We stayed here for a week in May 2026.The house and gardens are beautiful. The views over the estuary are spectacular. We had a dog with us and he was completely safe, as it was fenced all around the property and there’s an electric gate for entry and exit. The decking area of the house was very comfortable, good table and chairs, and well covered, great for eating out and playing games on. There’s a fenced pond/water feature with an abundance of amusingly loud frogs, and a small aviary with a couple of fancy birds in it.The house is great for two. I think it’d be fine for four, as long as it’s two adults and two kids. Beyond that is pushing it a bit. It’s in an excellent location for visiting other towns and villages. Combarro is lovely and a short drive away (and has a very good supermarket) and Sanxenxo is also lovely and a short drive away, and both have great choice of cafes and restaurants, all of which we came across were dog-friendly too. We took the train from nearby Pontevedra to Santiago de Compostela and we actually visited Viana do Castelo in Portugal, about an hour and twenty minutes drive away.Credit to the owner too; on our first morning we had no hot water. He had someone out in minutes (Sunday morning), who sorted us out temporarily and the boiler was fixed Monday morning and all back to normal. The location is great and the views across the estuary are something you can gaze at all day and all night.Highly recommended.
