Ideally located in the South West of France, near the famous tourist places and 5 min. Lake Saint-Pardoux (300 ha) and swimming pool, the house is part of the hamlet of Margnac 5 km from the village of Compreignac.
Very quiet place, house renovated a few years ago with taste: all comfort, tastefully decorated, large terrace on one level with the garden, private pool and barbecue, in the heart of the countryside, 20km from Limoges in the limousine forest.

Annual vacation

The good points - lovely pool, very peaceful, friendly neighbours and cats. The not so good points - bedrooms awful, could not stand upright, and access to open the windows difficult. No latching on bedroom door, had to be wedged shut. Little clothes wardrobe space. Not suitable for young children and older adults due to the 27 steps from ground floor to the bedrooms. Unpleasant fumes from the mower in the garage almost over-powering.

Depuis 25 ans, on nous a toujours rapporté que la maison était arrangée avec goût… c’est une maison d’architecte… on accède aux chambres (rénovées elles aussi) depuis la pièce principale, ouverte sur une mezzanine et le jardin de plein pied avec le jardin, par un escalier d’un quinzaine de marches. Le week-end, le jardinier utilise sa tondeuse pour assurer un entretien du jardin: le tracteur dans le garage n’est donc pas utilisé par lui… Quels chats: il n’y a pas de chats dans le village ? Bref, on n’a pas compris pourquoi Tony perd ses nerfs dans son appréciation: sans doute parce qu’on lui demandait à distance de vérifier les mesures de la piscine alors qu’il faisait très chaud, afin d’éviter que l’eau vire? Il voulait que ce soit le jardinier qui revienne pour faire le nécessaire... Tony a réservé cette location instantanément, sans nous poser de questions pour voir si le logement lui convenait… Il est prêt pour des séjours à l’hôtel… Les vacances sont faites pour changer tout ce qui fait notre quotidien, faire les choses autrement. Une attitude déloyale est tout le contraire de la mentalité initiée et attendue par les maisons d’hôtes.

Un vrai petit paradis

Cette maison est un véritable havre de paix nichée en pleine campagne dans un petit hameau. La maison est joliment décorée et tout est bien pensé. Sa proximité avec le lac de Saint Pardoux permet des activités comme le canoë, le pédalo et le vélo . Se plonger dans la piscine chauffée en fin d'après-midi après s'être promené et avoir vu tout ce qu'il y avait à voir autour de Limoges, est une chance extraordinaire. On y reviendra certainement !
