Welcoming and accommodating

Helenne is a great host who truly anticipates her guest's needs and exceeds them. Knowing we were traveling with our toddler, she child proofed the house. We arrived to fruits, bread, and juice in the fridge. As we were arriving in the evening, Helenne made us a delicious Poulet Colombo so we didn't have to worry about dinner!! She and her husband Bernard, are super hosts but even better people. Glad to have met life long friends.

Détente en famille

Le Bungalove est idéal pour se ressourcer et profiter du plaisir d’être en famille. Chacun y trouve son bonheur : la plage, la vue sur les cocotiers, le jardin, le hamac et surtout me concernant : la douche dans le jardin ! Merci à Helenne et Bernard pour leur accueil chaleureux ! Toute la famille a passé de super vacances.

Rarest of the rare.

If your dream is quiet peace and tranquility, and to be a part of the "real" Guadeloupe, then you have come to the right place. This place is far from Casinos and the hustle and bustle, but close to local shopping, outside markets, and "downtown" Le Moule. Le Moule, which is a small town with everything you could need, and has a picturesque front row seat to beautiful beaches and stunning landscape. Please Google: "le moule guadeloupe surf." The host is the "host with the most." The host arranged for us to be picked up with a rental car, which was waiting for us when we arrived. We were also taken back to the airport and dropped off. We had to do very little, except bask in tranquility. I will warn that the living conditions do put you very close to nature, which is what we wanted, but not everybody does. The bungalow is very safe, and so are the beaches in front of the bungalow, however, there are people walking around and enjoying the beach. Beaches in Guadeloupe are open to everyone, which is something we enjoy. If you're looking for an exclusive Club Med experience, please look elsewhere. Otherwise, if you are looking for a "real" island experience, and want to be a part of the local vibe, then this place is for you. We never felt unsafe. One more thing, it may take you a night or two to get used to the frogs at night and the sound of the pounding surf, which goes throughout the night. However, once you get used to that, it turns into a very nice nightly lullaby. Although you are basically on the beach, there is a fence and a hedge, which separates you from the beach. The nice part about this is that you can step out of the shower, onto the deck, and sun dry on a lounge chair or hammock, and nobody will see you. This place is perfect for us to literally unplug, However, the wifi does work well without interruptions and has good bandwidth. There is no television, microwave, or stereo. I suggest bringing a couple of good books and lots of sun screen. I almost forgot, almost nobody speaks English, but I assure you that isn't a problem. The people in the shops, restaurants, and gas stations are the most friendly and helpful people you would ever want to meet. Not speaking French should not dissuade you in anyway. We were able to get everything we needed with minimal effort. Also, since this is essentially France, the wine and food is very good and inexpensive.

Un jardin d'Eden avec vue sur la mer

Merveilleux, formidable, exceptionnel serait les qualificatifs pas assez forts pour qualifier notre séjour dans la maison de Bernard et Hélenne. Nous avons séjourné 10 jours merveilleux, nous deux familles avec 5 enfants entre 9 et 1 an. Tout d'abord nos hôtes sont exceptionnels comme rarement vu : un souci sincère de l'accueil, mettant à notre disposition tout le nécessaire, et anticipant nos demandes et nos désirs bien avant d’arriver. Le jour J ils ont été présents pour nous aider à prendre possession des lieux et découvrir l’ile, le tout sans être trop présents. La maison est magnifique dans le style créole, joyeuse, bien équipée, et agencée. On se sent chez soi en bien mieux …..Un point très appréciable, la climatisation dans les chambres est silencieuse. On a beaucoup aimé la terrasse avec plusieurs salons, le hamac, la table à manger, le tout avec une vue imprenable sur la mer. Le jardin est un vrai jardin d’Eden avec fleurs exotiques, bananiers, fruits de la passion, orchidées, colibris et papillons, autres oiseaux extraordinaires. Le jardin donne sur une plage de sable accessible aux enfants avec un petit bassin et donc baignade. Je ne sais que demander de plus et que dire de plus si ce n’est un énorme Merci à Hélenne, ce fut formidable . On a hâte de revenir!

Lovely bungalow

Des hôtes parfaits qui semblent prendre plaisir à recevoir et à donner du temps pour partager. Le bungalow est un endroit niché dans un très beau jardin et réalisé avec beaucoup de soin. la terrasse est énorme avec une vue imprenable sur les palmiers et la mer. Buller dans le hamac c'était le top. Merci à Bernard et Hélène pour cette magnifique semaine.

Merveilleux

Le bungalove est parfait. Tout d'abord son emplacement : situé en bord de mer mais à l'abri des regards. Le bungalove est entouré d'une végétation dense savamment entretenue. Ensuite sa fonctionnalité : tout y est pensé, un décor minimaliste mais efficace. Nous y avons trouvé tout ce dont nous pouvions avoir besoin. L'espace de vie (à l'extérieur) est aménagé (table, chaises, hamac) et très bien entretenu. Points extrèmement pratiques : une petite douchette pour vous rincer au retour de la plage(ça vous évite d'avoir du sable partout) et surtout une douche à l'extérieur (toujours à l'abri des regards) pour vous rafraîchir tout au long de la journée. Le bungalove est pensé avec soin et "amour" : l'amour des choses bien faites ; l'envie de faire plaisir. Il nous a fait pensé à une "bulle" ; une bulle dans laquelle vous pénétrez au début de votre séjour, une bulle dans laquelle vous passez un séjour calme, serein et authentique. Une bulle que vous laissez avec beaucoup de regrets.... Merci à Helenne et Bernard d'avoir pensé cet endroit avec autant d'authenticité. Calme et proximité de la plage incomparables. Le jardin est un paradis. Hôtes discrets et efficaces.

Le bungalove dispose d'un deck avec transats, de hamacs, et tout pour profiter des vacances. Un portillon à pousser et on se trouve sur la plage. Les enfants peuvent y aller seuls ce qui m'a permis de rester à lire, mon passe temps favoris. Bibliothèque petite mais variée sur le thème des Antilles et dans toutes les langues. On sent qu'ici les amateurs du monde entier se sont succédés. Beaucoup de charme, encore plus beau que sur les photos. Hôtes charmants.

Idyllique, idéal, identique à la description

Location conforme en tout point avec la description et encore mieux en vrai. De retour pour la 5ème, 6ème fois, (quand on aime on ne compte pas), avec mari et enfants. La prévenance des propriétaires Hélène et Bernard, fait de ce séjour une expérience que l'on ne cesse de renouveler. Le bungalove est le reflet de ces personnalités, de bon goût, fonctionnel, original et respectueux des invités et de l'environnement. La vue est superbe et la plage est juste derrière la porte du bungalove. De plus, Hélène et Bernard nous font profiter de leurs conseils et de leur gentillesse pour rendre ces vacances toujours plus riche.

Je ne sais pas sur quel point la note 4 a été donnée. Je pense qu'il s'agit d'un problème de handicap que nous ignorions au moment de la location (difficulté à ouvrir un volet sur le jardin, problème qui a été résolu). La maison a été louée pour un prix très bas car la location demandée à l'origine (à 450 euros la semaine) ne convenant pas à cette personne seule, on lui a loué la maison au même tarif (au lieu de 1200 euros par semaine. Transat en bois donné comme inconfortable alors qu'il y a hamac et canapé face à la mer. Je demande à ce que son commentaire soit effacé car je ne veux pas être mal notée sur cette location. Nous avions fait de gros efforts pour elle mais je crois qu'elle a eu un différent avec une personne de sa famille qui a loué pour elle. Merci de me tenir informée.

Wonderful getaway!!

We visited this lovely, lovely house in Le Moule with our family and it could not have been more perfect. Helenne was incredibly helpful and responsive before our trip and Fatia was an incredible help to us during our stay. The beach is beautiful, the people are lovely and there is everything you could need in town close by. We left feeling recharged and ready for the rest of the year. Thank you for hosting us. It really was such a gift to our family.

La mer et la plage devant la maison.

Endroit magique et unique en son genre. J'ai apprécié la maison Bleue bien que fréquentant la Guadeloupe régulièrement. La situation avec la mer et la plage devant est exceptionnelle et idéale quand plusieurs générations se partagent la maison. Grande terrasse conviviale et déco pour les moments de farniente.

AMAZING PLACE!

Staying at Maison Bleue was just a once of a lifetime experience!. Bernard and Helenne are very hospitable and kind hosts. They made sure everything was in order for our arrival and during our stay. We wanted to travel and discover more of Guadeloupe but this place is so amazing that we stayed there swimming in front of the house, reading and relaxing most of our holidays. The house is very well located, well furnished and well decorated. It is literally on the beach! Almost secluded, there is a natural swimming pool on the lagoon right in the front where it is very safe to swim and play with kids. The garden itself is a botanist wonderland, tropical fruit trees, flowers, palm trees, cactuses and of course all kind of colorful birds. I truly recommend this place and we will definitely come back. Thank you so much Helenne and Bernie to share your little paradise!
