Pine Villa offers comfortable family accommodation (with each of the 4 bedrooms having a balcony) and benefits from full air-conditioning. The villa is located on the outskirts of Calis and access to the town is very easy with public transport or the local dolmus. The villa benefits from a good-sized terrace which surrounds the property and has open and shaded areas.
There is also a private pool (8 x 3m) and garden.
Calis: Calis is a charming and laid back holiday resort, with a seemingly endless stretch beach. The seafront has an attractively paved promenade lined with plenty of friendly bars and restaurants, a perfect place to enjoy a cold beer or cocktail, and relax as the sun sets over the distant peaks. Calis is famous for its dramatic and beautiful red sunsets. For the more energetic there are plenty of water sports and Calis has its very own water park.
Fethiye: Fethiye is a very busy harbor town with a population of over 50,000 people. The town imaginatively straddles the old and the new. The attractions range from the modern marina with its impressive yachts to the hustle and bustle of its authentic Turkish bazaar where you can haggle for anything from that copy (you know who) handbag through to that original hand made carpet. Fethiye has a magical atmosphere - it is a town not to be missed.
Things to do and see: The Fethiye region has an incredible range of sights and activities. For the naturist there is butterfly valley with it’s 70 different species, for the historians there are the ancient towns of Kayakov (Ghost Town) and Xanthos, for the adventures there are jeep Safaris and Saklikent with its natural spring, for the boat lovers there are the Gullets, for the energetic there is every conceivable water sport, and for the raving lunatics there is para gliding.
We had a great holiday at the villa. The location was great in Calis. The long beach lined with restaurants 10 minutes walk away gave us a great choice of restaurants for evening meals and some shops for my girls to potter around and buy their fake goods.
The water taxi for less than £3 got us over to Fethiye where we went to the fish market and took a couple of boat trips. The villa and pool were kept spotlessly clean. The swimming pool got daily care. Each room is airconditioned which is not noisy and there were no biting insects or mosquitos anywhere around. The property management guy was really helpful. couldn't fault the villa or the maintenance arrangements. The villa and location were great
We stayed here for 14 days in August 2011 and had an absolutely fantastic holiday. The villa is well positioned about a 10/15 mins walk from the main centre of Chalis and the beach but far enough away to be quiet during the day. The Dolmus stops more or less adjacent to the villa and a supermarket which catered for all our shopping was just over the road. We received superb before during and aftercare from Carol and also Bayram in resort. Our transfers were arranged and very efficient. We travelled as 2 families , 4 adults and 4 children ranging from 6 years old to 14 years and the villa is jsut the right size. The 2 ends of the villa gave an ideal ' separation ' for the 2 families to have their own privacy. The Villa is well equipt as the advert states with all conveniences you would have in your own home. The Pool area is lovely and the pool well maintained throughout our stay. We were able to BBQ in the evenings or use one of the many restaurants in the local vicinity. Just over the road from the Villa is Palms Restaurant and we ate here several times. This is well worth a visit as the owner Emrah and his waitress Aysel made us so welcome even organsing a fantastic birthday party for us with entertainment. All in all we had one of the best villa holidays we have experienced and will hopefully return here next year.
Great place to stay, very clean, spacious villa but seems to retain a very homely feel. The villa owner Carol who i spoke with before our holiday was very helpful and informative, down to the airport transfer which was excellent and very reasonable in cost. Villa description is very accurate and the pool is a good size compared to most in area and was cleaned every day that we were there. Our holiday party had a age range from 65 down to 14 and was perfect for all, I would recommend this villa to anyone including family and friends.
Our first impression of Turkey was great and our villa was amazing, a very accurate description on the website. It was large and spacious and the property was cleaned reguarly and the pool maintained daily. There was no need for a car as there was a very regular bus passing the door every 6-7 minutes. The beach was a 15 min walk away and although pebbly was large and never very busy.Calis was a lively town with many restaurants and bars open to the wee hours! very important when you have 4 children between 17-21.!! There were many trips available, we recommend the Sunset cruise, the 12 island tour( we hired a private boat which was fabulous ,lots of snorkelling and wonderful food, scuba diving was great and non divers could go too. You mustn't leave Turkey without experincing a Turkish bath! (The new local one in Calis is excellent.) The villa owners recommended a local restaurant and they were exceptionally helpful and the food great value too. We would definitely recommend staying at this villa and the owners made the visit complete by organising tranfers to and from the airport.
Many thanks for a great holiday.
Calis is situated in south western Turkey in the region of Fethiye. The resort is very flat and compact, with a fine sand and shingle beach. Although night-life here is fairly low-key, there is a good selection of restaurants and bars. Fethiye town center is just 5km away and is easily accessible by bus, taxi or water taxi. Fethiye is a pretty harbor town with fantastic fish restaurants, traditional harbor markets, quaint back streets, a wide variety of shops and friendly bars. For bargain hunters, there are two markets worthy of a visit. The Tuesday market in Fethiye is one of the largest in Europe, you can enjoy the hustle and bustle of an authentic Turkish bazaar. Calis has a Sunday market just a stone's throw from the villa. It is on a smaller scale to Fethiye and is an ideal location to get all your fresh fruit and vegetables.
