The stay was great. Ideally located within the historic district. Met the owners who were very gracious. Would stay again.
Excellent location. Excellent hosts!!
Cozy and comfortable!
Beautiful garden to sit and relax, comfortable indoors with all amenities and walking distance to the best parts of Charleston. We enjoyed our stay!
So glad you enjoyed your time at the Carriage House. It is a beautiful little spot to relax after a long day of walking around Charleston. I hope you will be able to come and visit with us again!
The entry into this apartment is beautiful, a garden that is well planted and tended. The apt has a light airy feel, the pics capture it well, although it was even more spacious than we expected. Our bed was very comfortable——the blue bedroom,; our friends stayed in the green bedroom and said that they rolled toward each other, so it was less comfortable.
It was clean and very comfortable for sitting around the few times we did.
The lamps need some tweaking because they wobble. There is a spotlight on at night that is very bright and disrupts the quiet mood of the garden if you would want to sit out there and enjoy the evening. But the location was perfect for us to walk everywhere easily. We would all recommend this to friends.
So glad you enjoyed your time in Charleston and your stay at the Carriage House. It is a charming little house in a fantastic location. We hope you will be able to visit again soon and this time we will get the light turned off for you:)
Such a great location to stay while in town for a wedding!! Walking distance from everything and was comfortable for 2 couples with a beautiful garden outside! Loved it!
Thank you for your review! The location of this property is great. It is an easy walk everywhere. We are glad you enjoyed your stay and hope you stay with us on your next visit to Charleston!
Quaint historic carriage house in extremely convenient location.
Having a fireplace was unbelievably nice. Perfect size, nice to have your own kitchen with a view on a historic Charleston patio. Peaceful garden with soothing fountain. Walking distance to everything you’d want and close to world class restauants and the Harris Teter grocery store. The only negative is the home could use a deep clean (carpet, shower). Overall, we would highly recommend staying here. Betsy and Greg are lovely hosts. They fixed the cable the same day we reported it and brought us breakfast foods after a friendly reminder.
Tours of Historic Private Homes are available in Spring and again in Fall. Museum Houses are available for tour year round. Ft. Sumter tours, walking tours, city tours in air conditioned vans/buses, horse drawn carriage rides and water tours are all available.
