This was a great place, and it was perfect for us. Walking distance from most places. The only thing I would have changed would be to make it a little clearer that the pool is not on the property and is instead on Tybee Island.
My group loved staying here for a few nights to celebrate. House was clean, check in was easy and ubers to River St were VERY cheap! The host was also very responsive when we had a few questions. I would def stay here again!
Beautiful home! Eclectic home & neighborhood. Comfortable beds, very clean, and thoughtfully furnished with everything we needed. Great host communication.

Great Home with lots of Character!
Loved this home . Perfect for our family. Close to Historic Savannah. Not far from Forsyth Park. Loads of charm and character. Comfy bedrooms. We love homes from the early 1900's, so unique! Enjoyed our stay!

I am so happy that you enjoyed yourselves! We love having guests who appreciate our home and Savannah! We hope to see you again!
Very quaint and quirky old house. Very nice interior and plenty of room for the 8 guys we had for the bachelor party. It's a bit of a walk to the historic riverside district but worth it. We had a great stay! The owner was extremely helpful and kindly answered all my questions.
11 women from Ohio spending St Patrick's weekend in Savannah, and it was the best time. Our host was very responsive to our questions and the house was clean and had everything we needed. We were able to walk to some sites and eateries and was just a short ride downtown. Thank you Shana!
Came here for a bachelorette party and it was perfect! The house was clean and felt safe; and we thoroughly enjoyed the vibe. We were also able to walk to Forsyth Park! The only things we noticed is that the parking situation can be a little difficult and that there was only one futon. We had a great trip!

I do apologize about the futon as the guests before you broke it and the one we ordered hadn't come in yet. But we enjoyed having you and hope to see you again!
Perfect for a long weekend girls' trip to visit our friend in Savannah. The house is really neat - so intricately decorated! Had everything we needed. The neighborhood is not as updated as you see closer to downtown but we (4 women) felt perfectly safe. Cheap uber rides to downtown.

Very nice
We had more than enough space for three adult photographers and all of our gear. Quiet at night, and no problems with security at all, even though parking is on the street. We would stay here again if we get back to Savannah. Short driving distance to everything, and far enough away from the convention center crowds. Loved sitting on the front steps and talking with Oreo the Cat in the evenings and early mornings.

We were very satisfied
Great old huge home in Savannah decorated eccentrically.
Location seemed to be sketchy at first but we found the
Neighborhood to be very safe. Host was just amazing and so
Helpful and excited to learn about her renters.
"Oreo" the porch kitty was So sweet and quite the beggar.
We would definitely return but would bring friends with us to enjoy
Savannah the next time.

We really enjoyed getting to know you! That is one of the reasons why we wanted to be able to have these type of experiences is because you never know who you will meet and who will touch you! I felt great having you in our home and felt that you took care of it as if it were your home and I can not tell you how much I appreciate that! We look forward to having you and your friends back anytime and Oreo says hello!
Tip- if you need something, go to the Kroger. It is very nice, and the convenient stores in the area are rough.
The decor is as advertised, so don't be surprised by that. Good amount of space. Good sized dining room table that you can't see in the pictures. In addition to central air, lots of ceiling fans, dehumidifiers, and window unit ACs which is nice for Savannah summers. House and restrooms are older, but that is how this area of Savannah is.

Wonderful Stay!
Had a girls weekend with 6 other ladies and had a great time. The house was delightful and clean. It was spacious and we enjoyed our time together. The only problem is that we ran out of toliet paper very quickly, only had 2 full rolls. The bbq grill was dirty and rusted so we were unable to cookout as we planned but we made it work by cooking burgers on the stovetop. I will absolutely stay here again. Shana was very responsive to questions and welcoming to her home. If you are traveling to Savannah and looking for more room than a hotel can offer, this will be a great choice for you. You cannot beat the value for your money.

We are so glad you stayed with us and I wish I had known you didn't have enough toilet paper! I had four four packs that I always keep on hand, but I wasn't aware that you had run out! Please be sure to let me know next time so this isn't a concern! As for the grill, it has seen its better days, and so being said, I went out an purchased a new one because I hadn't realized how much the Savannah weather lately had taken its toll on our old one. Thank you for bringing this to my attention as I always try to have what my guests need on hand. We would love the opportunity to have you and your friends back anytime so we can show you the improvements we have made! I also appreciated how easy it was to talk with you and how much you respected our home, you kept it in great condition! Look forward to hearing from you soon!

the house in savannah is so charming and comfortable. we went on a girls weekend and had plenty of room for guests. the kitchen is perfectly set up for making meals . truth be told at first we were a bit wary of the neighborhood but got over that right quick when we got in the house and saw how warm and inviting it is. we had nothing but positive experiences with people in the neighborhood and a great time was had by all. would go back in a heartbeat and may just do that. thank you shana and tell oreo ( the most lovely cat that hangs out) I miss her ! thanks again we really had such a nice time at your lovely home

Thank you for staying with us and for your kind words! I am so glad that you included our neighbors in your review as they are good people! We were glad to host you and your guests and would love to have you back anytime, it is guests like you that make our b&b experiences so delightful! Oreo has made a huge impression on everyone she meets, she is the type of cat that just grabs your heart. We found her at first when her mom had abandoned her and her owner as well. She was almost feral but with a lot of patience and caring, she has become such a sweet cat and so even tempered that you would never know she was the same cat! She has taken the whole neighborhood under her arm as well as their hearts. We look forward to visiting with you again and have a great day!

Sweet old home
Upon arriving in Savannah we were very excited at the beauty of the town. Seeing the house made it all the more special. We were a little worried about renting a home, Sharron made me feel very comfortable with the entire process. There is definitely plenty of room for family and friends. It's an old home with beautiful wood floors. (Loved the chalk board table) remember the house is old, 2 bathrooms with claw foot tubs, 4 bed rooms upstairs and a futon down. Big kitchen, cute front porch and back yard. We were close to town and the cathedral (St John the Baptist) is breathtaking and a deffiinate must visit! Plan extra time down by the river. I would love to go back for another visit!

Savannah Bachelorette Party
Six girlfriends and I celebrated a bachelorette party here. The house is very quiet and is driving distance to everything. We took Uber XL everywhere, and each ride was about $10-$12 (for 7 people total). We had plenty of community space, allowing us to eat meals together, unwrap gifts together, and just hang out. The house is incredibly charming. On the last day, we lost power. Shana, the owner, was very responsive. She told us that someone had hit a power pole and let us know exactly when the power would be back up. She responded very quickly every time i contacted her.
Also, we loved the neighborhood cat, Oreo! I would stay at this house again and again.

Thank you so much for your kind words and we were glad to open our home to you and your guests! I think Savannah is a great place to have bachelorette parties, there is so much to see and do here and all of it is close to the house. We would love to have you back anytime and wish the bride to be a beautiful wedding and many years of happiness! Thank you for allowing us to share in your celebration!

Amazing time in Savannah
This was easily the best VRBO experience I have had. Even though we didn't get to meet her, Shana was a fantastic host. The house was beautifully furnished, and comfortably accommodated our group of eight, in from all over the country. The kitchen was well stocked, bathrooms and showers all great, and the four bedrooms plus couches were all equally comfortable. The neighborhood had a lot of character, and it was a quick five to ten minute cab or Uber ride to get to downtown. Besides the amazing decoration and furnishing of the house, an absolute highlight was the binder Shana left out with what seemed to be a quite complete guide to just about every restaurant, bar and attraction in Savannah, which also indicated her personal favorites. Not once were we lead wrong! Although this trip was just the guys, we all hope to return with our significant others to enjoy this spectacular house and Savannah sometime soon. From Seattle, Denver, Chicago, Grand Rapids, Asheville, Raleigh, and Atlanta we all thank you for your gracious hospitality!

We really appreciate your kind words and I wish I could have met you in person too! Thank you for understanding that my mom had surgery and needed me to take care of her, but I felt that our communication was wonderful. I wish everyone we had to stay with us was as kind and thoughtful as your group was. Anytime you are back our way, we would love to have you to stay, and same goes for any of your friends!
This house was PERFECT for my daughters Sweet 16 this weekend!! So cute and so much charm, and the lights made for the perfect “party” atmosphere!!! Shana was an AMAZING host and I couldn’t be more thankful for all her help and guidance, including helping me find a bakery for my daughters cake!! We can’t wait to stay here again on an ADULTS ONLY trip lol!!
Our daughter got married on the Riverboat Cruise so we needed a place to not only sleep at night, but host a very small bridal brunch the morning of the wedding. This home was just right. it's location is perfect if you don't mind a bit of a walk to the sights. We chose to drive to our different locations; with ease. Again, wonderful location. Do not expect country living - there are city noises and city parking. We did have to move our vehicles the first night; for street sweeping. However, the home owner gave us a heads up and the neighbors were very friendly to also warn us and offer parking suggestions. We basically parked around the corner on a different street - it was so simple. And it must be said, we never once felt that we were in an unsafe location.
The kitchen is large and fully stocked with everything from an air fryer down to a wonderful coffee station. I brought a few specialty serving dishes from home but otherwise, all we needed was provided. Because we did have extra guests arriving for a day, I did bring extra paper towel and toilet paper roles. However, there really was no need. The home was pleasantly stocked - including bath soaps / shampoos and ample amounts of bath towels. The home is "mature in years" so do not expect perfection that you would get in a new construction. With that being said, we truly enjoyed the uniqueness of the home due to it's age. The home owner is absolutely lovely - she was quick to answer emails / questions / and left a very detailed notebook of home rules and restaurant suggestions. Our family would definitely stay in this home again.
Meet our resident cat! This cat has adopted us, so please feel free to feed her when you are staying with us! There is cat food provided. We are starting a fund for the neighborhood cats as we now take care of six others! We also have donated days in our home for local hospice, if they should need. My husband first introduced me to Savannah in 2010. He had lived in Savannah previously, and because we both had lived overseas, knew that I would love the European feel of Savannah. It was the same reason he was drawn to it. We first came to enjoy the beautiful city, but we kept coming back because it fascinated us and we decided to start looking for a place to have as a vacation home. We saw many properties, but this one spoke to us so we finally decided to purchase this home. We had been living in NC at the time and this was our type of place for many reasons. We love the haunting feeling of Savannah, the great food, the eclectic vibe that is here. It is a place that young and old can enjoy and by having our home here, allows us to enjoy this as well. We want this place to be the same for you! Please take note, Oreo, the cat, is a strictly outdoor cat and is not ours. She is not allowed inside the house as I am highly allergic to any animals.
Why they chose this property
My husband and I kept coming back to this property in our search for a retirement home. This house reminds me of being in Europe, and I love the eclectic feel of the city. The haunted quality is another factor. We are very happy here, and we both feel this is our future.
What makes this property unique
Some of the best features of this house are the heart pine floors, the open staircase, the lush citrus trees, as well as the sense of peace we have when here. We love a comfortable home, so if you are looking for a place you can relax and enjoy, this is it. Even though our place is a Victorian home we allow the eclecticness of Savannah to add charm to it. It doesn't hurt that we are close to everything either! My husband is in law enforcement, so security is a must! We have outdoor motion lights, outdoor only cameras, as well as an 8 foot fenced in backyard. We also like how convenient it is to shopping, tours, the beach, restaurants, and River Street. Much of the furniture in this house has been distressed by hand by myself, as I do enjoy repurposing furniture! I love a good find, as well as furnishing either with pictures of places we have been, or knick knacks we brought back from Europe, Asia and Africa. This house feels lived in without feeling cluttered. We have enjoyed giving each room in the house special treatment, in that we made each room stand out in its own way. It is eclectic as well, but we allowed for the beauty of the Victorian home to stay, as that is part of what we fell in love with it for. We also tried to take into account people who would need high speed internet and we have games and books for both adults and kids to use. Feel free to borrow a book to take to the beach! I keep a manual in the dining room full of helpful information in the dining room, so if you want to know local restaurants and addresses to them, I have it. Need a church, that is there too. Want some local haunts? Fun entertainment, all there. And we even have local grocery stores for those of you who would rather eat in than out! My kitchen has a good many of the normal cooking utensils as I love to cook but if you want to make sure before your stay, please feel free to ask! If I don't have it, I may want to pick it up!
