Relax, enjoy the view, get away from it all at Cedar Lake, Nashua, IA!

Located at 228 Sample Street, Nashua, Iowa; the Nashua Lake House provides short term rentals which are available by the night, weekend, week or month! This fully furnished lake front property provides opportunities to enjoy Cedar Lake and the town of Nashua. There is construction taking place on the property during the summer of 2025. While the construction is not taking place on the unit you are staying in it is present on the property.

The lower level contains three bedrooms, one is furnished with a king-sized bed and two are furnished with queen beds. The fully equipped kitchen includes a roomy full-sized refrigerator equipped with an ice maker, full sized electric stove, super quiet dishwasher and built in microwave. The bathroom is equipped with a tub/shower combination. A full-sized washer and dryer are located off one of the bedrooms and can be used by guests.

We are adding an additional bathroom with a shower on the main floor and anticipate that it will be ready at some point in 2025. Please note that unless you request the add on on the upper unit, you are renting a three bedroom one bathroom unit

As an option, you can also add the upper story to your booking. The upstairs contains two bedrooms, each with a queen sized bed, a second kitchen, living room, laundry and a bathroom with a tub and shower combination. A couch upstairs also folds out. The cost to rent the upper unit is $75 a night. This is a charge that we need to manually add to the invoicing, so please let us know if you want to rent the upper floor in addition to the lower unit. Complete your booking, including inputting the total number of guests and then send a message that you want to add the upper floor. We will then send an invoice for the additional cost. Again adding the additional upstairs bedroom bathroom, second kitchen and living room is an option and is not automatically included.

The main floor dining room has a 54" round oak table with chairs, and the living room and master bedroom are each furnished with 32-inch flat screen televisions and DVD players. The home features hardwood floors on the main level. It has central air and central heat. the upper floor, if added to your booking, has its own central air and central heat, which helps ensure your comfort, with each floor having its own thermostat.

Outside you'll find a charcoal grill or two, patio furniture and a great view of the water. There is a large covered porch attached to the garage that faces the water. The porch is a great place to hang out in the shade and is equipped with four ceiling fans (very helpful if the air is still or bugs are being annoying).

The house sits high on the riverbank and the cement dock can be accessed by descending forty, rather steep steps, (with a sturdy handrail) to the waterfront. The small cement dock allows you to fish, if you'd like. Immediately to the east of the house is a small public park that includes a gazebo/shelter. Off street parking is available on the north side of the house. The entry door provides keyless entry with a four digit code.

The unit is smoke and pet free. While daily cleaning is not provided during your stay, a washer and dryer is available should you need to do up a quick load of towels, etc. Wireless internet is available throughout the house.

We have a personal use unit that is attached to the rented house. There is soundproofing between the two units to ensure privacy, but we do want to make you aware that we may be on the property site. There is a large patio area between our unit and the lake. You are welcome to use the patio. Quiet time is from 10:30 p.m. until 7:00 a.m.
