obviously well taken care of and loved.
We are a family of 4 with 2 young boys and this was our 3rd year. In the past we've had other family join us and there was abundant space for all of us together.
We highly recommend the property and look forward to future visits.
Fantastic vacation property conveniently located with superior offerings
Our vacation was again made infinitely more enjoyable by this superior rental property. The house's design and elegant furnishings with all modern conveniences makes it a home away from home. We were immediately able to relax and slip into vacation mode upon arrival. The house is superbly maintained and the professional cleaning service is thorough. Both bayside and ocean beaches were a short trip by car. We enjoyed Crosby Landing, Nauset Beach and post-run early morning swim in Owl Pond. All house facilities worked without issue, especially A/C during hot humid nights. The kitchen is modern and incredibly well stocked for those nights you want to eat in. We took advantage of the proximity to Nickerson State Park for family walks directly from the house. I also used the park and connecting Rail Trail as a running route, starting and ending at the house, thus avoiding traffic.
Lovely home and beautiful view of pond
We were very happy with the tree house on Owl Pond. It is a beautiful home and a lovely deck overlooking Owl Pond. The kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed. We were on Cape Cod for our daughter's wedding and the location was great. Very centrally located. We felt as though we were staying in a "home" rather than a rental property, which we appreciated. We we highly recommend this property and will stay here again if were are in Cape Cod again.
