Great house in a secluded area

A really nice house located on the top of the hill with a magnificent view all the way to Arezzo 21 kms away. Very well kept large garden. There are some additional buildings on the grounds which also are available for rent, but we had no neighbors during our stay. We actually thought the pool would be only for us, but if the other parts are rented, you will have to share the pool and the garden. Definitely a place we would like to return to.

Toller Ort zur Erholung mit riesigem Garten und herrlichem Blick

Wir haben einen schönen Urlaub im August zusammen mit unserer Tochter in Loro Ciueffena verbracht. Das Haus liegt auf einem riesigen gepflegten Grundstück, zusammen mit insgesamt 4 weiteren Ferienwohnungen bzw. -häusern. Hoch am Berg gelegen bietet es eine fantastische Aussicht bis Arezzo. Besonders gut gefallen hat uns der riesige Pool in der großen Gartenanlage. Die Ruhe ist himmlisch, man hört tatsächlich kaum ein Verkehrsgeräusch. Die Auffahrt ist allerdings abenteuerlich, da der Privatweg steil und nur geschottert ist (dies ist aber in der ganzen Gegend üblich). Ebenfalls typisch für den ländlichen Raum: Es gibt Schnaken und ohne Auto kommt man nicht weit. Für Mutige: es gibt einen Wanderweg ins Tal oder ins Gebirge, der direkt am Grundstück beginnt. Die Innenausstattung ist einfach, aber ausreichend, insbesondere die Küchezeile ist sehr klein. Für Kaffeetrinker: Unter Kaffeemaschine versteht man einen manuellen Espressokocher für den Gasherd. In der näheren Umgebung sind Loro Ciuffena und Arezzo sehenswert, nach Siena und Florenz sind es jeweils eine Stunde Fahrzeit. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und einen tollen Urlaub erlebt.

Wunderschönes Gelände

Gepflegter Pool, jeder kann seine Privatsphäre genießen, da es ausreichend Rückzugsmöglichkeiten an jedem Haus gibt, freundliche Vermieterin, die sofort bei Fragen oder Hilfegesuchen antwortet, Weg zum Haus beschwerlich und bei den Wetterverhältnissen der letzten Wochen (Gewitter und starke Regenfälle) erst recht nichts für weniger robuste Autos.

Paradies hoch oben

Hat man erst einmal die etwas versteckte Einfahrt gefunden und die Fahrt hoch auf den Berg hinter sich, kommt man in ein wunderbares Kleinod abseits vom Massentourismus. Düfte von Lavendel und Zypressen schmeicheln der Nase und die absolute Stille haben sofort uns überzeugt. Einziges Manko, wofür aber die Vermieterin nun nichts kann, sind die winzigen Mücken, die trotz chemischer und physikalischer Abwehrmaßnahmen, und ordentlich quälten. Bremsen gabs in der 1. Augusthälfte nicht. Das Haus ist gemütlich eingerichtet und alles sehr sauber. Eine Klimaanlage wäre schön gewesen, denn nachts kühlte es im Haus kaum ab. Der Pool war sehr sauber und die Wasserqualität angenehm gechlort. Rund um den Pool gab es genug Liegen und Sitzgelegenheiten. Die Lage des Hauses ist einzigartig. Man muss aber bedenken, dass man bis Florenz oder Siena eine knappe Autostunde braucht. Und die Auffahrt zum Ferienhaus ist definitiv nichts für tiefergehende Sportwagen. Die Gastgeberin ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit gewesen. Weil wir die Einfahrt mit google Maps und dem Volvo Navi nicht gefunden hatten, lotste sie uns persönlich. Wir waren mit Hund dort. Das Gelände ist zwar nicht 100% eingezäunt, aber wenn der Vierbeiner nicht all zu umtriebig ist, dann passt das sehr gut. Insgesamt haben wir uns dort sehr wohl gefühlt und können das Ferienhaus zu 100% empfehlen.

Traumhafte Lage, wunderbar ruhig, der Garten riesig, wie ein Park, mit altem Baumbestand. Das Beste: Den Sonnenuntergang auf der Stützmauer sitzend mit einem Longdrink in der Hand genießen.

Una tranquilla vacanza in Toscana

Io e mia moglie abbiamo passato una splendida settimana in questo piccolo cottage su una collina Toscana. La signora Lucia ci ha accolti e ci ha fornito tutte le informazioni di cui necessitavamo. La proprietà si trova in posizione strategica, a 40 minuti dal centro di Arezzo, a un'ora da Siena, e vicina all'autostrada per raggiungere Firenze. A 8 minuti di macchina c'e' un piccolo supermercato. Il cottage è dotato di un bellissimo pergolato sotto il quale rilassarsi o mangiare. Ovviamente vi deve piacere la vita di campagna: insetti e escrementi dei daini sul prato. L'uso della piscina è reso difficoltoso dal gran numero di tafani. Se ne avremo la possibilità, torneremo sicuramente.

Grande relax immersi nella natura

La casa è ubicata al limitare del bosco, e grazie a questo è stato possibile vedere animali quasi tutti i giorni proprio davanti a casa. L'interno è composto da due camere da letto (una matrimoniale e una con due letti singoli) di dimensioni normali (dotate complessivamente di un armadio e di un cassettone), una saletta con piccola tv, e cucinino con, purtroppo, solo due fuochi (ma provvisto di lavatrice, lavastoviglie e forno a microonde, senza forno tradizionale) e di un tavolo (che in realtà, se non piove, non si usa mai...). All'esterno è possibile pranzare in mezzo al verde, sotto un pergolato e con bellissima vista del bosco, proprio a pochi passi. La casa, essendo immersa nella natura ed al piano terra, è facile preda di insetti e ragni vari, che hanno spesso visitato soprattutto la camera dei bambini. Fastidiosa è stata la presenza di tafani all'esterno (anche in piscina), che ci è stato detto normalmente arrivano a fine agosto e con il clima caldo umido (in ogni caso la signora proprietaria si è subito attivata facendo regolarmente spruzzare disinfestante che ha ridotto il numero dei fastidiosi insetti) La piscina, di buone dimensioni e dotata di lettini e sdraio, è anch'essa ubicata in un bellissimo contesto verdeggiante. Complessivamente il posto è molto bello, e consigliabile a chi desidera una vacanza immersa nel silenzio e nella natura.

Charming cottage, stunning views, gorgeous pool

We had a lovely week vacation here at this charming, adorable, rustic cottage! Lucia was lovely and met us Sunday evening to open up the house and show us around. She was gracious and helpful directing us to a few good restaurants and wrote down some important places, such as the nearest grocery store, etc. In fact, Lucia was so responsive that she replied promptly to a few texts asking for further recommendations (ie. a nearby stable for horseback riding). The house was exactly as described, but the online pictures don't show how beautiful the views and landscape are... absolutely stunning. The house was about 5 minutes off a main road, up a winding dirt road. This made it so lovely, remote and quiet, but not super easy to run to the store for milk. The pool was fabulous. There were actually a couple villas on the same large property. We didn't overlap with any other occupants (luckily!) so we had the pool to ourselves. It is important to know that this pristine, beautiful pool is shared by the other 2 villas (if fully occupied). The house is rustic and the beautiful windows don't have screens to keep bugs and moths out. This didn't bother us, and seems to be pretty standard here, but should be mentioned. We loved a nearby restaurant called Aqualina. It was beautiful and delicious... we highly recommend! Overall, this villa was perfect for us and we had a wonderful stay. Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful home with us! We would love to return here! Thanks!
