This is an affordable, economical, and comfortable private 1/1 condo that is quite large at 730 sf. and is easy on your budget! It has a queen sleigh bed in the bedroom and queen sleeper sofa in the living room. Children ages 10 and over are welcome. If you are on a very tight budget and don't mind sharing space (up to 2 people), please contact us about sharing a 2/2 condo very inexpensively with the property manager and her two sweet cats. It is located in the same building, also poolside and facing the forest. The guest bedroom has a queen bed. Thank you!

This is a retro, historic, 1960s art deco building of about 100 units. It's not the Trump Tower or Ritz Carlton by any means, but it has historic relevance and its unique design wave design is unrivaled in the U.S. Various renovations have been made in recent years such as enhanced landscaping with more to come in future years such as new windows and balconies, so balconies (all poolside and facing the lush forest) are decorative only until the HOA decides what to do with them in the next 2-3 years. This location, Pinellas Point, is sizzling hot with real estate land and property appreciation.

The building is minutes from the warm, turquoise waters and white sand beaches of the Gulf of Mexico, Fort DeSoto Park, and St. Pete Beach which was chosen by "Dr. Beach" as one of America's top beaches. This private condo is tiled throughout except in the bedroom which is laminated. The dining area overlooks the large oval pool, picnic/BBQ areas, sand volleyball court, and woods with palms, pines, and live oak trees for a secluded resort feeling. The living room contains a queen sleeper sofa, 2 living room chairs, two end tables, coffee table, large area rug, silk tropical plants, artwork, vivid paint colors throughout, an LED TV (with cable from BrightHouse Networks), DVD player, and small black lacquer entertainment center. The dining area is nearby with a solid dark wood pub-style table and two pub chairs. The bedroom has a queen sleigh bed, matching dresser with mirror, ceiling fan, wifi, two walk-in closets, TV, and attractive artwork. The bathroom has a sink, toilet with storage shelves above, tub and shower.

Maria was such a gracious host. She gave me so many ideas on things to do in the area, and the location of The Wave really is convenient to many things! The condo was comfortable and the pool was awesome! So happy that I took Maria's suggestion to go to Fort DeSoto Park. It was so laid back and beautiful.

Maria was very helpful from the time we booked her place she was answering our questions about things to do in the area. She even put beach chairs and an umbrella in the closet when I asked about renting them on the local beaches. Maria was very welcoming when we arrived and always responded to my texts messages (how I prefer to communicate) promptly. The area feels safe and the apartment was very clean and cozy with many amenities, like hairdryer, towels, iron, wifi, DVD's, pots, pans, dishes, etc.. Although the building is a little older, the apartment is comfortable and well kept. I would definitely stay there again.

Maria was a great host. From the moment I booked until the time I left she was very welcoming, helpful and extremely quick to answer any questions or concerns. She was also very accommodating and allowed us to check in early since the condo was vacant on the day we arrived. Then when we arrive she thoroughly explained everything about the condo and building, and showed us on the map all the things we were interested in and some great places to go in the neighborhood. The condo itself was very clean, just like the pictures. It was located in the middle of all the places that I had to go to that weekend, as well as the supermarket & gas stations. It really felt like my home away from home.

A great condo and so affordable!

We were in town for a wedding and rented this condo for two nights. It was very nice and in a great location. It was updated and comfortable and renting it was so easy. Covered parking, a fitness center and a great pool were so nice to have as part of our rental. And of course Maria was so wonderful to deal with!!!

A great staycation

We met Maria, the property manager upon arrival. She was very helpful and knowledgeable of the condo (owner) and the area. The interior was perfect and spacious for two people. It was clean and perfect for our needs. Close to SPB, Tampa and other areas of interest. We stayed a week and enjoyed our stay.

The greatest reward for most dedicated, people-oriented vacation rental owners and property managers is that guests enjoy their stay at the condo and condo building and ultimately get the rest, relaxation, sun and sand, and activities they seek on a holiday away from the duties and responsibilities of daily life--and often as a reprieve from the cold temperatures of northern climates which I know too well about having been raised mostly in Michigan. OK but not elegant

Maria was very cordial and informed us about the surrounding area.

We were somewhat disappointed that the balcony porch was not safe to use, even though the pictures showed patio furniture on it. There was a fair amount of noise from I275.

The unit was roomy enough but, just older then what we preferred. We feel "elegant" is a misrepresentation.

Owner's Response: James, what a shame to live life from the pessimistic viewpoint. This condo unit is attractive and spacious at 730 sf. We have a well equipped fitness center; a beautiful, clean, huge pool; and a tropically landscaped picnic area and paved patio next to the pool for outdoor enjoyment. I never saw you down there despite sunny days in the high 70s. This location is minutes from downtown, Ft. Desoto Park, and St. Pete Beach, and I gave you ample travel tips too about the Ringling Estate in Sarasota and the Edison/Ford Estates in Ft. Myers. I doubt you could easily book a different large condo for only 15 days in February for the price you paid here since most condo buildings have one month rental minimums. We aim to be very affordable in peak season because we acknowledge this is not a Ritz Carlton; however, this is a unique, historic building which has unrivaled architectural design. It was a VRBO guest who originally called this condo "elegant," by the way. Two years ago, I named it "Vibrant 1/1 Condo" because of the color scheme but a guest said to me, "This orange color is so unique. It gives your condo a very elegant appearance." The balconies will one day be renovated or perhaps demolished, so we ask guests not to use them. This has been ongoing for 2 years now and has never been a big deal. Good luck with your next vacation rental--I hope you can rate it a 5 star.

Noisy. Hallways smelled and were dark with only minimal lights in fixtures.

There was a printed note on the refrigerator with regard to bugs and a can of roach spray under the sink, which I had to use. Parking lot and grounds were unkempt. I was verbally attacked in the parking lot and threatened. Had to call police and left early. Would NOT recommend under any circumstances. Was told by manager not to turn in bad review. She called me a senile old lady and would report same to VRBO. I have an email from her to that effect.

Owner's Response: Sandra Fleming was an older woman in her late 70s who was, unfortunately, exhibiting signs of senility and dementia. She came alone from Wisconsin and was highly paranoid during her 2.5 week stay (although she booked for a month) and felt people were against her or threatening her including me. She could not remember simple events from one day to the next. She left the condo early to resolve as "problem with her house in Wisconsin" and wanted a full refund from me, the owner/manager. I gave her a 50% refund for the days she didn't stay only because I found another guest at the last minute who rented the condo for less than Sandra had paid. Although the refund was initiated 24 hours after her departure, Sandra emailed me multiple times in February to insist I didn't refund her and was stealing her money. Her last email to me was on Feb. 27 when she again demanded to know where her money was. My own research on VRBO showed the Sandra's refund went right back to her eCheck account in mid-January which is how she originally booked, but she had been waiting for a credit card refund because she kept insisting that she never used eCheck. Sandra, in her declining mental health which really prevents her from traveling alone and attending to her own affairs, should allow others to handle her business matters because she gets easily confused, upset, and paranoid. This review is an example of the disorganized thinking of this woman who wanted a 100% refund for the days she stated required her to return early in January to Wisconsin. Sandra was not entitled to ANY refund but she got 50% of her money back for unused days, but that wasn't enough for her so she wrote this ludicrous review. Poor lady. Her son is in Florida and she needs assistance from friends/family due to declining mental health.

Clean and comfortable

There to visit friends and they in turn will recommend to their families. Maria was quite gracious and helpful. She gave us good information on the property and its location. The location was convenient for us. The only negative I can think of is the proximity of I-275 and its traffic.

Public bus stop is a 5 minute walk from condo. Building is very convenient to the highway to visit Tampa and Sarasota. It's four miles east of St. Pete Beach and also downtown St. Petersburg. There's lots to see and do in this beautiful area. The condo has a pool, fitness center, sand volleyball court, picnic/BBQ area, and two laundry rooms on the first floor. There is a free assigned parking space at the building for your car too.
