Gidalia Apt is situated in the hills, in very peaceful surroundings , above the resort of Gouvia.This tastefully decorated apt is located on the groung floor of the property , and is ideal for a couple as well as a family of 4.
The Apt has tiled floor throughout , and consists of 1 large double bedroom, a open-plan modern kitchen with all facilities,comfortable sitting room with TV,dining area for 4 , and 2 single beds, bathroom facilities with a shower cubicle.Airconditionning is available in the bedroom.
The swimming pool( unheated) is shared with the owners. You also have access to an elaborate BBQ house, next to the pool ( see photos).

Ein echter Geheimtipp und ein wahres Juwel!

Wir haben vom 27.07 bis 06.08.21 unseren Urlaub im Glidalia Appartment verbracht. Vom ersten Moment an haben wir uns hier zu Hause gefühlt, umso mehr, als wir Sarah kennenlernten. Sie hat uns sehr herzlich empfangen und uns das toll ausgestattete Appartment und die wunderbare Außenanlage mit Pool, Outdoor-Küche und Loungebereich gezeigt. In der Küche fanden wir liebevoll bereitgestellte Getränke und Snacks vor und konnten somit direkt in unsere "Ferienkleidung" schlüpfen und erst einmal ankommen. Sarah hat uns angeboten, uns Sehenswürdigkeiten, Strände und Restaurants etc. vorzustellen und unsere Fragen über die Gegend und Korfu insgesamt zu beantworten. Wir trafen uns eine Stunde nach Ankunft am Pool und Sarah berichtete uns anhand einer Karte von vielen sehr schönen Plätzen. Alle ihre Tipps und Empfehlungen waren es absolut wert, besucht zu werden, viele davon hätten wir ohne sie nicht gesehen! (Schon angefangen beim korfiotischen Bäcker hinterm Supermarkt, bei dem dich früh morgens ein herrlicher Duft nach Backwaren und Kaffee empfängt bis hin zu entlegenen Bergdörfern). Sarah war für all unsere Fragen jederzeit da. Das Internet war zwar etwas langsam, aber wir waren ja im Urlaub :-) In der meisten Zeit war Sarahs Familie nicht im Haus, sodass wir uns auf dem gesamten Areal absolut privat fühlen konnten. Insgesamt ist das Gelände sehr uneinsichtig, es ist wirklich friedlich und eine Oase der Erholung. Die Zeit ging viel zu schnell vorüber und wir hoffen, eines Tages wieder dein Gast sein zu können, Sarah! Wir danken für wundervolle Tage im Glidalia Appartment. Carla und Petra

Perfekt für Ruhesuchende ohne Trubel

Wir hatten großes Glück in dieser aufregenden Zeit solch eine atemberaubende Unterkunft für unseren Urlaub zu finden. Der Kontakt zur Vermieterin war vom ersten Moment an perfekt. Schnelle, kompetente Antworten und Hilfe auf all unsere Fragen vor und während des Aufenthaltes. Die Unterkunft ist wie beschrieben. Sehr schön eingerichtet und liebevoll dekoriert. Man fühlt sich sofort willkommen und zu Hause. Sogar verschiedene Erfrischungsgetränke und Snacks waren vorbereitet, was uns wirklich sehr freute. Die Außenanlage mit Pool, Grillecke und die vielen Möglichkeiten zum relaxen sind phänomenal. Wir haben uns zu jeder Zeit wohl gefühlt und genossen die Ruhe! Wir kommen bestimmt einmal wieder, denn das ist unser neuer Geheimtipp! Vielen Dank für die schöne Zeit!

Urlaub im Paradies

Ein schönes und gut ausgestattetes Apartment mit einer traumhaften Außenanlage. Wir genossen den großen Pool und die riesige Anlage ganz für uns allein. Sarah ist eine sehr fürsorgliche Gastgeberin, die uns viele tolle Tips für die schöne Insel gab und bereits im Vorfeld alle Fragen beantwortete. Danke dafür und die sehr nette Begrüßung :-) Die Lage ist ideal, um die Insel in alle Richtungen zu erkunden. Allerdings benötigt man einen Mietwagen. Der Supermarkt ist ca 5 Autominuten entfernt, das Meer ca 10 Minuten. Wir hatten eine sehr entspannte Woche und empfehlen es gerne weiter.

"Living the dream" is wha...

"Living the dream" is what we did, staying at the Gidalia residence. It is the ideal heaven''s gate to Corfu. Ideally situated on a peacefull hill, near the beach & shops and close to Kerkyra. The domain has a splendid big garden, a large pool and an absolute magnificent resting area for eating (bbq), talking and ''la dolce far niente''. You have it all for yourself as you are the only residents. The apartment is spacious, tastefully decorated and has all comfort. Last but not least, our host Sarah is a peach of a woman. She helps in every way she can and is a discrete, warm person. (We also rented a car via her and were very pleased with that choice.) I honestly think you can''t find a better place to stay in the whole of Corfu."

What an amazing find!

This apartment is located under the main house with plenty of space for 2 adults and 2 children (we were just two adults!). The kitchen and bathroom were well equipped, the bed extremely comfortable and the air conditioning (bedroom only) was perfectly quiet! The pool and outside seating area is amazing! The best we have experienced with loads of options for those who like shade or sun! The pool is a fantastic size for splashing around or swimming lengths. The owner, Sarah, is a delight. Nothing too much trouble and had coffee with us the first morning to give us some suggestions for things to do and make sure we knew where everything was. She was there again on our checkout to ensure everything had gone well. Between those times we had the place (and pool) to ourselves! This is a highly recommended place to stay and a great find.

Perfect!!

We stayed at Sarah’s apartment for a week. It was located just outside the city of Gouvia, but close to everything. Perfect location! Very quiet and beautifull. The pool and poolhouse were amazing, the kids loved it! Communication with Sarah was the best we ever had, we also sat down together and got some helpfull tips to explore Corfu! We wanted to stay longer!! Thx Sarah!

Simply the best

Property and owner were without fault. The best holiday accommodation and wonderful pool and BBQ area. Tranquil and totally relaxing, could live there for ever. Fantastic pre holiday advice from Sarah on all things but especially car hire. Lovely, thoughtful welcome pack, all immediate needs catered for plus some tasty luxuries. Would love to go back there again and again.

Magnifique découverte à 10km Corfou environ dans un quartier calme d une propriété qui a tout pour rendre le sejour agréable, (situation, equipements decoration faite avec gout, piscine et espace detente magnifiques). Un supermarché sur Gouvia à 2mn en voiture et petit boulanger à côté qui fait du bon pain (dixit un francais) Tout cela allié à un accueil attentionné , chaleureux,personnalisé et quasifamilial par la proprietaire Sarah,s qui parle un francais impeccable ce qui fut pour nous un vrai luxe! Elle vous consacre du temps pour multiples renseignements ,suggestions de balades, bonnes adresses de tavernes, de loueurs de bateau et s'investit personellement sans hesiter! Toujours joignable si besoin ! Merci Sarah Corfou en septembre c est super et à Gidalia c'est genial A recommander Nous reviendrons c est sûr

Top rated apartment - everything we needed and more. The pool and pool lanai was just incredible and where we spent a lot of our time. Thank you Sarah for being so welcoming, helpful and friendly. Corfu was fantastic for our family - and this place was so close to everything - including close to where they shot the Durrells’ TV series which was such a rewarding surprise to discover. Would we recommend? Absolutely! Will we come back? Just try to stop us.

A 2 week stay in Corfu paradise June/July 2019

Since the moment we booked this stay my and wife and I were excited, having never stayed in Corfu before. I can only say that are dreams were more than realized and a lot of this was down to the property owner Sara. Sarah's hospitality and knowledge knows no bounds from suggestions and ideas of the island to looking after my wife and I in the villa. All was first class & it has been a great pleasure to meet Sarah & I cannot recommend Gidalia and Sarah highly enough. Minimum 10 stars out of the 5 stars available !! Sarah gave us a run down of the local area and suggestions in line with our plans and also included a short tour of Gouvia which was greatly appreciated. Again many Thanks to Sarah for this. The villa itself is excellent, very stylish and a cool retreat away from the soaring temperatures in the day should you need it, however the outside area to put it simply is amazing. The pool, outside lounge, bbq & kitchen area are all fantastically laid out with the trees and flowers making the whole thing picture perfect. We spent lots of time around the pool and had many a debate on if to leave the pool area to go "touristing" or simply just stay in this little piece of isolated paradise. The isolation is just that you are 20 minutes walk away from the centre of Gouvia which was ideal for us. We did escape the pool on occasions and I am glad we did - Corfu is a beautiful island with great people, places to visit and also the cuisine is excellent. I am hopeful of a return to Corfu but I think I will only stay in one place Gidalia. Many Thanks to Sara for your help & wonderful place.Diane and I hope to return soon, its been a great pleasure to meet you and all the best for the future. We may have stopped "Durrelling" but we still love this place.

Relaxing break in a beautiful location

We really enjoyed staying in a Greek home. The apartment is spacious and very well equipped. The pool area is excellent, and the location of the property is ideal for peace and quiet, yet within walking distance of Gouvia, and the local bus service. Sarah was very welcoming and informative, and our stay more than lived up to the high expectations we had having read the previous reviews

Highly recommended!

We had a really lovely week at Sarah's home set in a quiet neighbourhood a few kilometers away from the east coast nr Gouvia. The location is excellent for airport access, Corfu Town, supermarkets and v well placed for visiting all areas of the island! The apartment is very spacious, comfortable and extremely well equipped. It is on the ground floor of Sarah's large villa but completely private with separate access. The jewel in the crown has to be the fabulous swimming pool and amazing entertainment /bbq area with tables, chairs and loungers... Ideal for relaxing by the pool and al fresco dining! Sarah is super helpful and friendly... She gave us advice on excursions and restaurants. We would highly recommend staying at Gidalia Apartment and hope to visit again soon!! 1 week in June at Gilfada

My wife and two children stayed at ‘Gilfada’ for a week and I can thoroughly recommend it as a brilliant base for exploring Corfu. The apartment is beautifully furnished inside and comes with everything you need - lots of kitchen utensils (including plastic ware for the poolside), fresh towels, aircon, extra fans, tv, books and games and lots of leaflets for various tourist spots around the island. Best of all is the pool and bbq area which you have completely to yourself - it’s a really lovely spot, surrounded by flowers and plants and we couldn’t keep the kids (11 and 5) out of the superb pool - they loved it. Finally, a huge thank you to Sarah for being such a brilliant host. Even before we arrived she was really thoughtful, checking what time we were arriving, suggesting a great car hire company and giving us directions to her place. She was also there to greet us when we arrived even though it was after 10pm and had thoughtfully left a couple of pizzas, bread, milk and wine in the fridge for us. She also dropped by the next morning to give us the ‘tour’ and suggested loads of great places to go to, including local restaurants and bakeries. All in all, a fabulous place to stay in beautiful Corfu.

A 5 star apartment with a 5 star hostess.

The photos don’t do this apartment justice as it is simply beautiful: it is spacious and tastefully decorated; it has plentiful kitchen gadgets (more than we have at home!) with numerous cooking utensils/crockery and the beds are really comfy. The outside area is fabulous as the pool is large and has the most amazing outdoor sitting area with BBQ. Sarah is not only a lovely person but also a fantastic hostess who takes time to recommend excellent places to visit. The apartment is ideally situated to explore the island - car hire is essential. I used Sarah’s car hire recommendation which was much cheaper than the rentals that I had found online. We usually rent a private villa with pool and this apartment offers similar privacy yet is better value for your money. Without doubt, I would return to this apartment should I visit Corfu again.

Appartement très spacieux, ouvert, propre et agréable à vivre

Propriétaire acceuillante et chaleureuse, donnant plein de conseils sur les activités à faire sur l'île, sur les restaurants et tavernes, etc... Piscine indispensable et spacieuse et pergola avec barbecue intégré tout simplement génial. Lits très confortables. Tout pour rester longtemps ! Petit bémol quant au Wi-Fi qui n'est pas toujours disponible dans toutes les pièces de l'appartement et au fait qu'il n'y ai un airco que dans la chambre Sinon excellent séjour passé là-bas et à recommander bien sûr !

Wunderbarer Urlaub bei tollen Gastgebern

Die Begrüßung und Betreuung in dem bestens ausgestatteten Appartment durch die Besitzerin Frau Moser-Kantas und ihren Mann übertrafen alle unsere Erwartungen. Wir hatten noch Anfang November einen wundervollen Aufenthalt in der sehr geschmackvoll gestalteten Anlage mit einem sehr schönen Pool, in der wir uns sofort wohlgefühlt haben. Wer Wert auf Ruhe, Stil und eine tolle Gastfreundschaft legt, ist hier bestens aufgehoben. Die Bilder der Außenanlage sprechen für sich.

Perfect Apartment - can't wait to go back!

My husband and I spent nine fabulous days here at the start of September 2017. The apartment is lovely - tastefully decorated, with everything you could possibly need. The bedroom has a very comfy large double bed, with lots of wardrobe space and good aircon. The kitchen is fully equipped, with plentiful crockery, pots, pans, and even a cool bag and freezer blocks for picnics on the beach. Everything works and has been looked after. It really is a home away from home! And then there is the outdoor area! Wow! The pool is just lovely! It was cleaned several times while we were there. There was a selection of sunbeds around the pool, as well as an impressive BBQ, outdoor kitchen, dining area and outdoor living room. Again, all very well kept and really nicely decorated! We lived out here for most of the week, and had it all to ourselves. It felt very private. The location is great too - we walked into Gouvia for an evening meal on several nights - it only takes about 20 minutes. But the apartment is far enough out to be lovely and quiet. Gouvia is well located for exploring the north or south of the island - nowhere is more than an hours drive away. And finally, the host Sarah is extremely helpful. She helped us to arrange car hire, book a fantastic boat trip to Paxos on small yacht, and recommended numerous meals out in fantastic Tavernas around corfu. All of her recommendations turned out to be very enjoyable experiences and really made the holiday. Thank you Sarah! Perfect!

Fantastic place!

We spent 18 wonderful days and enjoyed every minute. The apartment was very cosy and bigger from what we expected. Very often when you see pictures on the internet it looks bigger from how it really is, but we got the opposite experience. We got a warm and great welcome from the hosts, and are so thankful. The outdoor area is fantastic, quiet and great atmosphere. The apartment is well equipped and we did not miss anything! We can highly recommend this and we hope to be back in 2018. Sehr erholsamer Urlaub in toller Umgebung

Wir waren zu zweit für 14 Tage im Juni bei Sarah zu Gast. Sie ist eine sehr aufmerksame Gastgeberin, die sich von Beginn an bis zum Ende vorbildlich um ihre Gäste kümmert. Das Appartement ist zweckmäßig eingerichtet, und man findet alles vor, was man braucht. Wir haben es nur zum Frühstücken und Schlafen verwendet, der Rest des Urlaubs spielte sich im Freien ab. Und genau da liegt das große Plus dieser Unterkunft – ein super Außenbereich mit einem herrlichen Pool, den man ganz für sich allein hat. Supermarkt, Bäcker und Gemüseladen sind alle nicht weit entfernt. Einen Mietwagen hatten wir die komplette Zeit des Urlaubes, so kann man abends zum Essen fahren oder Tagesausflüge gestalten. Möglichkeiten gibt es auf Korfu genug.... Uns hat es sehr gut gefallen.
