About Terri Ramsey

We are two sisters with a great love of nature and spending time together with family and friends. This is our way to accomplish both goals and hope you will enjoy the serenity we have.

Terri Ramsey purchased this house in 2010

Why Terri Ramsey chose East

This is not just a rental but our personal cabin which we have opened for others to enjoy. The original owner lovingly designed and built the home as his retirement destination before love took him to Hungary to be with his wife. You will feel all of the special touches that make this a special place. My sister and I purchased it because of our love of the outdoors, the peace and calm that nature provides, and being able to share time with family and friends.. The home is located a short distance between three of the most beautiful state parks you will find in East Tennessee. The house has everything you will need for a memorable stay that will surely bring you and your family back a second time.

What makes this house unique

Travelers will enjoy a unique quality vacation with their loved ones or a romantic getaway with each other. The cabin is luxurious, comfortable well equipped with everything you will need and well suited for those who are seeking adventure as well as peaceful mountain surrounds that inspire awe. Wildlife is abundant in the area and is best viewed while either sipping coffee on the front porch in the morning or while driving through one of the lovely state parks nearby with your family.

Beautiful cabin in a nice quiet location!

  • 4 of 5

Great location for a long weekend getaway with friends. The cabin had everything that we needed and the kitchen was very well equipped. We loved the fire pit out back! The deck was the perfect place for morning coffee. We couldn't have asked for a more peaceful location for our getaway!! Thank you Terri!

Beautiful location

  • 5 of 5

Our family had a wonderful stay in Terri's cabin! We had six adults and one child (plus a 'wee babe') and had plenty of room. We cooked all our meals in the fully equipped kitchen and settled around the table to eat and visit. We enjoyed the fire pit and sang with our guitar outside most evenings. After hiking we used the sauna and it was a perfect way to relax. This cabin is off the beaten path and has a wonderful deck to use morning, noon, and night. Thanks Terri for sharing your beautiful home.

House is nice, owner is not!

  • 3 of 5

The house is very nice. Lots of room and great for a family vacation. Staying with me was my husband, our 18 month old twins, and my parents. The beds were a little small for what we are used to, but clearly stated in the property description. We came for my sister's wedding so we weren't in the house much. There was a beautiful outdoor sitting area but we didn't get to enjoy it because every time we stepped foot outside we had ticks on us. As for the property owner, all I can say is MAKE SURE YOU BUY THE RENTERS INSURANCE! Not long after we left for our 6 hour drive home with TWO 18 month olds she calls me wanting to know what happened to a laundry list of stuff that is wrong with the house. I decide that since I'm driving it would be best if I call her back when I stop to get gas, especially since the house was not in bad condition. About an hour later I get an email from the renters insurance company saying that she filed a claim against me. WHAT? She left me a voicemail saying that she had to do repairs on the shower where the shower rod was torn down (it was a spring loaded shower rod). Also on the voicemail she complains about some shelf, which has yet to be explained, evidence of kids (I tried to include the children during booking but for some reason the website wasn't letting me choose that option. Since we took them their own bed and towels I figured it was more important to include the other two adults we were bringing). Then she complained about the house rules not being followed. The basic house rules are strip all beds, take dirty towels to the washer, gather ALL trash and do all dishes. There was one bed left unstripped and the towels were left in the bathrooms. You do pay a cleaning fee, so to me that should cover picking up some towels. She is acting like we are a bunch of teenagers who thru a party and left trash everywhere. Not the case. This is just a normal cleanup that should be covered. I've rented several houses and I've never been asked to strip my beds and gather my towels and then also pay a cleaning fee. After everything she had to complain about on the voicemail she filed a claim for a broken coffee table. Where did that complaint come from?!? That wasn't mentioned in your voicemail. 🤔 First I heard of that. So I mentioned it to her in the email I sent to her and she had nothing say about any of my questions. I didn't have to pay the claim, but it sucks that anyone did, because it was fabricated.

Even better than the pictures!

  • 5 of 5

Amazingly this house was better than the pictures! Huge bedrooms, LOVED the 3 bathrooms. The whole house is nicely updated and the stone fire pit & seating was an awesome surprise. The location is nice and secluded, my dog got a nice work out chasing deer. 😊 We will definitely be back!
