Country Living Getaway at Josie's Guest House

Welcome to Josie's at Ibling's Family Farm. This updated home is situated in Brownsdale, MN located on a family farm site that has been in our family for more than 100 years. Named Josie's after my mother who resided there. This location provides a beautiful venue for families, couples retreats, and girls weekends.
We are 90 minutes south of the Twin Cities just off Hwy 56. We are less than 45 minutes away from Rochester, MN home of the renowned Mayo Clinic.
In today's hectic busy world, let this be your escape from the daily grind and a place to recharge your batteries. Relax and enjoy the natural beauty that surrounds you. You can experience that top of the world feeling in the meadows of brilliantly colored wildflowers with Minnesota wildlife.
Enjoy the walking trails or the breathtaking views from the deck. You can go out and explore all that nature has to offer. Have a morning cup of coffee on the beautiful wrap around porch.
This house is perfect to bring the whole family! Parents can enjoy the upstairs level with complete kitchen while the kids enjoy the downstairs level of the home that is more catered to them. This home is ideal for family time or for girls night out, romantic retreats, business travel, bridal/baby showers or other small events. There couldn't be a more perfect spot for your unique gathering. You are welcome at Josie's!

Older home that brings back childhood memories
This is our second stay at Josie’s. Great home with lots of beds and room for families. Kitchen is well stocked for cooking. Close to Austin and Blooming Prairie where our extended family lives. Not fancy but just right.

AUSTIN BRUINS WEEKEND
Great location to spread out with a bigger family to catch my son's hockey games. There was a septic issue next door that we were thankful we were informed of - and we understand stuff happens. This place really fit our needs.

Great place to stay for family gathering!!
This was a very quiet and peaceful place to stay. We had a family gathering of sisters and nieces stay for the weekend. It was clean, well maintained and comfortable. The front porch was one of the favorites! It is in the country yet close to town to enjoy festivities. Would diffently stay again and recommend to others!

Some improvements are necessary, indoor stairs to 2nd floor are scary (I hit my head) and the stairs to the garage area are very steep. Wished the enclosed area was functional, ceiling fan, screens fixed, lighting. More lighting is needed over upstairs stove. Dull knives, big mixing bowls would be great. With all that said, we really enjoyed our stay and would definitely consider staying again.

Loved staying at Josie's Cottage. Beds were very comfortable, WiFi was strong to get work done, many options for sitting outside, all in a picturesque setting.

Perfect for our little gathering!
This place was just what we needed! There were three of us couples, as well as a few singles that all travel to the area to attend a wedding of a friend. Because we came from all over Canada and the US, we wanted to spend some time together other than at the wedding, and so we booked this place to be able to do that. It's an older house, and it has a few quirks, but it was very clean, and really had all that we could have wanted. The upstairs kitchen and living room is accessed by a stairway coming directly into the upstairs bedroom, which isn't quite ideal, but we made it work. The hostess was quite accommodating with the few requests that we had, and so all in all it was a great stay, and we would not hesitate to stay here again, should we travel to the area again.

Extended family of 7 stay
Kitchens worked out wonderfully. Having a living area upstairs asked us to keep the main floor quiet during nap times. Outdoor games were used in garage so we could be out of the wind during a chilly November weekend but still let little ones run around. The house is close to a busy, great speed road right outside of town, but she's have a fenced area in the back. Tables are all counter height, a little challenge for younger eaters! House was fine, and our experience together was priceless.

Had a family wedding in Lansing, MN and found this location for the family to stay at. It was fantastic! The upstairs is a fantastic space to hang out, has a beautiful back yard, and a Wii that we got to play! Highly recommend!
