Since we began visiting Breckenridge, we have always wanted a true ski-in/ski-out home with a high level of privacy and amenities. Our purchase 13 years ago of this Cedars townhouse realized these goals. This unit is a more spacious end unit (a big plus) and has been renovated both insjide and out. Inside we have new hardwood flooring, lots of new furniture, new TVs, and a new kitchen with granite countertops. Also in the spring of 2014 we completely renovated all 3 bathrooms. In the summer of 2016, Cedars implemented a new wifi and cable tv system which gave us super fast internet access and improved tv service. Repeat guests will continue to notice numerous upgrades and a high level of attention paid to our townhouse as we are regular users of it as well. It should be noted that unlike most other listings, our per night rate is all inclusive, except for a possible VRBO fee.
The living room is warm and cozy but large enough for a large family to relax in and enjoy the gas fireplace and the brand new 42' surround-sound HD TV and sound system. All of the bedrooms are upstairs and are far removed from the active living areas downstairs. The master bedroom has a king-sized bed, the second bedroom has a queen, and the 3rd bedroom has bunk beds (futon/full-size on bottom, single on top) and a twin. All bedrooms have TVs. The living room also has a comfortable fold-out couch that can sleep two. The master bedroom has views from the room or outside deck that are spectacular. There is a two-car garage that also serves as a place to keep your skis or bicycles.
Perhaps the best feature of this townhouse is the fact that in less than a minute after walking out the door you are putting your skis on and skiing down (about 50 yards) to the Quicksilver chairlift. (Cedars Townhomes are on the trail next to the Quicksilver lift.) This proximity truly makes skiing hassle-free and allows you to easily ski home for a relaxing lunch and avoid the high-priced and hectic mountain restaurants. The Quicksilver lift is also a base area with several restaurants, a lift ticket office and the ski school.
If mountain views are important to you then you should know that our townhouse, because of its location on the mountain has the best views of any Cedars unit. If spending time in town is something that you like to do, our home is a short (maybe four to five minute) walk to Main Street and the Village base area. Also, all Cedars guests have access to the Upper Village pool and hot tubs located just down the street. This facility has just been completely rebuilt and is amazing. A link to the Upper Village web site is below. (Let Mike the owner know if you're interested in using the Upper Village pool as a special key card is needed to get in.) And don't forget that your lift ticket is good at Keystone (check out their night skiing), Vail, Beaver Creek, and Arapahoe Basin. For those of you who are not familiar with the Cedars Townhomes, they are regarded as having the best overall location on the mountain because they are both ski-in/ski-out and close to town. Cedars units are now appraised at anywhere between $700,000 and $1,300,000 depending on size and location.
With all of the activities available in warmer weather, our townhouse is a great place to vacation in the summer. It seems that most of the locals say that 'they came to Breckenridge to ski but stayed because of the summers.'
Unlike other listings, you would be renting directly from the owners - not a property management company. This more than likely means lower rental rates!
